To the people in the house...we are all going into a deep ocean of success...things you ahev not heard before on this type of business are going to be told...so please peeps i dont mean to be rude, i wont be able to drop my phone number here, but am putting up a free article that covers all you need and as time goes on, we get to understand more about the business..but ,meanwhile, if there is anything you want to know we can always discuss it here so everyone can benefit from it. tnx to everyone..questions and critics are welcome |
its okay...if thats the way you see it..." its a wrong opinion".. thats why its called a forum, we argue, critisize, settle, learn and all sorts...no hard feelings..cheers nairamaniac: bros. Apology accepted. But permit my criticism of ur apology. Saying its "a personal opinion" aint cool. What u need to do is replace the "personal" with wrong". U should say "its a wrong opinion". Nothing can be out of order if its a personal opinion. For we are all entitled to our point of views. All the same. Apology accepted. |
my brother...we have an agency that certifies those types of items...we call them the plant quarantine certification agency...they certify raw agro products, they certify product per transactions....their office is adjacent to Nahco warehouse ikeja, lagos. But there is one secret about those leafy items..., you dont buy from the market, you buy directly from the farmer because the market women would have washed them before displaying them for sale and by so doing they will shrink up before getting to the buyer so you are to buy directly and package it like that... so it can retain its physical quality when it gets to the buyer. please i stand not to be quoted bro.. i only used hat price range as an example, i hope you understand me..this and more are things you get to read in the coming article...thanks . questions are critics are welcome Kamkamdd: Really?Assuming i want 2 export lets say bitter leave or ogbono 4 eg,wat & wat are expected of me 2 do with d price range u said? |
my brother, please i will like to say a very BIG SORRY if you are offended in any way..if you carefully read what i wrote i dont mean to disrespect or make you furious in any way.. please all i said was just a personal opinion about it...after all you initiated this forum and you remain a leader here, so please am not a rude person, infact if you see me in person am a very calm person so please all i said was just a personal feeling about it.. AM SORRY SIR, dont be crossed with me... dont let this make you forget the your reason of initiating this forum.so many people have benefitted from you and people are still going to be benefitting also and i dont want to stand as an agent of devil that will stop you from making people great... please am a devoted muslim and the set of people i fear and respect most are people have not seen but get to exchange talks with..cos you dont even know who is who. i really appologise again robonski..and hope my appology is accepted. @ nairamaniac...i sense you are also affected by the message..am as well sorry...its all a personal opinion... you guys should understand me...no vex. robonski15: I have never been infuriated by any comment on this thread like this one.. I Spoke about my experience when I started the business of how dis market women are extorting some fish farmers till date and u are telling me "all na wash" I will take it as an insult.. If u run your farm on a 2 and half plot of land who bloody cares.. |
@kamkamdd....even with 60-70k u can do somtin...so it depends on how much you have and what you are exporting.. |
Its okay TOKUGAWA: @linzu,please feel free to drop any info here on this forum without any inflamatory words to the members and moderator. As you know this is the only serious forum for fish farmers here in Nigeria, active and regularly updated. Nobody is an island of knowledge. So,that's what makes us unique on here, share your experiences and knowledge with d house, though we are starting to know the fake fish farmers. Hope to read from you too. |
Please bro...if you go thru my write I dnt mean to disrepect okay...jst talking from experience of what have actually gone thru before meeting myslf where I am today...so dnt be crossed wt me at all...we are all going thru the train of success you have initiated.. robonski15: first off, NOBODY is a pro in fish farming, we try to learn and add to the existing knowledge we hv already inculcated.. Talking about my sincerity, how sincere do u want me or other gurus in the house to be.. I don't know what u mean and what are the factors u are talking abt me to put in place.. |
Livestovit is a multivitamin that reduces stress and increase rate of feeding in them, moreso ur descretion is to be used when applying it...yo take up clean water ina a bowl and add it then mix it properly before pouring it in the pond cachiskky: but how would one get the correct measurement to put in to the pond. i use earthen pond. putting it into the feed that goes directly into their mouth, shouldnt it be better? |
Royal Latris agro allied farms Atuko village, igbesa, agbara TOKUGAWA: @Lizu,what's d name of your farm? |
