OasisX: ...its 80% privately owned. They can decide whatever they like with their investment. Most important News is; FG is also working hard to fix the Refineries and some may start production before end of this year too.
Lmao this was not how you sounded ooo. Now it's they that can determine so anytime they resume.. They resume. But we supplied the FX and we have a 20% stake in the company and we are to supply 300k barrels of crude oil.
Lmao e be like say you think say 20% na small stake🤣
larride: Oh sorry I’m disagreeing with you. That we are no longer importing refined fuel means that no more landing cost charges which in most times determine the price of fuel.
It means we can now also remove fuel subsidy since there will be nothing to subsidies anymore.
NNPC will also be the “sole supplier” of crude to the refinery.
The price of diesel, kerosene and Jet A1 will be impacted positively also.
The cost of fertilizers also will be impacted positively.
The multiplier effect of the refinery is huge and hopefully it operate in full capacity with no sabotage.
Do you still believe that if the refinery (whenever it starts working) starts, it will reduce the price of fuel? 😁
August no far again, but i am sensing we may experience some form of scarcity before then; especially when there would be a transition from imported fuel to that of Dangote[/color]
I don't like Caucasian shepherds . I prefer this tall Hausa breed. I have one. They don't fall ill and they are extremely intelligent and protective. The cheapest best option for security.
Lmao.. He's not even close to being done yet with growing. And to think we got him for 180k ish.
Why don't you like Caucasian shepherds?
Tall hausa breed? Make e nor be say you keep hyena for house oo🤣
patrickmuf: You post bad news here and another post news that offers a glimmer of hope but you want to tag him as a Government propagandist...Lol...
I keep asking, what will Obi have done better? Would he have borrowed money to continue the subsidy regime?
Would he have magically gotten the refineries to get working to their capacity?
Whether we like it or not, we were always going to get to this phase.
We want change and we are looking at the President alone...Keep electing rogues as HoA members, HoR, Senate members and Governors and expect the President to get everything in place.
It is 3 months into the new administration and all I see here is Tinubu this, Tinubu that yet Governors are receiving monthly allocations o! You guys care less about holding your Governors and elected representatives accountable. Who do una abeg?
What you are doing now has been done by better people before you. Better ask for material to know how you'll do it well well🤲
When I was arguing the bolded , u were busy believing the propaganda that fuel subsidy needs to go and Nigeria will be better .
I argued asking what government has done to deal with those stealing through subsidy , what has government done preventing smuggling of subsidized crude to neighboring countries and what has government done to prosecute those subsidy thieves we’ve always heard about ?
For the umpteenth time, that fuel subsidy is the only social welfare all Nigerians whether poor , extremely poor, averagely poor , middle class and upper class enjoy. The moment u take it away cos the government can’t deal with a handful of unscrupulous elements gaming the system, u are definitely suffocating those already in the lowest of low .
Some of us shouting about this thing are doing not even because of ourselves but those who don’t have anywhere or anyhow to adjust . Like me now , I’ve been privileged to receive hardship allowances to cushion the effect of the whole subsidy wahala …..but how many people have that privilege in current Nigeria where disposable income keeps reducing by the day ?
Guy.. I got sold a fucking dream. Na recently I dey see story plus the amount we pay for subsidy doesn't make one absolute sense nai I realise say subsidy payment nor be issue sef. Na the stealing inside subsidy nai be problem. Omo. Even that 50% removal of subsidy by Obi, I for fight am sef. That's how much of a 360 I've done.
It might actually turn out that the real cost of subsidy is way lower than what we've been paying because this country na "the more you look, the less you see"

Larride remember that L I told you will go round. When.. Na my turn be this.
OasisX: Ok.... I agree we should change the current Leadership. So what next?!
Change it first oga. Everybody else has a plan that they would have executed. At this point I've come to realise that paying subsidy on petrol would have done nothing to this country if we just had plugged 70% of our leakages (na stealing dey make the money wey we dey pay for subsidy be like say na wetin dey hold this country back)
If we had institutions actually carryout and also had consequence dished out for crimes. We've all agreed the president is the most powerful man in Nigeria due to what he controls. A president without skeleton in his cupboard or debt to any politician will have no reason to reward or overlook the excesses of these people.
Let me ask you, do you see someone like El Rufai making it into the ministerial list of Obi? Or someone like Matawalle? Or do you imagine seeing someone like asari roaming Abuja with his boys? Or would you imagine having the Navy burn ships or not be answerable at all for their crimes?
Proper leadership will set the tone for this country.
OasisX: ....and what do you think can be done differently to fix the Country?!
First is changing our current leadership because it is obviously not people centered on anyway whatsoever. Until that is done then nothing can be done at all. We've spent how many days complaining about the lack of respect to Nigerians.
