Sezbaby: Just to say a big thank you to everyone that contributed to this forum. My family (Husband, wife and child) started this journey in September 2016, and the forum was very instrumental to our success.
To everyone that has just started or is planning to start, please don't waste your money on consultants. Read, Read and again read. All the information you need is here. Join the various whats app groups and in no time, you'll be an expert.
Lastly, to encourage people, see our timeline below
IELTS: September 2016 IQAS: September 2016 EE Profile Created: November 2016, with Husband as Principal Applicant and CRS 418 ITA: April 9th 2017 (5 months After) Medicals: June 19th 2017 Application Submitted: July 9th 2017 Medicals Passed: July 21st, 2017
July to December 2017 : roughly 6 months (absolutely nothing happened. As in nothing. We just dey siddon look everyday)
January 4, 2018: ADR for POF (responded immediately) Changed to IP2 January 5, 2018: PPR (finally, just about 4 days to 6 months)
Passports delivered to Accra January 10th and approved, January 19th. Awaiting pick up letter.
Been a long journey, but worth the wait.
If you're with the London visa office, i recommend you lift up your eyes to the hills, and just wait upon the Lord or whatever your faith trusts in (lol). Spend the time reading up on what you need to do post PPR, cos trust me, there is a lot to do if you want to land and integrate easily with minimal disruption to your livelihood and standard of living. Its not about your qualifications or anything but just basic stuff that make things like finding a job easier.
Will update when the pick up letter arrives.
FAQS: 1. We changed our passports during the process, i.e. different passports for EE and PR application. Wifey even changed her name from maiden to married. We explained in LOE and no issues.
2. I changed NOCS between EE and PR application (after ITA). Again, no issues, just explain with LOE and you should be fine.
3. We paid all Application and COPR fees upfront as recommended. (not compulsory though)
4. We uploaded all IQAS and IELTS (did not want stories that touch)
5. POF was savings account
6. We have had visa rejections before, so no issues there
7. We used our childs US passport. Visa will not be issued on approval but child will get COPR
Will update if i think of any other thing
Thanks and peace out Congratulations!!! Out of curiosity, did you get ADR for Height and Eye Colour? |

RuggedArab: Thank you for your advise.
Can he claim more than 3years experience after completion of his M.Sc? Claiming 3 years work experience has absolutely nothing to do with his MSc completion. He can claim it now if he has indeed worked for 3 years. |

RuggedArab: Hello Pros/Experienced,
A brother has more than 3years working experience with 1st degree and is expecting his 2nd degree (M.Sc) latest June, 2018. He is looking forward to enter Express Entry coming year. Now he needs clarification and help.
Can he claim more than 3years with his 2nd degree next year when entering the pool? Because he wants to evaluate his M.Sc so as to boost his score.
NB: With his 1degree his crs score is not more than 430 and looking at the recent cut-off for ITA's. My advise is that your brother should write IELTS and then evaluate his BSc degree so he can enter the pool ASAP. Who knows, draws might fall below 430 before June 2018, especially with this new tie-breaker rule. If the scores don’t drop post completion of his MSc, he can thereafter evaluate his Masters degree and update his EE profile accordingly. Cheers |

Hello Everyone,
Good news! Good news!! Good news!!!
On 5th August 2017, someone assisted the newbies by summarizing the first part of this thread.
He read the whole thread, summarized it and posted FAQs to assist the Newbies.
He is one of the most helpful guys on this thread. He assisted many people even before he dived into the pool.
To cut the long story short, he submitted his application few weeks ago.
I'm very happy to announce that this helpful fellow received his Golden Mail today
Congratulations to the ever outstanding data analyst of this thread.
Congratulations, my dear friend.
I'm so happy for you
To all other PPR hopefuls, I wish you all speedy processing time and favour.
More of such good news on this thread.
#TeamDoitYourself
#Drops Mic Big congrats to ‘The Cochtranes’. Glitteringstar, no need to dive into the pool again, rather stroll to Ikoyi registry with your boo. Errrmmmm...one last job for you Prof Cochtrane, please research if one can add spouse after PPR but before COPR. Asking for some newlyweds!!! Lmao ***runs away**** |

1kingwriter: Good day. You made mention earlier that 6000 applications was earmarked for Ontario and about 3000 taken by June. Do you know if it's capped now? No idea bro/sis...but I highly doubt that their quota has been exhausted cos they recently reopened the Human Capital Priorities Stream on Nov 2. |

nikkycool: Hello @Ljay17,kindly give a breakdown on the process of this particular program as it seems faster than other PNP.Am really interested in it and have tried to read it up but wants to hear from the horses mouth.Thank you. Hello nikkycool, The requirements for OINP is quite similar to that of the FSWP apart from the mandatory Statement of Intent to reside in Ontario. You would need work reference letters, ECA, Settlement funds, Payslips, Bank statements etc. I would suggest you download the Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream application guide from their website to get the full details. Please ensure you select Ontario as one of the Provinces you’d like to immigrate to while creating your EE profile. You should get an NOI if your CRS is above 400. Although, they lowered their CRS Cut-Off to below 400 when they targeted some specific NOCs in IT sector a few months ago. All the best to you. |

cochtrane: Quoting long posts does nothing to increase the length of the thread. What increases the length of the thread is asking questions for which answers have already been suggested to death or are in Page 0-1. Just thought to put this out there, cos someone said the same thing sometime ago and it's actually not correct assumption. Okay Prof Cochtrane, thanks for clearing that. We live and we learn!!! |

My CRS was 408 before Nomination and 1008 Post Nomination. Other conditions to be met are similar to the FSW program requirements - POF, Work Experience reference letters, Statement of intent to reside in Ontario etc. Kindly check the application guide via the link below for the full information. http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/prodconsum/groups/csc/@oipp/documents/document/oi_en_hcps_010517.pdf |

Whew...finally caught up with thread. Big congrats to all the PPR and ITA recipients. The thread is moving quite fast I must admit. I noticed a lot people quoting long posts. This practice contributed greatly to the speed of the thread. I urge us to refrain from doing this. May I also add my voice to those of us requesting for a separate thread for PNP route. Many people with low CRS would benefit from such dedicated thread. Being a PNP candidate myself, I can attest to the fact that not much PNP info/experience sharing is available on this particular thread. For people considering the PNP route, ON is a very good option if you can afford the CAD 1,500. Got my nomination within 16 days of submitting my application to their Human Capital Priorities Stream. In conclusion however, I urge every person embarking on this life changing journey to be ready to put in the work! Don’t expect anyone to spoon feed you with information that you can learn by doing your own thorough research (not limited to Nairaland). May God bless everyone taking out time to answer questions and helping people out on this thread. Journey so far: PNP - ON AOR: 16th Sep Medicals Passed: 12th Oct Ip1: 12th Oct NA2: 13th Oct IP2: ? PPR: I’m available to answer any related questions or enquiries. Cheers guys |

Dunni1113: I noticed that we have few applicants going though the pnp route, so we have to source for a lot of info ourselves... However, Manitoba did a draw on 26th of September with a lil over 380 applicants.. still waiting for saskatchewan to be opened and Ontario to start issuing NOI hopefully this month or next. So let's all be watchful and hopeful. May God help us all... I was trying to see if there's any post AOR PNP applicant with updates. The stream seems to be moving slower than a snail. |
