The car is dope and you will like it. However, you must make maintenance a priority. I enjoy the ride so much that i hv used 3 but different year model. Safety is top notch, same as reliability. Getting this car from Naija owner will require thorough check to ascertain the usage. Also, a 2.5L engine is better than 2.0L

Why do you need an ECU(brainbox), what are the issues on your car needing ECM replacement. If you care to share here, you may get valuable second opinion on the cause.

Use ONLY 5W40 full synthetic oil from a reputable brand. Total, mobil, castrol, liqui moly and some others.

Use only coolant in the cooling system.

Even in years to come, don't connect radiator fan directly.

Ensure the engine bottom cover is intact.

My oil leaked out onto the road while I was driving because a seal broke where that timing chain is. So i towed the car there and asked them to fix the seal. After they fixed it, i came back days later to find the car wasn't starting ...or wasn't starting well. It kept stopping me on the road. It was a big issue because no one told me about timing, tey kept giving all sorts of excuses until starting up the car became a gamble.
It took a while sha, but I got reputable Passat mechanics at Gbagada who fixed both the oil pressure light and timing for me at the same time. They showed me that the Timing rail had broken (one red plastic under the chain that guides the chain. It looks like the white plastic your handle of your WC hooks into) Car became good as new, but all the trouble it took and the money i spent really pissed me off, so I sold it immediately. Lovely, excellent car, but I won't try it again.

I own an audi a6 2000 v6 quattro, av own it for more than two solid yrs now and its still in great shape. As for fuel consumption its efficient and the parts are cheap/readily available to buy. U get the parts at iyana-itire, its a lovely car anytime any day especially the ones with the quattro systems that gives the car extra weight,balance on top speed.

Lol. Your 2 current cars will struggle to get you a good condition Nigeria used 05 Corolla or Camry.

It's well. My advice is to see how you can sell the Audi, use money and fix the City.

Or sell them separately.

Your best bet is to put the Honda City car in good shape. Mechanical repairs and body work will exceed 65k.

You may not get good value in the swap deal.

Good evening Nairalanders,

I will like to swap my faulty Audi A6 2003 V6 engine and Honda City 2007 for a sound car. I do not wish to spend money on repairs but get them swapped for a good one.

The Faults

1. Audi A6 2003.
The Audi is not accelerating and Mechanics here seemed to be clueless about solution. Got a guy from Lagos to come work on the car but the Pandemic has prevented him from coming down. The car is in Kogi State.

2. Honda City 2007 (Manual Gear)
I got the car from my office on auction. However the car has been packed for a while as the organization has a flare for abandoning cars even if its a minor fault. Expert evaluation says mechanical repairs will cost 65k while there is also need to touch the body. Car is located in Lagos State.

Dear Nairalanders, please advise me if I can get a good deal on this or if you have cars you want to swap with drop them here.

The Audi A6 you must be talking about is a V6 3.0TFSI I guess. Well there is a an A6 with 2.0TFSI 4 cylinder engine that you find on A4 and Volkswagen passat also.
