CelebritiesRe: NDLEA Obtains Court Order To Keep Baba Suwe 15 more Days - SaharaReporters by LloydAchi(m): 1:50am On Oct 23, 2011
Baba is even prolonging the matter. He should help himself by sheatin three times a day and before you know it, he must have done like 20 times before now. Its really simple, eat food, take fruits (lots of fruits) and drink enough water. Except he has something to hide.

Sometimes I am disappointed with some threads on NL. For goodness sake, take this thread out of the front page. And the poster has shown how Stup1d and Foo/l1sh he is.
There are some sane and matured persons just joining NL, you don't really want them to close their account due to some irresponsible post ok.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Sends 100 Military Advisers Against Kony's Rebels In Uganda by LloydAchi(m): 1:39am On Oct 16, 2011
While in Uganda drilling for oil, I knew that it won't take long for the Americans to invade. They are just using the fight against Kony as a proxy. They will definitely help in getting the guy with their technology and advanced war machines, but so will Uganda be indebted to them forever. This is the oil war series part 1. Kony is not the biggest problem in Uganda. He is just fighting a tribal war though his methods are not conventional. He has been hiding in the jungle of south sudan and DRC since God knows when. Like all African countries, their biggest problem is corruption and the corrupt are aided by the West. If the Americans want to help the rest of the world, they need to look at themselves in the mirror.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Is Not Against Nigerian Society - Yuguda by LloydAchi(m): 4:26pm On Oct 03, 2011
prettyG:
Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda, argued that the Boko Haram group was not necessarily against the Nigerian society.

In his words: "I want the Press to appreciate and let them try to define what Boko Haram really means. Boko in Hausa means learning in English while Haram is something forbidden.

"They did not say they forbid learning in Arabic, neither did they say they forbid learning in Chinese language or German or French.
Hellooooooo, this is Nigeria we are talking about here. We speak English, learn English and do our jobs in English. Our anthem is written in English and everything about our communication is in English, so I don't know which other society we are talking about. Is it Arewa?

In fact this man is not fit to be a Nigerian talk less of being a sitting Governor. He is so retarded.

Yes, there was some maintenance going on for the past few weeks now. But the light came back to my area, Garrison, Ogbumnuabali since the day before yesterday. Its been steady since but there are occasional switch-off from time to time but we been sleeping all night with light and we are now enjoying it.
, then you must be Thomas

This is not about Thomas, this is about persons with integrity and class, whose head is above his shoulder and who will come to equity with clean hands. Let such a person speak and I will listen and listen attentively.
But comon, not one of these politician whose past time is to seek for favor from the US ambassador.

Yardua was corrupt, I agree but so is IBB, OBJ and Uncle Joe, thats not news. But this Sycophant Salaku or what is his name, is also corrupt and one of our problems.
after reading this, guess i misunderstood you
My apologies
Accepted.

I hate corruption, everything in me hates it, every Nigerian except those that benefits from it hates corruption. But when a thief calls another a thief, i just laugh at them.
Nigeria is sick because of all our past leaders. They regard the country as one of their estate. Our judges and lawyers are all corrupt, look at what is happening in the judiciary, My antidote to all of these is elimination. every one that has tasted power, children of those that have tasted power needs to be cleaned out of our system. Then we can take our country back.

But I don't think this will happen in this generation because we are too scared to take our destiny in our hands.

In as much as I agree that all Nigerian politicians are corrupt, I want concrete proof from whoever is running his mouth. Its not enough to run to the US ambassador to say something because you want to curry favor except you were paid as an informant. From this wikileak report, this man has fallen out of favor with his party and his bosses and now he seems to want to discredit them in the eyes of the Americans. They said he is one of the old guard, the persons that have run this country aground. As a matter of fact, I don't believe anything he said, Persons like this are our main problem while we don't move forward in Nigeria.
Our leaders are corrupt, that's no more news, even the groundnut seller knows that. My late great great grand mother knows that, there are no roads, no electricity, no water except you have a borehole at home, nothing works because of corruption that started long before I was born.
I want to see proof of the money, when it was given out, by whom and to whom in particular, evidence. WIKILEAKS IS ACTUALLY REVEALING THE SYCOPHANTS AMONG US.

PoliticsRe: Obj Vs Ibb: You’re An Ingrate, Fani- Kayode Tells Obasanjo by LloydAchi(m): 2:18am On Aug 22, 2011
" The truth is that the loyalty and support that an individual gives to any leader must be reciprocated and any leader worth his salt knows this. A leader that takes his followers for granted and takes pleasure in the destruction, humiliation, travails, shame and political persecution of his own loyalists is not a real leader but something else. On the other hand the leader that stands by his loyalists through thick and thin and that reciprocates the commitment, love, support, compassion and loyalty that he receives from them is a true leader. As far as I am concerned that is the difference between OBJ and IBB. Babangida recognises these things and is loyal to his own whilst Obasanjo does not."

Fani-Kayode is the greatest fool. If you have problem with your former boss, why hide under another man to throw your punch. YOU ARE A BIG FOOL.

I don't support either OBJ or IBB. Infact I detest them both. They both brought all the misery we face in Nigeria today. Damn them both. This rift btw them is answer to all our prayers. They will continue to reveal all the part the played in our present difficulties. And one day, they will finally answer. We will catch them from their confessions. That will be what will be used against them.

BRING ON THE FIGHT. NIGERIANS ARE WAITING AND WATCHING.
PoliticsRe: What Changes Are You Expecting From The New Finance Minister? by LloydAchi(m): 3:15am On Aug 19, 2011
@ Courage89

I see that u have a lot of valid points about deregulation but try selling that to Labour union in Nigeria and you will have a general/complete SHUT DOWN of the work force vis-a vis economy.

Let us not be carried way too off. The Nigerian society is not that ripe. Yes, we have intellectuals but whats the ratio to those that are not enlightened. You may have traveled wide and seen different cultures and life styles, but how many have had that oppurtunity. You may have a good job and life a very comfortable or relatively comfortable live, but have ever wondered how many of those faces we see everyday on the road can confidently afford a three square meal.

As somebody rightly said, fuel subsidy is the only gain the poor masses have from our economy. I agree that its not helping the economy right now but removing it won't be the answer. We need to tackle corruption and mis-management first head-on. Kill the hydra-headed monster, rid the government, esp NNPC, DPR and its associates of inept and lazy workers, get our agriculture in good stead, fix power and generally improve the living conditions of the masses, then we can start talking about de-regulation and removal of fuel subsidy, This is my take on this.