@ eugeneric...your question is very well understood, there are two things I will say to this...first thing is I actually dnt know when you switched ur feed...but this is how it goes when ever you are changing to a new feed, you delay the time of feeding so they can exhaust what they have in them by so doing they will be hungry, but don't take it for too long so they won't canibalise...the scope of delaying their feed is for them to be able to consume what ever feed that is introduce to them. To know if they are taking the feed, that goes with the mode of feeding I talked about...you don't pour but drop feeds bit by bit...this applies to both floating and local..this is done to ascertain if the feed is not wasting because they fish will always come to the top to pick the feed so if they dnt then you can stop and fix what ever the problem is...I hope this will help you |
@sleekiii...tnx for the words of encouragement we are in for success together by God's grace..just please be on the look out and feel free to ask questions. |
na waoo...i think people like you should be on earth...no be to err is human we dey hear..aba..una say peron do bad he don come appologise, una still wan kill am again...e be like say bomb dey ur head this miss perfect bigtt76: This is totally ridiculous with every semblance to the colonial days when the slave masters keep slaves for pleasure. Point is did he need to insult the poor woman and only retract steps later after being bashed nationwide on social networks? We should not applaud this and the woman should be advised to return such money cos it makes mockery of the woman's status as well as those of millions nationwide suffering under the sun becos of these thieves we call politicians #nonsense |
There is something very important i will want us to discuss here in the house.....its called FEED and MODE OF FEEDING...have actually been using this method for over a year now...its helps me reduce my spendings on the aspect of feed and i get good result withing a short period of time.. you see when we talk about fish business...there are over 30 business chains in this line...some people are into fingerlings production, grow out, juveniles production, feed , smoked fish production, mealange, fish drugs, fish equipments e.t.c...But what am here to discuss is about feed.. firstly, i will like to ask this question...do you know you can introduce a local feed immediately after 0.8mm feed.....the answer is YES.. this is what have done from time and i have seen good result...you see buying these foreign feeds at times could be very disastrous..what i mean is that, the people selling the feed are only doing their own business..either coppens, ziegler e.t.c.. following this few points of mine.. 1.the producer of the feed has sold his product not even knowing the condition of the fish that is going to consume it, either the fish is in good health or not so as to amend the nutritional to the one that best fits the condition of the fish. 2. we dont know how long the feed must have used on the sea before getting to nigeria, there is every possibility that some parts of the nutrients might have even expired over time. 3. we dont know as well how long the feed must have been with our own local seller..i.e where we bought the feed from, especially even we are happen to be the type that is so expiry date conscious..its a matter of just rebagging...we are all nigerians and we know what our people can do so if this forum is really ready to help people we need to speak out the truth. and lots more..., so tell me with just these few points, how do you expect to get a good result at the end of the day.. so what i do is that i have come up with formulas that are very rich with the help of my course of study and i was lucky to have serve in nafdac during my youth corps days and i get all my stuffs locally myself and get everything blended together into the sizes i want and they work superb..infact i can assure you that you can achieve 800gms to 1kg withing a short period of 3months thats if you feed the fish properly as directed. look out for mode of feeding in my next report...thanks questions and critics are welcome |
i will advice you always ,mix your livestovit with the water in the pond....it works better that way. cachiskky: Thank God, they are drugs, d former is in sticky liquid form & d latter is powder, u mix in water & pour into your ponds, not all, to reduce cost, available nationwide in fish or agric stores, FCR means amount of feed that convert to flesh, this drugs increase efficiency of converting feed to weight. |
@dwizy and meemee....we are all moving on the train together...lets all break the monopoly of the market....its not meant for the millionaires and the billionaires alone....some poeple have started sending me messages and abusing me that am spoiling markets for them....but i know they are all toothless dogs...questions and critics are welcome |
