Going for Vacation is it not a valid reason?
You are sponsoring your trip yourself, is it not a valid reason?
Returning back to your work place, and to your children and husband is it not a valid reason?
What other valid reason again.
Thanks
lol all the above are valid reasons...but trust me VO will not consider that a valid reason for nigerians |

With the above, am I good to go? your chance of getting visit visa is slim........the problem is not your uncle....you can have 20million in your account and still be rejected visa. you need to show them something that will make you return back to Nigeria after your visit to uk........Example (Business, Wife, Kids, well Paying Job, Travel Histories, etc). the 1 Million you are talking about is just 1300 Pounds. |

My uncle who has British passport wants to invite me to UK to visit him base on his health condition and my work here in Nigeria is a salary work of 46k. And again, the salary account has been receiving money like one million and something but not up to two million. And my uncle said he will send me his British passport for my application My concern now is, is my salary of 46k and the money that my friend has been sending to my account which is sometimes more than one million and sometimes not up affect my Visa approval ? Pls advise me also on other things to do. Thank u who is sponsoring your trip to uk? 46k salary is no go area.....you need to save 1 year salary to be able to secure return flight ticket......you need a solid tie back home to secure a visit visa |

Abdoor44: Hello gurus,
I make some changes to my DS160 form. my question is, during my interview, should i go with the old and new DS160 forms? Is it advisable to tell the visa officer about the updated DS160 form during my interview or i should just handle the new form and wait until im asked about the new update on my form? Also, i recently visited about 3 European countries but my passport was not stamped during my visit because i traveled by bus. Even when i traveled by air, the border security didn't stamp my passport, i asked him why he told me is because i have a Schengen valid visa. I have also included those travel histories in my DS160 application form. Please what's your view about this?
Thank you, guys are you applying from Nigeria? if not then no worries.....most western countries only stamp passport when you are coming into the country. |

em7even: Heads up!!!
If you're going to Middlesex University, get ready for a very serious Visa Credibility Interview by the ISAT. If you fail this interview, no CAS for you. Attend their Open Evening events and Visa Credibility Preparation webinars for insights. Know about your course modules, your plans after study, your whys, the school and its facilities, your budget and your commute to school from wherever you may live, your source of fund, etc. If you have had any visa refusal, make sure you have the letter because they'd ask for it and if you don't get it to them, no CAS.
For Abuja TB test, you don't need to wait till your appointment time to go there. The time of your appointment is inconsequential. It's very important that you're there as early as 07:00 at least on your day of appointment.
Have a nice day, and drink some water. Thanks for the Information, is this applicable to all student visa application or only for Middlesex university? your Kind Response will be appreciated |

Jasmine90216: I guess you missed the part where I stated that I was engaged. I wasn't single, I was going to be married. There are no options made for people that are engaged, in my head, I thought okay since I'm going to be married in a few months why not just fill it in as married. It was an honest mistake. No need for you to crucify me. You can give your opinions without casting aspersions on my person. My ds260 form has always carried my status as single from the on set and this is exactly what I will say at the embassy. The marriage never went through and I'm still single. Whatever their decision is then, so be it. Don't Mind TWoods........get a valid Divorce certificate you will be fine........he was probably denied US visa multiple times and is bringing the anger on you.........@TWoods: Direct your anger to the Consular officer that denied your visa. |

seek4yemi: Let me explain. I got to US with a student visa in 2016, in 2018 I invited my mum and my brother for my graduation(infront of the VO my brother forgot my course of study so he said I was studying accounting I think and my mum said no he’s studying healthcare Management) red flag so they were denied. Boom 2019 I got him an MBA admission he went for a student visa twice or three times stating my mum is gonna be his sponsor. Now my mum retired and I wanna sponsor him now.I was thinking of changing his MBA to MSc political science or should he still maintain the same MBA admission from another school. In 2019 I got a temporary two years greencard card then I joined the military so I became a citizen. I could file a greencard petition for him but it will take 5-8years because he’s above 21years. So my immigration status have nothing to do with him. how did you get your Temporary 2 Years Green Card? your Immigration Status have a lot to do with his application. I will advise you to Process UK Student Visa and he can Apply from UK.........the visa Denied have nothing to do with the Course of Study. i think you Should File for him and not to Apply for Another Student Visa. the First Interview probably put him in the Red-list |

Jasmine90216: Oh many thanks for your input and advice. I will surely take this to heart. Yes it's complicated but the attorney handling the case for my sponsor advice us to leave my ds260 has single since that's my current status. Hopefully it won't come up in the interview and if it does, this advice you gave sure makes sense. Thanks once again Surely it will come up on your interview. is not too late to get your Divorce certificate. you Applied as Married then and now you are applying as single. the only thing that Proof that is a Divorce Certificate. in my case i Paid the Bride price but no court paper or any legal documents that shows we are married. but Embassy Recognized Pride price as a legal marriage. when the whole thing did not work out i went to Magistrate Court to obtained a Divorce certificate not fake and not back door. while on visit in USA i met my new wife and we got married here in USA. and after marriage i went back to my Base. and she filed for me..... i visited US 4 times and each visit i spend 3 weeks, i just relocated this year February...........but the Interveners in Nigeria will scrutinize your Document for sure. they always look for mistake....but if you are applying from a first world country then no issues |

