Dino Melaye did REMEDIAL STUDIES called SGRS and started 100 level in 93 thereby remedying his O'levels in ABU
FINALLY The minimum graduation credit units for a 4 years course is 120.
What erased his name from Alumni's website? Dino Melaye already scored 136 even with 4 carry overs at the time
ABU could graduate him even without writing the 4 carry overs, let alone writing them in the 3rd semester and passing all of them
Friends, Dino graduated with a third (3rd) class honour in Geography from ABU, Zaria in 2000
CASE CLOSED !!!
VICTORIA ASCERTA !!! What then erased his name from school's alumni website? |

AutosBay: N-power Lagos Please note; Nobody is asking anyone to come on Monday to fill account details. Anyone that ask you to do that at your LG should be reported with immediate effect. The list sent to the focal person from Abuja doesn't indicate the local government affected beneficiaries from, so there is no way she can't paste the list to various LG. That's the essence of coming on Monday to write your name, phone number, program apply for and most importantly your LG. The list will be taking to Alausa at the office of the focal person and that will help in sorting out the LG each beneficiaries falls under before pasting them. So Monday meeting at your various LG still stands. Pls it is important you show up and fill in those columns. Remember your name, phone number and your LG. Anything aside from that should be vehemently ignore. I am sorry for quoting u again but it's like I am confused by this post. Please, do u mean the list will be ready at our serious LGs for correction by 2mao or we should all go to the focal person's office since u said the list sent to her from Abuja does not bear our LGs for classification? Abeg, clarify again. because, e be like sey dey no hear anything correction list for Eti-Osa LG (Obalende) |
Politics › Re: Dino Melaye's Name Missing In ABU Alumni Website by Livebygrace: 10:07am On Mar 26, 2017 |
adanny01: As an ABUSITE myself, i browsed the ABU Alumni website (alumni.abu.edu.ng) for curiosity and found that the records of all Alumni of ABU have been captured.
Sahara reporters which reported that Dino Melaye never graduated from ABU suddenly came to mind. So i began an interesting search.
First i checked my name as an Alumni, it was there. I checked my old roomate's name, it was there. I checked for my departmental friends, all were there except for one whom i know never graduated. I went beyond my department, all names i could think of were there. Finally, i browsed geography department and started with friends and family i knew who graduated from that department, all were there except my late friend who died in 300L. From the results shared by Sahara reporters, Dino used the name Melaye, Daniel Jonah. So i checked for Daniel first, there was nothing like Daniel Melaye or Daniel Jonah. I went to J where i checked Jonah with anything Daniel or Melaye, i didnt find any. Lastly, i went to M where i expected to see Melaye, there was none.
To confirm if old entries were captured, i decided to check my fathers name who graduated from History department in 1978. I was shocked to see my old man's name.
Dino Melaye's name was no where in the list. From my understanding, Dino Melaye was a student of ABU for the required 4 years but needed to spillover and write 3 courses to graduate which he might have not done. It is my conviction that Dino Melaye is not a graduate of ABU Zaria unless some new evidence is shown and analysed to prove otherwise. Abeg, help check Daniel Melaiye Jonah maybe u go find am. Na wetin him senior claim he dey bear for schl be that. |

darkhorizon: You are not making any sense with your arguments, how are they better than Bsc students, and since you said you offered all the Bsc courses, tell me how you managed to do that without exceeding your maximum allowed credit, and that in the span of just 4 years. I can't just but laugh but I won't answer your question. Even if I answered, u will still continue this way because it seems u're wiser than all the universities that offer MSC admissions to BSc. Ed. graduates. Bye for now. |
Education › Re: [help] B.Sc, B.Sc(ED) And B.ED certificate discrimination in Nigeria by Livebygrace: 8:23am On Mar 23, 2017 |
darkhorizon: @Livebygrace
Finally let me layout the structure of Bsc. and Bsc(Ed) in my discipline(Physics) for my university. 100 level: Bsc(Ed) and Bsc students offer the same core courses in Physics/ Math, infact we did all the math courses of 100 level. Total number of physics courses done:6 for both Bsc and Bsc(Ed) students 200 level:Bsc(Ed) and Bsc students offer the same core courses, only that electives were chosen from faculty of education for Bsc(Ed) students, and electives from faculty of physical sciences for Bsc students. Total number of physics courses done:7 for both Bsc and Bsc(Ed) students
300 level(The difference begin here): Bsc students offer all core physics courses, which is 12 in total and also 3 required courses from math( completing the maximum allowed credit of 48). While Bsc(Ed) students offer just 6 out of the twelve completing their credits in courses of the faculty of education. Total number of physics courses done:12 for Bsc students and 6 for Bsc(Ed) students 400 level: Out of 35 physics courses to chose from,Bsc students are required to select a minimum of 14 courses for the session. While only 11 of the 35 courses is available to Bsc(Ed) students to choose from. And they are allowed to choose between 5 and 6 completing their remaining credit at the faculty of Education. Total number of physics courses done:14-16 for both Bsc students 5-6 for Bsc(Ed) students.
So from this analysis, you can see that we didn't do the same number of physics courses throughout our stay in the university. And mind you,i can confidently say that I did 50-60% of Bsc Math entire coursework but still I can't outrightly say I am equal and superior to Bsc Math students/graduates. Bsc Math students only did 4 Physics courses in 100 level and that's all.
And moreover Project topics in Bsc and Bsc(Ed) is a clear indication that they are not the same.
In Bsc Physics for example, your project might have you researching on latest cutting edge technologies, fabricating stuffs,or do a pure mathematical analysis of a physical system.
While in Bsc(Ed) Physics your project might have you researching on how to improve the standard of teaching Physics at the secondary school level, or taking about how the teaching of specific areas of Physics will benefit the society at large. And so on. Imagine! And u use ur SCHL to generalize? I am telling u what is obtainable with Bsc. Ed. Cert and u're arguing even when u don't have type of cert. Anyway, ccontinue but for your info. Science Education is an application of science to education, the reason they write projects on education while other sciences only apply to Physical sciences. Believe it or not, someone with BSc. Ed. is at advantage over those with only BSc. I have friends we graduated 2gether working in industries but u wouldn't believe because I've programmed itself that way. Maybe when u get out of ur schl, u'll learn better. Better still, consult ur lecturers for more clarifications. |