the aspect of iya eleja unrinating around your pond and causing some problems that will have to force you to call them back to buy the fish....all na wash....i run my farm on a 2 and half acre of land in agbara, ogun state...and am doing fine...., i use a concrete pond as well, but you see our people, dont let us leave leprosy and be curing ringworm....this is nigeria, we have so many difficulty in this country and by so doing we can only work with all we have around us to survive...robonsky has tried but i expect people here to discuss the reason why the bizness is not working and what can be done to make it work...we have different issues that are very important to talk about and carry the intending farmers along so that they will not end up loosing their money too...things like 1. the pond...aw its bn built, the deepness and its advantages 2.water....its management and its advantages 3.feed...types of feed 4.mode of feeding 5.duration of time...speculated time for the whole rearing that wont surpass the planned money to be used 6.market...when to market and how e.t.c... for anyone coming into this bizness, there are more to learn than just reading....you need practical seeing as well, as you start up your farm, new things comes your way...cause you get to meet new challenges, then you meet experts for advice and guidlines. i wish everyone here the best of luck in all our endeavours...lets feel free to ask questions here...its called a forum |
My brother, av been following your write up from the beginning and due to what have read...its obvious you know about the bizness, am a fish farmer as well, and have been in this biznes for over three years now....and am doing very fine am not here to antagonise you but i will jst want you to be as sincere as you claim to be, if you know what i mean...so many people have lost their hard earned money due to different lies by people that dont know anything about this bizness and by so doing they can not even rise again...so please am a pro in this line and i will want you to always put in some factors when talking about the bizness....republic of benin is different from nigeria...and that brings about so many difference in the management... |
@kamkamdd..thanks bro for the complements...sure there are rules for the packaging of the items, that goes with the specification given or let me say agreed btween you and the buyer..hope you understand....questions and critics are welcome |
@ seaman...getting a buyer to me its something that should not even be worrysome...like i said earlier in one of my response, there are several ways i listed for getting buyers, like talking with your bank account officer, going thru a liscensed forwarding agents, from export desk of any shipping company, e.t.c and as for the payment, its not some thing that is hard also..but i have to do that in a very comprehensive way to our people because i would not any flaws...so please just stay tunned boss, i am going to be unleashing a free article on all these important points..... and everyone will see that doing the business is very easy...questions and critics are welcome |
@ignatism...you r welcome on board...its time for us to break up the code of success in export biznes..I see no reason why things should not be told my brother..jst keep d spirit on. Questions and critics are welcom |
@karlxavier...its good to know that people are ready to come out of their shells n get serious with their little bucks..nyways I am assuring you again that export biznes is a serious n very lucrative one, please keep followin and keep asking questions, free articles will be out soon so we can all participate fully and get all necesary infos we need..but pending that time we can always discuss here what ever you feel is disturbin..questions and critics are welcom |
@boss31..I only advise to people to use the air freight, it might not be up to that and more over I don't even know what you have packaged as your product, and have you made your product go through certification by the relevant agency?? |
@jummyontop...Registered company name.....it is very okay to have a registered company but you dont use it in all cases of export business..what is mean is that, you can only use it when your are doing a large quantity of export and you will have to use the sea medium to transport your items...in this case the need for an export liscence will be required and there is no how you can obtain that without having a registered company name. but in the case of air freight, you might not need it because you will have t hand over the items at a certain time to a trusted forwarding agent of your choice, so you use your personal name as the sender of the goods or company name, so it depends. a free sample of an offer letter will be published in my article later, so be on the alert for that after the buyer has given you his or her specifications..i.e how he wants it to be, ten you go and procure the goods as specified by the buyer ( you dont buy your stuffs before getting specifications), then after which you go the necessary agency for certification, the type of item you are sending will determine the agency you will go to for certification, if you are done with that, then you should be ready to send out your stuffs. there are no charges or what so ever to be paid on any item to anybody asides the one you will have to pay at the agency during the certification there are different ways of payment, this will be a serious topic on its own that has to be treated properly so dont make a mistake while doing the transaction...i hope this is understood....questions and critics are welcome |
