Family / Re: I Feel Like I'm Being Bullied In My Family by lolu2019: 3:49pm On Nov 09, 2023
HelpfulBro:
I'm a young man and still living with my parents and sisters. I earn some good amount of money and I'm doing okay for myself, I try as much as I can to help my family out with food stuff for example I've helped with 100k for food stuff from now till December and did a little things too like support my mom and help my dad but I'm very unhappy with my sisters and mom.

My sisters always verbally abuse me by insulting me when I don't do something for them and try to make feel guilty for not giving them what they ask for, when I try to set boundaries like what I don't like they tell me to shut up that I'm the junior that I'm talking rubbish

Just this Morning while I was still getting up with sleep in my eyes and praying they started banging my door that light meter has finished and I should come and pay but I was confused so I just didn't respond till I finished praying and came out. Before I did she was already shouting that they should leave me since I don't want to answer and she'll put #200 naira own if that what I want.

She injured her leg from the door while she was going out side to do it and now she's blaming me that I'm the reason why it happened to her, saying I'm still her junior and I don't have sense that why would I not answer her. I'm shocked and I told her how I'm I the problem and I just literally woke up, I just told them that I hate them and now she's insulting me more

I don't respond but I'm getting very angry at this and I'm looking for a way to leave the house and relocate, they are my older sisters and they don't even work or do anything but I don't say it to their faces but I don't see why they don't give me mutual respect at all
make I hear ur sister side of the story first.

He said the LP House members told him that the car is not for their personal use but for official use, meaning they will only be shortchanging themselves (LP) if they decide not to use it since the car is for each office...

That aside, just imagine if it's Obi that's the president, you think he will not convince the house members to go for a cheaper version of those cars, instead of this overpriced ones Tinubu has used to welcome them into his malfeasance? undecided
which one is cheaper version.must u think like somebody from Aba or China.Ariaria market boys.

The question is not about possibility, the question is how FREE ELECTRICITY will be generated for all public universities.
The Exxon mobil you mentioned, I hope you realise it is the revenue they generated from the community's resources that they used to provide that electricity. The point is there is nothing FREE in this world in running a country, someone somewhere pays for it. We can't just be making postulations online when we don't even know how something currently operates or how what we are saying should be done will be done.
the money generated from the removal of subsidy can be used to generate free electricity for the universities.

One community

Vs

All the govt universities in Nigeria.

They cannot at all be compared. So I am really keen to understand HOW exactly you think that's going to be done.
it is possible.they have been doing it for years.if fuel subsidy money can go into it,it will be better.

No one is against accountability. If the government is ready and ABLE to take on all the other running expenses, they should please proceed. They can then demand for the full revenue the Unis are generating.

But of course, you and I know what typically happens to money that goes into govt coffers, more SUVs for instance. The useless N50 stamp duty they deduct from millions of bank transfers daily, can we see what impact it's had on the citizens? Infact, don't let's get started.

Also, how exactly is govt going to generate FREE ELECTRICITY? How?
it is possible bro.unless they don't want to do it.if ExxonMobil can supply a whole community free electricity, universities won't be a problem.

Have you demanded from these schools to account for how they expend their revenues and they didn't?

Even if they are not paying their staff, don't they build campus facilities, conduct researches, and many other things using these revenues?
which research is that.research is a personal thing. And I have not seen any institution fund a student for research or project.

Don't mind the ignorant ones here saying what they clearly do not know. Many universities are currently running on a deficit even with what they manage to generate. Unilag's VC mentioned the other time that their monthly electricity bill was over 100m.
if the electricity bill is so high.they government should generate free electricity for them.my own is accountability.

It is the school that pays most non-academic staffs not federal government. Nepa bills of student living in hostels who depend more on hotplate to cook amount to millions. When school show you their day to day expenses you go understand better.
so they can't regulate pre paid meter.what of schools that don't have hostels.

Oga you're not from Abia so shut up and don't talk about things you don't know. There's a reason why the man doesn't use the Government House. It has zero to do with saving costs like he said. The man is fighting for his life. The moment he starts using that office, o ti lo. He's done for. I'm not sure Ikpeazu even used it for one day. The diabolism and witchcraft that has been installed in that place ehhhh, it would take a combination of Oyedepo, Adeboye, Kumuyi, etc to cleanse the place.

There might be factors that made her accept you, such as traditional reasons that drastically reduce her chances of marrying an Igbo man, environmental or her personality.

Aside quality genes, Igbo men are known to be more responsible in marriage. They mostly keep to one wife. They provide for the family etc.

How many Yorubas, even the poor ones marry one wife in their life time? How many of them are fully responsible for their family?

We know that having baby mama is now seen as a culture in yorubaland. A yoruba man can even decide to walk away from his from his family and it wouldn't be seen as taboo. Maybe, having muslims in your midst contributed to such lifestyle but Igbo men don't behave like that.

Lol, his ignorance is undiluted. It's extremely difficult to see any Igbo woman that will want to marry a Yoruba man. Except such Yoruba man is a celebrity like Davido or wealthy. Igbo women consider Yoruba men only when their chances of getting Igbo men are very low. Especially, when it is due to certain traditional reasons which I won't mention here.

However, on the contrary, Yoruba men who succeed in marrying Igbo women see it as a great achievement.

These are facts no one would argue except ignorant ones.
