Hi guys,

I got my mum's interview date mail today. Her interview is scheduled for 2nd week in November (next month).

Please I have few questions, how soon is the best time to have her go for her medicals and any idea what the current cost is?

Her police character certificate was received/completed in August 2020 (last year), is this still valid or she needs a new one?

Other than the i-864 affidavit of support forms and original copy of her case approval letter, please is there any other documents I need to send to her from my end?

Thanks for your help with these info.
She need a New Police Character Certificate, is only Valid for one year. Book her for medical Immediately. Am not Sure what the Cost is , She will need your Birth Certificate Showing her Name as mother, any Recent Pictures you took with her,

Happy new week everyone,

Please my agent made mistake on my flight ticket by inputing wrong date of birth,
Is been a week since my ticket was booked and i get to find out just now sadly .

Please has anyone encountered such error and how do I go about it ? Ethiopian airline contact has been om voice mail since.

My date of departure is Dec 10th.
Go to their office in one of the International Airport, Lagos or Abuja and change the date of Birth, i don't see that as any problem since your names are correctly spelled. i once did the mistake and never noticed until i wanted to board.....they will rectify it, not a big deal.

This was how a friend left a 300,000 job to America. He was busy converting how much they will pay her $5000 to naira forgetting that she is not going to spend naira in America. She is busy lamenting now, to even call from America na wahala cos our friend is very busy working there to pay compulsory bills something she enjoyed and usually avoid while in Nigeria.
She Probably travelled on Visit Visa, which will limit her from work. if she got a Green-card she won't complain. let's break it down......5000$ tax and social Security will be Approximately 800$, One Bedroom flat with utility bill will be Approximately 1000$ feeding and Transportation Approximately 1000$.....you will save more money in USA if you are here alone without family (kids) i have paper and i dnt overwork myself. i hv only one job and saving 3000$ plus monthly. i just relocated to USA this year. stayed in Middle east for 10 years and i cnt wait to go back because no Tax. the jobs in USA is more than the people here. Amazon will give you just and still pay you like 1000$ for taking a job in Amazon.

if you are in nigeria where you have a job ( though the salary may not be enough for you) but you have a job, you have a roof over your head and you eat 3 square meals be contented and keep asking God for a better tomorrow than going to the abroad to do slavery where dey don't give a shiii about your educational qualification.if you like have 10 masters,if it is gateman or laundry man work available you go do am so isn't it better to be a king in your village where you know las Las Na my country I dey , tomorrow go better than to go and be doing houseboy for people who aren't up to your age but are oyinbo.

The only time abroad sweet be say you dey go abroad go do vacation and come back to nigeria
Pure Lie, here in USA i secure an Officer Job with my NECO Result, the Requirement is High School Diploma, all that is required is to Evaluate your certificate to US Standard. Travel to county with the Right Visa, and not Visit visa. is better to be Houseboy in USA than a Banker in Nigeria. @ worst Houseboy will comfortably save 1000$ that is over 500k ....abeg how much is bank manager salary? if this Houseboy come back to Nigeria he will stay in 5 star Hotel, eat with VIPs,.......

Na simple English be "I've been travelling before you start primary school." Better speak pidgin or your local dialect and experience peace.
Don't mind him. I told my Sargent at work the same thing when he said my accent is strong, told him i was forced to speak English by the British and am not ready to change my accent for anyone. am ready to repeat myself 5X for you to understand me. i see Nigerians forming Americans here i just laughed. surprisingly the female officer's like my Nigeria English accent.

this is a fact lots of people don't know. I've been busy reading comments of people here about failure to book an appointment. Many said the next appointment date is mid 2022 which is a fact. Covid-19 is biting hard. Cases are soaring again. They just can't expressly shut down appointment site,. My cousin's student visa's appointment experience was a proof the staff at the embassy aren't working at full capacity yet. After his visa was approved a couple of months ago, he shared his experience on how scanty the embassy staff and visa officers were in number, same way banks and other companies still work from home.

All I'd advise is, people traveling with the intention of visit should wait till next year. Things would be reviewed soonest hopefully. I've been travelling to US since 2004 and appointment bookings s have never been so difficult as heard from people. Calm down guys. Everything would soon be alright
To add to your Points, One of the Requirement for visit visa is to Apply 3 months in advance before the intend date of travel. if you are booking appointment for June 2022 you already failed the basic requirements for visit visa. if the appointment date available is not within the 3 months then you have to wait.......Abeg what will be your answer if the Consular ask you why did you put in application in January and your interview date is December. Covid19 is not an excuse.......Stop booking appointment for 2022 most especially first timer.....
I know someone who was in the US for 4 months 3 weeks and she got her visa renewed without any issue and she has travelled to the US. I don’t understand where the visa fraud is here . She works in showbiz and a lot of time entertainers take time off . It was just the difficult trump administration that caused that denial . She didn’t over stay her six months and didn’t abuse her visa so where is the visa fraud ?

the Person that stayed 4 months and 3 weeks probably Renewed her visa through drop box. she will not be granted visa in the first place if she tells the Consular officer that her visit is for 4 months. the 6 months stamp at the port of entry is a trap for Red flag Countries. i have a friend that stayed for 3 months and 3 weeks. his visa was Revoked at port of entry and was given 10 years ban. if you indicate 3 weeks in your visa application and you end up staying for 3 months without any reasonable reasons then your visa might be revoked. having enough time off from work is not a reason at all. This also Depends on the CBP officer.

I think the Embassy did her a Favor by not Renewing her visa, if the visa was renewed it will be revoked at port of entry. Nigeria is a Red Flag Country for visa Fraud, even if you are CEO of a Company you don't take 5 months vacation at once. her Explanation did not add up. Maternity Leave in Nigeria is 3 Months........i visited US like 4 times before relocating,,,i was nearly turned back in one of my visit , the reason was that i visit US too often ..........i only stayed 21 days in each visit
Guys please I need a few suggestions here.
A friend of mine went to the US 3 years ago and cos of the nature of her job she was able to stay for 5 months and came back. She had no intentions of staying back cos she’s been to the US couple of times and came back after 1 month of all her trip but this particular trip 3 years ago was her first time staying that long.

She tried re applying but the fact she states 5 months and simply told the VO that she just had free time and decided to stay that long but had no intention of staying back and for that reason she was denied. The VO asked why she stayed for 5 months and she said it was just a long holiday.

Honestly it was just an innocent stay or I’ll call it long holiday and time off and she is finding it very hard to explain why she stayed long because it wasn’t anything serious.

Now she is re applying again and her worry is how she can defend the long 5 months holiday because she has a good job here and has travelled to several other countries. It was just an innocent long holiday and taking time off.

Please any one who can give a good suggestion will be highly appreciated.

They will be on the look out for a man who is from Qatar but will tell them that he's from Nigeria

Tell them the truth, they don't care if you have money or not, they will give you a visa[/quote

Seems you dnt understand my question @Seun, I needed to know if I should apply for the Visa here in Qatar Instead of Nigeria. Am not a Qatari am a Nigerian Residing in Qatar.

Hello VO, I live and Reside in Qatar but am Planning to Apply for US visit Visa April 2017 In Nigeria. I will be visiting a friend in USA during the EId Holiday. The Reason I want to apply from Nigeria is because I have my Savings Account with over 15M, But my Account here in Qatar is just my Salary Account which I don't keep money inside. Will I be asked to go and apply in Qatar by the VO?

Expecting to hear from you.
