It is. No protest will remove a democratic elected President or Governor in Nigeria.
No peaceful protest will do that.
I don't want him to be removed.
The take back Nigeria group has said they want subsidy to return to what it used to be.
Will a protest make that possible?

.....My problem with you is; you can tire person with same question eh! Do I need to spell it out in the language or dialect you understand that Protest ain't a crime?!

As far as its peaceful, no qualms. Largely peaceful in SW and PH today for instance, so what's not clear to you again.
But you have been sharing posts to mock the protest since nau.
Abi that was a different person?

.......and what happened in 2015?! Occupy Nigeria was largely a peaceful protest in my book though.
You Don invent new meaning of "largely peaceful"

Why did he hold an anti government protest?
Why did he not wait till 2015 to show that he wasn't happy.

Also I expect you to commend Obi seeing as he didn't call for protest and followed the rules and is waiting for 2027. Unlike the current man you support😁

......I have answered you but you no gree. I said wait till 2027 and don't vote for him yet you ain't satisfied.

You want destructions of lives and properties to gain Government attention, I prefer Ghandi Approach - Peace and Perseverance.
So why did tinubu not wait till 2015 to show his anger instead of carrying out a protest that wasn't peaceful in 2012.
1yr after Jonathan started his first term as president.

......answer my question nah, shey na Carnival dey happen in SW, especially in Lagos today?!
This man.. The conversation is this?
What is an effective way for people to show they are not happy and pressure government.
You have been against these protests because it is not peaceful.
I highlighted the fact that anti-government protests are never peaceful.
You said occupy Nigeria was peaceful.
I showed you different links to show it was not a peaceful protest.

Now you are asking me about Lagos protest again?

The original question is this, how do people express their anger while not carrying out anti-government protests.

What do you suggest?

Whether the people call the communication lamba or not is irrelevant, it's the government responsibility to fully communicate their intentions and policy to the people.

When Tinubu removed fuel subsidy and unified exchange rate, was the policy not clearly communicated? Let them keep the same energy on actions and policy they are doing to alleviate the suffering of the people.
I'm not arguing against effective communication.
But what makes it effective is the actions that proceed it.
If you are communicating and still increasing the suffering of people, the people stop caring about your communication.

Infact people (Nigerians) won't care about communication if life was good. That's the koko

Na English I use type bro, no be mandarin.

People have a right to protest and they should if they are dissatisfied with the government.

It doesn't change the fact that the best form of protest is through the ballot.
but history has shown that federal governments respond even faster to anti-government protests than the prospect of losing an election.

I guess no protest in Lagos today?! There were protests in Ibadan, Abeokut, Akure, Osogbo and Ekiti as well, hence no destruction of properties.

I have not seen any destruction in PH or Asaba or Warri as well. Only looting of Palliatives in Edo and I have no qualms with it.
Wetin yiu dey talk?
You gave example of occupy Nigeria as a peaceful protest.
There are numerous links to show that people died.
Properties were destroyed.
Or do you want to forgo the evidence of your eyes for the love you have for Tinubu?

There is anger and hunger in the land and the government that should communicate clearly what they are doing to stop the suffering of the people are either gaslighting them or dragging their feet.

The government need to sort out its comms team, 90% of them should be fired immediately. Even the little the government is doing, nobody is explaining them.

Ajuri has been nothing short of a disappointment. Dele Alake should be brought back to the ministry of information and Tolu reappointed as the President spokesperson.
What does communication do when the actions are still leading to suffering?
At what point do you think people will start calling the communication lamba?

The government can demonize protest as much as they like, it doesn't stop it from being a legit form of expressing the citizens disaffection.

As per your last question, the best form of protest in a democracy is through the ballot.
So you suggest people bear this for another 4yrs without any protest in between 😁 or with protests?

No protest even end peacefully. There are some people just waiting for a little disobedience across board to start carrying out their own agenda.

That's why instead of the police warning people not to protest so it wont be hijacked, they should be making sure that the protest is carried out in a controlled manner where they can nip any violence in the mud immediately.
I agree.
So then what is the alternative seeing as anti-government protests are demonised.

What do you suggest is done that will also have the same effect and send the required message to a Federal Government that doesn't care.

......let me first correct you, I never comdemn Protest rather suing for peaceful protest. The records are there on this board, Oasis no dey delete past posts - Ọlọhun má mú mi, torí tani àti tani níwájú tani. LOL!

Protest is our fundamental right but destruction of properties is not, and I have said it many times here. Few folks have answered your question but let me help you out with it one more time.

2027 is less down 3yrs, vote him out. Whether you protest from now till tomorrow, PBAT ain't ready to backdown. Kindly watch yesterday World Press Conference by his Cabinet Members. He believes he is on the right track to fix Nigeria, he acknowledges the hardship and promises prosperity is close.

If PBAT eventually fails, God forbids, I will humbly campaign aggressively against his re-election. He has this term to fix Nigeria and I still have confidence he can do it.
Lmaooo mention the last time you saw a major anti-government protest that was peaceful in apc regime.
We can go back to PDP too.

Now what can we do as anti-government protests are violent?
What are the alternatives?

Anyways let me ask you, since protests are bad like you have been showing us.

How should people voice their concerns that the government will feel the effect and act fast?

What do you suggest?
Consider that food inflation is currently approaching 50%.
Fuel is sold for an average price of 800.
Farmine in the northern part of the country and the rise in insecurity.

What do you suggest?

As police Don arrest these hoodlums, let us hope the protest by the peaceful people isn't disturbed again.

I mean the people that protested against protest a few days ago didn't have hoodlums attack them.
Police should keep doing a good job

Your wife's family has ties to their extended family in Nigeria bro.
You married an Igbo woman and we are well aware of how close they are with extended family.

Or are you saying your wife is only igbo woman not in touch with her own family?

Nope.
You cannot say this.

How do we believe you without evidence?

You've made it clear she is abroad, she has family abroad.
Its even easier for her or her family to fund the Igbos you don't like afterall exchange rate favours this logic.
For example, Simon Ekpa is running things from far away Finland. So your wife and her family will definitely have ties to people back home.

So how do ronu people trust that you are not a double agent to feed the bad Igbos information.
You could have been turned against your people for all we know bro.

Simon Ekpa is in Finland.
So I'm surprised you think your own igbo is different from the igbo you don't trust.
Igbos are very communal so I am wondering how yours is different bro?
