Dammiehar: It is very sad indeed. It was my Masters degree that saved me from those people. When I was trying to secure admission for that Masters years ago I saw hell, I kept bribing and bribing before they sent transcripts. My brother-in-law paid 50k for that transcript early this year, I think around February and after collecting the money, they told him he has outstanding courses that he has to sit for. Can you believe that? Someone that graduated years ago, has his certificate that was issued by OOU and went for NYSC. I still don't get it till now. Are you my sister-inlaw? cos this actually happened to me as well with OOU. i paid over 80k and they told me I failed one course oh. It took about 6 months to sort the mess they created. |

funshobabs: I get confused too. But I think it works in two different ways tho. First: when your CRS score is lower than 400 and you are in the pool you can get nominated by generous provinces I.e Ontario without even applying to them.
Secondly: while still in the pool, you can check out for when provinces open up for people to apply. Although you will pay application fee for example Saskatchewan province it is usually $250 CAD. Note in the first scenario you do not pay any application fee. The reason you may want to go through the second option is because no matter what you do, you might be unable to increase your CRS above 400 in this case, 40 years and above with the maximum point of 45 for age will definitely be needing a province nomination.
Mindful that when you get a PN, your CRS will get an addition of 600 points which when you accept you will then get an ITA under PNP route. All the same since eventually you will get your PR but PNP application fee is more this is why people prefers the normal ITA without having a PN.
I hope I have been able to convince you not to confuse lol. Pls read more on the thread.
Peace. You've actually mixed up the entire process. First off, while creating an EE profile, the applicant must select all provinces or any particular province that he/she might be interested in getting a nomination from. For Ontario, they would usually select candidates with CRS scores of 400 and above who are in the pool and have recently created their profiles. However, in the last week of June, they lowered their requirement and selected candidates (with particular NOCs in IT professions) that scored below 400. Ontario PNP fee is CAD 1,500. You may wish to research about other provinces that open up their Provincial Nomination streams from time to time where candidates can apply for nominations if meeting their requirements. Nomination fees may also apply. I hope this clarifies. Good luck. |

He also does live Q&A session. It was in response to a POF question. It became effective July 18, 2017. This update is not available on the IRCC website, so I wonder how an immigration lawyer can be quoted authoritatively. More investigation and inputs required. |

IAMCOMING: Thanks so much for your reply.
Please if you don't mind me asking do you mean saving plan as pension.....
Thanks again A savings plan is an investment in which an individual contributes money on on regular basis in order to reach a short or long term financial goal. The funds are usually invested by a fund manager in equities, commodities etc. It is quite different from a Pension Plan. Hope this clarifies. |

IAMCOMING: Hello, thank you for sharing your story. Please i will like to have more information on the following
1. please what did you show to support your proof of compensation - (pay stub, bank statement and all) i read in the application guide that for proof of compensation we have to provide these Pay stubs, pay cheques or pay statements, Bank statements showing salary deposits, Income tax documents, or Letter(s) from employer(s) explaining why this proof is not readily available. Note: It is recommended that you provide proof for the first and last month for each work experience. (the income tax document and the NOTE that is my concern)
2 did you have to maintain the settlement fund as your minimum balance for 6 months prior to your application?
3 How did you show your intent to reside in Ontario?
Please forgive my plenty questions . thanks for quick response Hi @IAMCOMING The proof of compensation requirement is designed to further reinforce claims that you were employed and were paid for your services... not that you just got somebody to write you a reference letter. You don't have to provide everything mentioned in the guide. Pay slips or Bank Statements showing salary credits to your account is enough. If you have income tax clearance certificates, you can include those as well. I approached my Bank to print out my first 3 months bank statement (which was in 2005 and my last three months( which was 2015) even though the account had been closed two years ago. They obliged me. Secondly my settlement fund was in the form of a savings plan that had been growing steadily for more than 4 years. I didn't have the cash in my bank but I still presented my Bank Statement. I got my fund manager to write me letter stating the current balance on my savings plan and the surrender value should I decide to liquidate into cash immediately. Finally, I did some research on the Province and wrote a short piece enumerating my the personal skills, qualification, work experience and my excellent English skills as demonstrated by good scores in IELTS. I ended by mentioning that I had an aunt who resides in Ontario who had promised to ensure a seamless integration into the society and culture for my family. Hope this helps. Good luck! |

Please do u have a Masters Degree? If yes,do you have ECA for only Masters or for both Masters and Bachelors? Will Ontario PNP accept ECA for only Masters? I don't have an Msc yet, so I can't really say. However, I think the ECA for you Msc should do just fine. |

Bimz89: @ljay17, congrats on your nomination. Please my crs is 411. Will you advise I go through the pnp route or wait n hope the draw comes down to 411? Like I stated earlier, if the CAD1,500 wouldnt be a problem, then by all means go for OINP. Lowest CRS cut off this year was 413. My CRS was 408, so I figured, it might probably be a long wait for cut off to get that low. Now, ITA should only be a few days away for me...God willing. Tough one. In the end, the decision is yours to make. |

Jesuba: Even if you didn't apply for it? Yes! Ontario sends NOI to applicants with fairly new EE profiles having crs points above 400, inviting them to apply for Provincial Nomination. Note that they charge a processing fee of CAD1,500. |

Pls can anyone suggest the easiest way of being nominated by a province. I have searched in vain. I am looking for all available means to get a high crs.
Thank you. What's your CRS score presently. If it's above 400, you should expect NOI from Ontario. |

Hi folks, In keeping with the celebratory mood of the forum, I'd like to share my own 'small' victory. I received my OINP Nomination earlier today. CRS updated to 1008 Primary NOC: 6235 IELTS: LSRW 9, 8.5, 8.5, 7 See timeline below: EE Created: 06.06.2017 NOI: 09.06.2017 OneKey Reg 13.06.2017 Profile Withdrawn by OINP 28.06.2017...after the 14 day deadline New Profile Created 02.07.2017 AOR: 03.07.2017 Assessment: 06.07.2017 DIP: 18.07.2017 Nomination: 19.07.17 ITA sitting back for the next draw My advise, if your CRS score is below 410 and you can afford the CAD1,500 OINP fee, by all means go for it!!! Secondly, make sure you submit all requested documents in one go. It makes decision making smooth and reduces processing time. Finally, as you may have noticed in my timeline, I registered the OneKey account and couldn't submit my application within the 14-day deadline, subsequently OINP withdrew that file. I simply created another file and then submitted with LOE stating that I was unable to submit due to incomplete docs. Wish everyone else waiting for the good news all the best. Open to answer any questions regarding OINP |

Thebaes: Good morning house. Please does anyone have any idea or knowledge about Ontario NOI? I have few days to accept (I read I have to accept in 45 days) I just want to know if its worth paying that large amount of money. Biko help a sister. My score is 405. Thank you Hello, you have 6 months to accept the nomination. However, once you register on the OINP site you must submit your application within 14 days and not 45 days. My advise, get all you documents together and submit you application asap. You may also consult the application guide on OINP for further guidance. Finally, OINP has a nomination quota of 6,000 for 2017 and they've used up about 3,000 as at 19th June. Good luck! |
