Samantha125: If calling out other African foreign nationals for committing crimes in SA translates to us being xenophobic, then yes, we are xenophobic and very proud of it.
And I'm guessing those other African nationals living in SA and backing us up are also xenophobic as well... Isn't that so nice?😃😃😃 Ok |
Nairaland General › Re: Those Nigerians Accusing SA Of Xenophobia, Get In Here by Lorayne(m): 10:54pm On Mar 02, 2025 |
Samantha125: But how many of you guys come online to caution your people compared to those who insult black South Africans?
And for your information, I have seen some of them being disrespectful towards South Africans... And immediately South Africans react, they'd take out their phones and start filming so as to keep pushing that narrative of South Africans "xenophobic".
And the main reason South Africans are mainly focused on you is because you guys talk too much, you're too loud and mostly choose to sympathize with your people for committing crimes here in SA... And if you're gonna accuse South Africans of xenophobia, then that would mean that you're also implying that those other African foreign nationals calling your people out are xenophobic as well, since your people like misusing that word... Ok. What are you actually saying? That some south Africans are not actually xenophobic? That this is a false narrative being peddled by Nigerians? |
Nairaland General › Re: Those Nigerians Accusing SA Of Xenophobia, Get In Here by Lorayne(m): 10:25pm On Mar 02, 2025 |
Samantha125: You guys also generalize when talking about black South Africans, so don't complain when you receive the taste of your own medicine from other law abiding African foreign nationals living in SA.
Maybe you'll finally listen when it's them calling you out... Because instead of calling out your people whenever they do wrong here in SA, you always sympathise with them despite knowing deep down that they're guilty and you'll start insulting all black South Africans in return.
On few occasions I've heard Ghanaians talking about how disrespectful Nigerians can be towards South Africans here in SA... They'd provoke South Africans and immediately cry xenophobia when they react. I'm not trying to fight. You re still generalizing.... Not all of us insult south Africans and not all of condone what some of our brothers do in your country and even in this forum there re some of us that call them out. There re bad Nigerians just as there are bad south Africans but you guys make it seem that Nigerians are the only people responsible for crimes in your country. And on the bolded, you've heard, you've not seen, you don't even know if it's true or not but you re already using that to say how Nigerians are disrespectful(not even some). And about us receiving the taste of our medicine I believe it's actually the other way round. |
Nairaland General › Re: Those Nigerians Accusing SA Of Xenophobia, Get In Here by Lorayne(m): 9:39pm On Mar 02, 2025 |
Samantha125: It's the bitter truth that your people are not ready to accept... Since it's other African foreign nationals living in South Africa calling them out, they're now silent... But had it been that it was South Africans, they'd have filled this thread already. Sorry, did not watch the videos like that, was just skipping. Saw some wrong informations on the first and the second guy was just repeating things over and over again. We like to react to things so obviously everyone wants to use to trend. There re some truths in the videos tho'. It's the generalizing I don't like. Not every Nigerian is bad and it's not every Nigerian that comes to your country goes there to do crimes. |

ehikwe22: It's not inflated. During my time in early 2022, we were 50k in my cohort alone in the software engineering program. And several other programs were taking place simultaneously. And the cohort intake was monthly. Do the maths.
Note: the 50+ is for all Africans. Nigerians make up 30 to 50% in any ALX program in any cohort. I know because I've since done some other programs with them It's exaggerated. Out of that 50k less than 2k graduated. I was part of cohort 9 |