@jummyontop..tnx for d complements, its seems u sound like ur really ready for d show...lols, but I will like to let you know that all the questions will be treated accordingly cos they r important, but I will want us to thread gently so we can all carry ourselves along, n moreso u knw nigerians watever I say here will be quoted by people that won't even take their time to digest things they have heard |
@kamakamdd..may be that y its called the centre of excellence..lols..nywaz am not campaigning on behalf of lagos state...but what I can say to that will just be a repeatition to what have said before..this is a business that requires sacrifies and lots of going out..if you are thinking of yourself not staying in lagos, am very sure some peoplethat lives in lagos and will have to go out of lagos to get their items so everyone has one or two sacrifies to make...the more dats how the offer price is being calculated....questions and critics are welcome |
@creamdreams...lols..am not trying to put anyone under suspence but trying to make everyone in this forum reading what am writting to comprehend it properly, dats y am not rushing things for now, but you have aksed..its very necessary and compulsory for everyone exporting through air freight to do certification from agency that is concern because there are different agencies for different items..will talk more on that later...but as for export liscense, its only needed when exporting through sea (I.e in large quantity in containers) and this is important because there are insentives from the government to exporters after sometime and to collect it d export liscense is one of the documents needed to claim it. Do you understnd all av said here. Questions and critics are welcome |
@cynhamscakes...I really appreciate your conntribution here..the point you have raised is very important but I don't want you to mix up something very crutial here, we as a farmer, what we are sellign is weight not size...we are not road side fisher hawkers which is another chain in this business...so many people have been mislead by this so called seminar for fish farm...in 2 - 3months you can be a millionaire, if I have my way I will want those people to be arrested and jailed...so aper the fishe selection its a vital criteria that cannot be overlooked and has to be treated as a whole topic...tnx for the contribution...questions and critics are welcome |
@kamkamd...tnx for d complements..the business is very lucrative no doubt but it involves steps as I have earlier written..there are two steps you are mixing up here...SPECIFICATION and CERTIFICATION...specification is done by the buyer while certification is done by the seller..which means if the buyer has told you his or her specification on how he or she wants the goods or pdts, then when you have gotten the items, then you go to the necessary/required institution or agent for certification, so you won't have to send what is not health worthy to your buyer oversea...do you understand... Nb...we have different agency for different types of certifications As for NEPC...this is nigerian export promotion council...you only obtain an export liscense here...and its not needed for all types of export..I will talk more on that as we drive on to our export business success. Questions and critics are welcome. |
Here we will discuss about the followings The pond, water and its management, stocking, feed and mode of feeding, sales (best time to scout for the buyers). Let's start with POND How deep is ur pond ![]() -advantages of moderately deep pond -disadvantage of shallow pond The discussion is open to all..questions and critics are allowed |
Morning people...there are some vital criterias we have to look into and discuss fully if you are willing to be a successful fish farmer... These are the normal things we get to see or facilities we have on our farmland..but we jst don't do things right with.. |
Baba_Eleko: GEJ facilitated the release of a militant while other innocent Nigerians languish in various foreign prison. Ffuucckk who ever says crime doesn't pay.its so unfortunate that all these are happening to a land that some patriots died for....GEJ is just doing things in an irrational way...let's all continue to pray to God for this country...God bless nigeria |
I talked about the pond yesterday..but I feel we should move up to water today... Water management...this is one criteria that can not be over looked..its very important and crucial, the water management is like have someone living in a house full of dirts, urine, defications and all, and the person is eating the best of food in the world..btw you and I, we know that the food cannot do any good to the person cos, the person will always be sick and unhealthy, by so doing the growth will be very abnormal..just an example, in the case of fish, the water habitat has to be clean always everytime...this has a lot to do with the growth of the livestocks..Free articles will be released later on this for people that wants to know what the business is all about. Questions nad critics are welcome |