But before it could get to the level of court registry, you guys splited up. Best Advise get a Divorce from a magistrate court (Customary Court) not fake but walk into one and get your Divorce certificate. |

Jasmine90216: Hi all. Great submissions all through, learnt alot. Glad I found this forum. Like many others, I'm also on this journey that has become such a long tumultuous process of waiting, hoping and praying. My pd is June 2015, DQ May 2021, awaiting interview letter. Having read through almost all pages on this forum, I have a question or should I say a small worry concerning my case or perhaps I'm just being paranoid. My category is F1, but about 3 -4 years ago , I applied for non immigrant visiting visa which was denied but in that application, I filled married, cause I was engaged then and thought I was going to get married, which didn't happen, which makes me single up till today. Now my question to the experts in the house is, now that I'm awaiting my interview letter for my immigrant visa, if that comes through hopefully soon, will I be asked about the change of my marital status at the embassy because of what I filled in my visiting visa application form years ago, or will they just go by what's filled in my ds260 which indicates single? This is my question. Looking forward to your replies. Thank you in advance! Go to a Magistrate Court and get a Divorce Certificate. you can now tell them you married her traditionally and bride price as been returned back for a long time, but only recently you decided to get the divorce certificate because of your visa process. US embassy recognized bride-price as valid marriage. and they also no that return of bride-price is a divorce but you need a paper work for that.........your case is similar to mine but i did not apply from Nigeria..........i visited US 4 times before Relocating with Immigrant Visa IR1. |

Bellachao: Good afternoon house, I recently discovered this thread and it has been really been helpful. I got an RFE yesterday, and the confusing part is we had sent most of the things they asked us to resend which includes 1) we sent 2 separate signed statements 2) evidence of ongoing communication 3) evidence of subsequent meetings (we initially sent them at least 30 pictures at different times) 4) evidence of engagement ceremony ( we included pictures of the proposal, sent receipts of the engagement ring) 5) evidence of family and friends being aware of the relationship ( we sent pictures that included times where both parents met at a dinner ) I honestly do not know what to do .
The recently added items we were asked to send are 1) evidence of wedding preparations ( which I have no clue how I’m going to go about it , because we haven’t been able to make plans since we do not know how long this whole process with last) 2)evidence of financial support
Please I need help on how to go about this . Thank you sent them the Recent Communication between you two. they just needed something recent from you. also a personal statement from you stating you intended to marry her within 1 or 2 month when you arrived in USA...................if she ever sent you money include the receipt and if you ever sent her money include those receipt |

Abdoor44: Hello gurus in the house, I would like to ask some questions about B1/B2 visitor visa,
I am a student in Europe, I got an invitation letter from a university in the states to attend a 3 weeks training and seminar which i have been given a topic to present at the seminar, it was stated in the invitation letter that i will be attending one of their departmental conference during my period of visit. It also stated in the invitation letter that my accommodation, food, and local transportation will be covered and i will be picked up at the airport by the university rep on the day of my arrival in the states...These are my questions?
1. 2019, i was rejected a Canadian student visa from Nija...July 2021 i was rejected UK visa to attend a conference base on covid 19 and financial reasons and the visa application was made in Europe. What is my chance of getting approved for the US visa?
2. In 2014 i traveled to UAE.... in 2019 i visited Ghana. recently i visited Germany and turkey. Will these visited countries fly as travel history?
3. I intend to use self-sponsorship for the trip, although all my living expenses for the 3weeks stay will be covered by my host institution in the state... I have a registered business in Nigeria being run and managed by my staff while I'm here for my studies and the business documents is with me, can this prove my source of income....?
Thank in anticipation as you take your precious time to answer my questions above! You can give it a try....no where to indicate you have been refused a visa before in visa application form.... unless there was a Denied stamp on your passport........am not sure the type of visa you will be applying for. because B1/B2 visa is not for training and for you to secure a student visa you need to hv I20. J1 Visa will be the best if you are a Professional |

Drae20: Hello Friends,
I applied for the B-1 Visa last week, got January 2024 as the earliest date available. After reading and going through the criteria for an emergency interview on the USA website. I immediately packaged myself, based on my experience as a Chartered Accountant and having genuine intent to travel for business collaborations in the automobile industry. I applied for an expedite interview appointment attaching all my proofs including bank statement and all important documents at my disposal. The emergency appointment was approved and a date was automatically selected for me by them.
My concerns: I learnt it will be difficult for someone who claims to be an importer of USA Vehicles to be issued a Visa, please how true is this? I really need experience in this line, though i have all necessary documents you can imagine. I am also married with two kids, i have landed properties (though no C of O yet), expecting more than 7 cars already shipped from the USA, my wife is a year two PhD student in one of the most rated University in the Southwest, she also has an unused and unexpired B-1 visa.
Please your honest experience will be much appreciated at this time.
Kudos to all as i await feedbacks!!! I wish you Good Luck but to be Honest there's no Emergency Situation in what you just said........i think you should just Cancel the Appointment ..........the Officer will be after to see what the emergency was and not car documents..........I also applied for my Immigrant visa to be expedited based on medical condition and was granted.......Business Trips are not Considered Emergency.........Better to wait than have the Record of Refusal ...........all the best |
