Someone already in Canada advised I package my CV. According to him, to compete favourably, your CV must be top notch, it should be of international relevance.
I recently contacted resume clinic services to help with the CV packaging. Am yet to get a reply to know if their charges are fair.
If you're like me who is not good at packaging CV. I advise you contact a professional.
Let's get this going.
Cheer Canada hopefuls

First, ask your sister what's her main reason from asking you not to apply (apart from the vo won't grant you TRV).
Now to the matter at hand, you can get your TRV if you package your app very well.
Since you said you earn around 600k/month it will be better if you say you and your brother will do the sponsoring together (one acting as sponsor and the other as co-sponsor).
Make sure you apply for a master's that is related to your current job experience or your Bsc (that's if they aren't related).
About convincing the vo, you can simply say since you lost your husband(God bless his soul) you feel going back to school will help you get more busy and help you get over him a little bit. That ever since he left you haven't been the same and now you just want to go back to school to help get your mind off. You can apply alone first while you use your children and company as home-ties but if you think you have enough fund to cover for yourself and your children then you can apply with them(but it means you will have to explain how and who will take care of them while you are in school)....
NB: Talk your sister again and ask her to give you other reasons why she doesn't want you to apply (apart from your age).
Come back here when you have discussed with her.
Good luck

Thank you so much. I know there's no heaven on Earth. I can't put everything about me on public space. I want to children to have access to quality health care because of their family health history, secondly I want them to be where they can have the opportunity to excel based on merit not on who you know. For me I need to be happy and be me, not minding people's expectations of me. Loosing a spouse raises lots of eye brow.
Pls no hard feelings everyone. Thank you for your thoughts. But I want to leave Nigeria pls I need your help.

Hi,
Am 43yrs old and was widowed a year plus ago. I just need a new place to retry life smiley. I intend to apply for a masters program. I have a brother who is willing to and financially capable of sponsoring me plus my name appear as a director in his company. I have 4 daughters. I earn about 500k monthly from my bro company and get a 100k support monthly from him personally. My elder sister in Ontario keeps discouraging me that since my Bsc is since 2000 and because of my age I may not be considered. Pls seniors kindly advise, I would like to have other opinions on my success chances.

10 proposed Liberal reforms to Canada immigration system

Double the number of immigration applications allowed for parents and grand-parents sponsorship from 5,000 to 10,000 visas per year.

Double the budget for processing family class immigration applications to reduce wait times

Increase points allocation to applicants who have siblings in Canada on their Express Entry application

Lift the visa requirement for Mexican travel to Canada.

Eliminate the $1000 Labour Market Impact Assessment fee for families seeking caregivers to care for family members with physical or mental disabilities.

Restoring free access to healthcare for refugee/asylum seekers pending a decision on their case by the government.

They have pledged to make it easier for international students to achieve Canadian Citizenship. The exact details are not specified, but they have stated they will do this by making adjustments to the Canadian Experience Class program that will ‘remove barriers’ to international students.

Restore the Canadian Citizenship residency time credit for international students in Canada.

Bypass the two year wait period for “conditional permanent residence” for spouses of sponsored individuals.
Restore the maximum age for dependents from 19 to 22, making it easier for immigrants to bring their older children to Canada.

Hi Good People, please I need help so I don't loose my mind : registered on WES last week friday and after their fee of $322 was deducted from my account they are yet to send me a ref number at least to enable me send my certificates over. sent them an email yesterday and all I got was an auto response.
Somebody please advise me on what to do next !!!
Many Thanks

You don't need the ref no to send your credentials. Just print out the forms submit it to your school. Your sch will send your transcript while you send your certificate. They will then send you a mail with your ref no when they receive the credentials. Another ref no will be sent to your sch when the credentials are sent to your sch for verification. After verification they will send you their evaluation result with the ref no you will use for your profile on the EE pool.
