Roland17: Baba, your friend just described my life right now. I am not on SM or WhatsApp, so access to me is very much controlled but even at that, make I no even go there.....
My brother, the kain call wen I receive on Sunday from a known friend in Nigeria nearly brought me to tears. I sabi this guy wella, the guy no lazy, guy na real hustler, baba dey chook head into everything legit, works in the formal sector but according to him, the last year is driving my guy to the edges of life or death. He wasn't asking for money, he was just venting his reality, baba, I just weak!
I am always careful with my utterances when it comes to the reality of others, especially people who are not around my surrounding because most men I know in Nigeria are not lazy. Infact, close associates will tell you, I don't tolerate laziness in men. I can tolerate laziness in women but you see grown man? If I sense laziness in a man, I dey block, delete and cutout. However, things are set up against them and changes to economic factors that determine income change every day with little time to adjust/ adapt. But when people complain, you'll be told "others dey see money for the same Nigeria" 😂😂😂 |

Meanwhile same nnpc blamed logistics for fuel scarcity just 18th of last month
The current petrol scarcity, the third in 2024, began early July with NNPC attributing it to logistics challenges faced in the transfer of the product from mother vessel to daughter vessels.
The company had said: “The NNPC Ltd wishes to state that the fuel queues seen in the FCT and some parts of the country, were as a result of disruption of ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, between Mother Vessels and Daughter Vessels resulting from recent thunderstorm.
“The adverse weather condition has also affected berthing at jetties, truck load-outs and transportation of products to filling stations, causing a disruption in station supply logistics.
“The NNPC Ltd also states that due to flammability of petroleum products and in compliance with the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) regulations, it was impossible to load petrol during rainstorms and lightning”.
But with the shortage not showing any sign of improvement, the national oil company in a two paragraph statement on Sunday said it regretted the situation.
NNPC Limited Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr Olufemi Soneye said: “The NNPC Ltd regrets the tightness in fuel supply witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT, which is as a result of distribution challenges.
“The Company further urges motorists to shun panic buying as it is working round the clock with relevant stakeholders to restore normalcy”.

Omo how can the experience of being a Nigerian be associated with ever increasing suffering. This is not going away anytime soon. So after lying they were not in debt, nnpc now claims they are in debt and it's affecting them.

So a club will come in January and offer Osimhen his current salary for his signature? [/color] Lmao. Everything is a risk. Victor is young. All he has to do is continue training. A bit of match rustiness will be cleared after a few football matches. His goal scoring ability isn't going anywhere. He's not the first to be relegated and still get what he wants. It happened to mbappe and he was denied preseason football which affected him. Baba still moved to the team of his dreams. Victor nor be small boy for football. Lmaoooo see madness The Vice Chairman of the FCCPC, Tunji Bello revealed that a fruit blender called Ninja was displayed on the shelf of a supermarket in Texas United States at $89 (roughly N140,000), and the same product was displayed in a popular supermarket at Victoria Island in Lagos State for N944,999.
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has revealed that a well-known supermarket in Nigeria is artificially raising the prices of its imported goods by an astounding 500 percent.
The Vice Chairman of the FCCPC, Tunji Bello, shared this information on Thursday during a stakeholders' meeting focused on exploitative pricing, which took place in Abuja.
He said, “We have observed, for instance, that the margin in the prices of imported goods is very disproportionate in many cases; and in the case of locally produced goods, excessively inflated.
“This is an untenable situation, particularly in the retail segment, where we have identified patterns of price fixing perpetrated by some market associations, price gouging, and other anti-consumer practices.
“For instance, our check just two days ago at a popular supermarket chain in Texas, United States, revealed that a fruit blender called Ninja is displayed on the shelf at $89 (roughly N140,000). Just two days ago.
“Meanwhile, the same product was displayed at a popular supermarket on Victoria Island in Lagos for N944,999 on the same day and at the same hour. This represents more than 500 percent inflation of the cost,”
“Interestingly, when our undercover officer visited the same supermarket two weeks earlier, this same blender was on display with the price tag of N750,000. The question then arises: what is the basis for this arbitrary hike in the price of the blender compared to the United States? What business principle can justify this level of profiteering?
“Perhaps, I should cite a few more of the unpleasant discoveries we made during our investigation. In some notable supermarkets surveyed discreetly in Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt and Lagos, we also found that prices were arbitrarily jacked up from time to time without any justifiable reason.
“In one particular big supermarket in Abuja, for instance, consumers were being charged N2,600 for an imported toilet soap at the payment point as the price tag was not displayed as earlier mandated by FCCPC. The same toilet soap was displayed for sale at N1,950 at a popular supermarket in Lekki, Lagos the same day. That already constitutes a double offense.” |
