Aremugangan:You Muslims make me laugh. I guess you will stop @ nothing to prop up your religion even it means insulting other people's intelligence so if everybody is born a Muslim give answer to the following questions 1. What about those born before the advent of Islam or did people start being born a Muslim after Islam started 2. If everybody is born a Muslim so what is your Jihad to which million of people have lost their lives over the past centuries all about - if I’m already a Muslim why try to force me to become a Muslim all over again 3. Why is the word 'convert' being used on the same website you pasted earlier - here have a look http://www.islamcan.com/muslim-convert-stories-story.shtml. and its being used in a million and one websites and Islam programs on TV According to you "Islam is the only religion that thought all the subject in life"- I believe you meant taught (I will take that as typo error). Are you saying nothing was taught/thought before Islam. Give an object or invention that emanated from Islam. Mind you I don’t want the usual cock and bull stories you guys have told a thousand times over. People need to understand that Arab is different from Islam because the typical stuff is for Islam to claim anything and everything Arab. |
He was never a muslim but his elder brother Jermaine Jackson converted to Islam in 1989 or thereabout. |
Tonye-t:I have seen christian threads degenerated into forums for personal attack and name calling in the past. I do not think it's asking for too much if we ask posters to be civil. |
Abuzola:Mr Abuzola you are not a Christian yet I can see how obsessed you are with Christianity judging from your last 20 post(which is mostly about Christianity) looks like you have nothing to offer or gain from Christian threads why dont you use the time and energy you are wasting on these threads on your own Islam or Muslim threads maybe, just maybe your Islam will stop endorsing violence disguised as Jihad, maybe your Islam will start treating women better and not see them as another piece of property maybe, just maybe Muslims can stopping feeling that they are superior to every other non muslim mortals , TIME IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE |
Recently I read a write up which was critical of a popular pastor in Nigeria, this generated a lot of heated debate within the forum as a lot of people feels Men of God should not be criticised even in whatever situation. In my opinion men of God are like any human being with their strength and weaknesses I therefore see no reason why they cannot be criticised especially when they've done something wrong, I need to point out that criticism should be done to encourage such men of God to be a better person(or pastor) and not trying to bring them down or tarnish their image. LET'S DISCUSS but lets keep it civil (even where we have to criticise) Note: This is an open forum that respect the right of individual opinion Any uncivil, derogatory or foul comment will be deleted No form of personal attack will be allowed (everyone's got right to their opinion) |
@ comingo I wonder why you post this topic in the first instance as I can see you are quick to shut down the views of those who do not subscribe to your opinion. The purpose of a forum like this is to allow everybody have their say however unacceptable their views might be instead of trying to whip those with opposing view into line. |
I will make my points strictly from legal point of view, because this is a very complex issue, because this matter has a lot of implications to DSTV, Nigeria and the African continent as a whole. I wonder how dstv can be granted the exclusive right to broadcast EPL in Africa, when the same practice is not acceptable in Europe and America because of competition law, where right to broadcast is exclusive to each country, and even within each country one company is not allowed exclusive broadcast. For example the right to EPL in UK which is owned by Sky Sports has been withdrawn and the broadcast has been splited into four licenses where a company can only acquire maximum of three living at least one license for another broadcaster. The effect is that certain EPL games will not be broadcasted by Sky but other broadcaster which may acquire the right to other EPL games. Giving Exclusive right to DSTV amount to equate one European country to the whole of Africa, which i feel politically and Economically is very wrong. I know DSTV does not operate in every African countries but even in those countries where it does not operate other local company cannot broadcast the matches. Thus what NFG has done is not only to liberate Nigeria from this "slavery" arrangement, but the whole of Africa because if each countries can be individually licensed it will help to develop the broadcast sector not only in Nigeria but the whole of Africa. Therefore this is more than issue of inferiority complex between Nigeria and South Africa, but an issue deliberate attempt by DSTV in collaboration with their European master to keep Africa broadcasting industry from developing |