Have you read what NLC PRESIDENT said Tinubu told him about cutting down his cost of living? If you don't find it hilariously disheartening that we can be taken for idiats then nothing else.
OasisX: ....its no crime to believe Nigeria can be fixed right? We are going through rough patch now, but light is waiting at Tunnel's end - that is my belief!
I want to give this Administration time to prove they can actually make a difference, big difference to be candid. A year won't be too bad for me to wait , hope and see how the policies will pan out.
Lmao.. Who said Nigeria cannot be saved? The fact you can afford to wait a year is where you keep proving you have lost touch with the Nigerian reality like almost everyone has said.
Atleast like I keep saying, the people in your life living in Nigeria will atleast be giving you small gist.
OasisX: ...can you dig out posts I made to supporting Buhari Administration between 2015 to 2023?
Don't forget to post my criticism of his policies as well. On record, I supported Atiku/Obi Ticket in 2019 unlike DonJ.
Lmao.. Read what I wrote again. It's pretty much clear.
Oya let me help you. This same msg you are sending is the same msg apc and pro government people were sending in the last 8yrs. Some have retired and you have taken over😁
.....you're accusing me of propaganda and spreading lies and this is you doing same in the post.
When was last time I posted updates on United thread like I used to do? Am I even that active on the thread again? LOL!
You see what I mean. In everything he typed, you have zeroed in on a small part while overlooking the main msg.
Let me give you heads up sha incase you've not noticed. Between when this section started till now, your perceived online value has so much eroded. Not like it matters to anyone but for someone like you that usually seeks for support before you can mostly stand on your own opinions.. It might be important for you to know. Question is why? 😁
OasisX: ....to fix Nigeria ain't gonna be easy. We can't expect it to be magically fixed, we have got to go through reforms which the incumbent government is doing.
If after a year, no positive effect, then we can begin to criticize the policies fairly and even protest against them.
I understand people are going through difficulties at the moment, but I hope it won't be in vain. We seek a new Nigeria regardless of party affliations, and you and I know it ain't gonna be achieved cheaply.
Lmao.. From 2015-2023. What is the difference between this msg you typed now and what was typed then?
Roland17: The comment made by the Senate President is shameful to say the least. I mean, the effrontery to make such statement during a public and recorded session tells you all that you need to know.
He is pretty much telling Nigerians, you can't do anything.
He actually did not know they were still broadcasting until someone told him
I mean it's not like we don't know. But hearing the senate do these things is still painful sha
The Senate President didn’t realize he was on live tv when he announced the sharing of money to senators. He made it worse by withdrawing the statement and tried to fool the watching public. Since our Mumu never do. pic.twitter.com/rV8pfjsHUT
BlueRayDick: Reuben quoted section 5 of the 1999 constitution subsection 5 which states:
That means Tinubu can claim Nigeria's national security is under threat and still deploy our troops ; then sought ratification of the legislature within 14 days later.
Lmao who go help am ratify am? The same senate e flout?
So basically he can deploy to the Nigerian/Niger border or just beyond it because the issue is what will be acceptable "limited combat duty"
Every single 1 of you guilty of this same shit. Someone is complaining about a serious issue, next thing na to pick one word inside wey you think say dey incorrect meanwhile you know what the person is trying to refer to 😁
Good economic policy and Nigeria border closure in the same sentence shows how shallow your knowledgeable on the matter is.
Always resist the urge to give takes on topic you have little knowledge on.
It’s better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Are you okay? Doesn't that tell you that our implementation is always a problem. Why is it that when you guys want to defend rubbish, your ability to use your sense suddenly goes out the window.
It's that time you want every single thing to be absolutely spot on and of which you'll still rather die than admit there is a problem.
So the border closure now and everything that went with it as an example is suddenly so different from this? If I call you dumb it will be like I am insulting you and yet you are showing that you cannot at the very least use your sense when it comes to defending politicians.
BlueRayDick: Omo! The man sounded like even if Tinubu goes ahead without the approval of parliament , the north will sabotage any military operation in Niger .
But tinubu sef cannot override the senate. Surely he's not that stupid. Also I wonder how many of those northern politicians are of Niger origins
Does living a fake life on borrowed money sound like positivity to you?
A bad economic policies was stopped and I’m happy for it.
All sensible economists, both global and domestic agree with me.
A bad economic policy was stopped and what was done to ensure that we plug the gaps to take advantage of that stop.
This is almost like buhari closing border to boost local production and yet fvcking it up through implementation. As usual it is easy to "stop" oya show workings and yet nothing till now.
Do you know how many people have further gotten poorer in just 2 months?
I saw a post where you said something like where does FX rank in issues we can face in a country like Nigeria and I realize you are just a gum body economist 😁.
Yunno the sweetest part, e sure me die say as you dey like this.. You dey see shege, your family members dey see shege and people around you dey see shege one way or the other🤭.
