I pay close attention to debates on this thread and when most people move on from it because na Agenda, I keep a record. If you all remember, this was a serious issue and narrative used against Igbos during the last election cycle, especially in Lagos.

I really did say a prayer for Akintayo's business this morning. I hope more non-indigenes come out and debunk such divisive and dangerous narrative.

I know my people are hospitable, I don't need anyone to tell me otherwise. You can argue the SE is not as economically viable as Lagos (Lagos only) but to say we don't welcome non-indigent investors is a wrong and a dangerous narrative.

Of course I do. Might not be much but it will. The refinery is also not just producing fuel, there are alot of products that the refinery will produce.

Buying fuel locally in Naira means we gets to save scarce fx that marketers would've use to import the product.

The reasonable thing to do would've been to go after the subsidy thieves, block loopholes being exploited by uncrupulous elements, purge out the bad eggs in NNPC, etc. Removing subsidy should've been the last resort after everything has been fixed.

I posted what Tinubu wrote in 2012 about subsidy removal and conditions that must be in place before subsidy removal can be considered. The same Tinubu became president, saw that none of those conditions are in place, goes ahead to remove subsidy and people are defending the fallout of the decision ....smh

We can criticize/critique policies but we shouldn't hope for failures so we can proudly type; I told you so.

If the Refineries work as projected, I believe its for the good of every Nigerian not just the Government.

For now, I choose to believe the projected date is sacrosanct.

NNPCL is working hard to fix our own Refineries and Production will begin at PH Refinery this year, guess what? It has capacity to produce 210,000 barrels per day.

By first quarter of next year, Kaduna Refinery is expected to join the stream. I keep hopes alive and renewed in a better, progressive Nigeria.