AutosBay: When this struggle started, our goal then was verify and pay us our stipends. We vehemently pursued this goals with different action starting from the media to social network and I also remembered we wrote letters to different agencies both private and government. We spent money energy in fact every of our last breath was used to make sure we achieve our goals, with all that put in place, we were unable to achieve it, then we were forced to protest and finally we were verified and paid. All wasn't done on platter of gold, many of us sacrificed our money, energy to get to where we are today. In fact it got to a point when we noticed people didn't turn out for the protest, we device means to get the attention of everyone. The first one was to tell them "All Npower volunteer member are to come to Alausa for verification." It went viral and everyone ran down to Alausa and we had a successful protest. The second one we had to tell everyone that Governor Ambode want to meet with all Npower volunteer corps members, without wasting time, people converged at the blue roof LTV not knowing that we actually device that trick to lure them for protest. All those things are gone now. Please let's face the reality, many of us are responsible to why we were not paid so sorry to generalise it cos we re still together in this struggle. Now the first question we need to ask ourselves is this; 1. How many people were verified for this program? 2. What criteria did they used to disqualify people? 3. How many people were paid for the first time last week? 4. How many Npower members have not been paid? 5. From the number of those that have not been paid, how many made this mistake on their own when filling their profile. 6. How many have their profile intact and they were not paid? (I think this set of people has every right to protest) If we don't critically analyse the above statistics, then I don't think we are ready for protest. Let's use some states as case study, Anambra for instance, many of them were not paid, it was just last week their focal person got the payment report and as I am speaking to you right now, their issues have been solved and their payment is been process as I speak to you. Ogun is another case study, after all said and done, they got paid last week Wednesday. I will be sincere with you guys, I don't like saying this but I must say it, I haven't been resting because of the unpaid volunteer members, my colleague and I have been on the neck of the focal person, in fact she shouted at me on the phone on Monday becos of this issue, I decided to give her some space. The pressure continues today and I sent you guys the latest from her. The issue is not even the focal person, it is the FG that is delaying the payment report and I have told them let's give them this week to see what they are up, if nothing happens, then we will strategies and take action immediately. Before we can be able to that, we must exhaust all avenues we have such as letters and social media as strategy to get to the top. So I am still pleading with the unpaid volunteer corp members to still be patient before we take any action that we might have ourselves to blame for. It was patient that brought us to where we are today. We in Lagos are so lucky, do you know how many month it took other state to select device? And here we are within one week we were paid, we are able to select device, even those that have not been paid are selecting device. This is to tell you that they are now fast tracing everything to make sure they solve the impending issues on ground. Posting issue If you are N-teach and you didn't see your name at the LGEA, be rest assure your name will appear in the next list for secondary school. As at 11am this morning, the information we got was that the ministry of education are still compiling the list after which they will dispatched them to district one, two, and three. These are the district in charge of posting to secondary school. So by Monday hopefully, the list would have been ready and information on how to check our names will be posted on this platform. Please note whether you have been paid or not, please feel free to go check your name at the appropriate time. N-agro should go to oko oba at Agricultural development Authority Agege to check your name. The funniest thing is that I cannot see any trace of verification since I did mine. No verified logo...no account name display. NASA for this country. |

darkhorizon: Here you go again,in a session, there is a maximum number of credits allowed to be registered. And most departments nearly exhaust the maximum credit. Now,tell me how someone will take enough education courses and also enough science courses without exhausting the maximum allowed credit. And both the Bsc. student and the Bsc.(Ed) students have the same 4 years to finish up their coursework.
Reason, common sense is free. And by the way as per my university, its Unilorin. Good! U mean Ilorin only allows science education students to offer just half of science courses? That simply means those guys will only stop at attending lectures at the end of 200L in science Dept's, and u claim common sense is free? How on earth will a university issue a B.Sc. Ed. Cert to someone who is not well groomed? Anyway, I will advise u go back to your university and seek help from your lecturers. I am sure they will offer free deliverance for you from your ignorance. I am telling u what I studied and what is obtainable with it but u are here arguing blindly just because u're too proud to learn. Maybe when u go for ur second degree and u see people in ur class who are graduates of science education, the scales on ur eyes will fall then.
