The saliva of an health dog is also antiseptic nd free if bacteria. It helps with the quick recovery if an open injury. That is why they lick open injuries, and even like to do same for their owners.
Let me add two more.
5. Dogs are affectionate and can be sad if their owner is u happy.
6. They are very loyal, loyal than many humans. They can lay down their lives for their owners if need be (for good dog owners sha).

Some people are still arguing that a cat is better than a dog. But, I will like to list some strong points(that are 100% true). But if you think otherwise, you can list out your own points.

The Points/Reasons Why Dogs Make A Good pet are;

1. Companionship and Friendliness

2. Security

While criminals usually don't think rationally before they commit a crime, most realize it's not the best idea to rob or harm someone
with a dog. The best way to get away with a crime is to do the deed as quietly as possible. Dogs throw a kink in that plan by either barking from 5 feet away -- in the case of a Chihuahua -- or getting up close and personal with the lawbreaker, such as a German shepherd. You should never rely on a dog solely for security, but they do provide peace of mind.


3. Fun

Aside from screaming at you as puppies when locked in their crate at night, dogs blow away other animals on the entertainment scale, at least if you enjoy being physically active. From enjoying a sunny day at the park to playing peek-a-boo from around the corner, dogs enjoy fast-paced action that will certainly have you belting out a few laughs.


4. Health Benefits

If you're looking to stay fit or meet a fitness goal, daily walks will keep you on that path. But aside from the obvious, dogs provide
health benefits that can't be measured in the mirror. If you have high blood pressure, you may receive a bit of good news the next time you visit your doctor, if you have a dog. According to Alabama A&M; and Auburn Universities, researchers at Baker Medical Research Institute in 1992 found that pet owners experienced lower systolic blood pressure than people who did not own a pet. In fact, the simple act of petting a puppy can lower your stress level. Plus, the fur will keep your hands warm in the winter.

Good work OP. I once watched a video by K-9 Police, it looked very simple and the dogs were doing well even at their very first attempt. When I tried it, I was nt successful with it cos the dog I used was hyper active. I am still perplexed at how handlers on YouTube videos prefer hyper dogs cos they grasp instructions faster, but I find them harder to control.
Bloodhound is the dog I know has the greatest "nose" in the dog world
But any day anytime, I will still prefer a GSD cos its size and intelligence is an added advantage for protection /security.
OP, pls do Rott's also have a nose for this kind of exercise?
