Golan007:See, Elon Musk did what he was accused of. He was contacted by a reporter to get his own side of the story, he refused. He immediately went to Twitter to rant about the Democrats coming for him, this he did because he knew some followers can be very gullible. When the piece was published he came again to say he already said it would happen. His card was to play innocent and tag Dems as witch-hunt specialist. He was wrong. |
You see my brother, I have read with kin interest every response here on Nairaland. Unfortunately, Nairaland is not the place where you can get advice; this forum is becoming a shadow of it's former self. Anybody can post nonsense and nothing will happen. Back to your ordeal, it's unfortunate that you have to go through this kind of struggle in your marriage, but you must understand that sometimes it is better for these things to happen early in the marriage that when you must have grown old, and one woman will come and tell you that your children are not yours. If you're certain that she's absconded with another man, then you should be thankful and move on. Women these days, na God hand we all dey. |
Argentina is indeed a very beautiful country. I love everything about the country, except for the fact that poverty is still very high in Argentina. Give and take, I'll still love to spend cool 5 years there. |
Nobody should campaign for this man! He's just admitted to being a part of this whole cracks we've been experiencing in Nigeria. Such a bad example. |
Nice story and what a wonderful experience for your kids and hubby. I was wanting to hear you talk about Casa de Papa, if you no go there na heavy miss ooh! Cotonou is nice, and Benin Republic is a chilling Country. The people like you noted are friendly, but for the language difference, they hate it when they can't communicate effectively with others. That Alcoholic Wine for your Hubby, you said it was for Ginger That's normal - because even with the way you blanked out your faces, one could tell you're all beautiful, and what's beauty without the "Ginger" trips when on Holiday? I wonder.I spent some of my years as a teenager heading in Benin Republic visiting friends and family. I used to live in Okokomaiko, so that Igbo-elerin you have been mentioning is close to home. But my only sadness is how Nigeria is fast losing balance, because I could remember back in '04 before I left Lagos, a trip from Okokomaiko or Afromedia to Badagry was about N70 and the N100 to Ceme Border - it is really painful now that it involves some thousands. CFAs used to be CFA10,000 for NGN2000, you can all agree with me that Buhari and Emefiele have finished this country. It is a pity. All in all, you and your family had maximum fun on a budget trip, and it's a good experience for your kids also. I have been thinking about visiting my family in Benin for about a week now, and this your experience will further push me to set it in motion. Welcome back |
Nairaland itself is becoming more toxic than Nigeria itself. Imagine the unnecessary arguments because a leader has failed to build up some courage to address religious fanaticism and intolerance in our society. I pity for Nigeria, and most importantly, I pity the Youth of this country and generation...all of us na OWN GOAL. |
I hope he came with Tradermoni? |
Unfortunately, our President is the Chief law breaker. |
OyeofIkoTuN:Our current President is from Niger - no be today e start. |
sliksusan:@sliksusan can we talk? Sent you an email please |
slimmsyyetty:Sure. I won't make that kind of mistake |
fkj950ax:Nice piece, but I think you probably didn't read my statement correctly. I never said he called me, I wrote clearly that this young man tailed me to my office premises. 2. After my interview, except for those 7 people with me out of which I left with another elderly Reverend, nobody knew my Visa outcome. 3. I only told the others outside that I got it so as to lift some spirits...no hard feelings or me trying to change their perceptions...na to up tempo. 4. I am one person that naturally thinks 4 times ahead of others, so I am speaking from both what i saw with my eyes and what I was able to conclude on in that instance. 5. I am not using agents, I have never done that even at the beginning of the entire process and won't start now. My submission is, having people wait for 1 year to get appointments is sickening, especially when others are getting it illegally through the backdoor. See it whichever way you think is necessary, but I am telling you that somehow there is this principle of money for hand back for ground...the guy was well informed and there's no way you'll know that at Check-in. But in all things, Alhamdulillah |
Hungry no be better thing sha. |
This woman like Waka Waka sha! I saw her at the Russian Embassy here in Abuja 2 days ago |
He's running for President of Nigeria but his PR video started with displays of bridges constructed by others. Problem nor dey finish for this country. |
Dampops:@dampops I thank you very much for your valuable contribution as always. I am not using the guy, not at all. I would rather pay 67k ten times over to sum it up at 670k than pay 1M plus to any consular or their emissaries. I only wanted the house to know what my experience was and what I think could be a deliberate denials just so that some desperate people would have to pay that 1M for reversal. I calculated that amount by 30 denial a day to be 30M Naira - Hmmm! Who no go want that kind footballer salary? ![]() This also made me realize that all this interview dates you hear agents collecting money's for, how do they surface? Something is wrong somewhere. For Abuja here some people paid 1.5M for dates and got dates within a month, I know of one or two people like that. My fight is for them to stop painting us as fraudulent when they are our chiefs. |
BizErikah: No na me too I understand that's a no go area ![]() The good thing is that denial under section 214(b) means that I did not demonstrate that I have ties back home or reason enough to return home after my visit. But then how would they know? I have a house, 2 registered businesses here and one in the US...na wa! But then it is also stated on the greenish paper that I can reapply at anytime. If I wish, I would by next week. I no dey pay anybody shishi though. |
puffmama:I am not that desperate. Moreover, I attended that interview because I had already made payments for the Visa last year. But my worry is that, I was the first person the guy attended to, I was wearing all white native attaire and I obviously stood out. I walked pass everybody and when they asked I told them I was successful...but to my greatest shock bobo tailed me to my office premises and just blew me off with reversal. Check am na! How him take know when even security dey congratulate me. Meanwhile he was no where near because there was no way he could be inside and I couldn't have seen him. The coincidence for me is too confident of itself. |
uchetobi:Not to worry, I am not doing what he asked, but I just pointed out a possible fraud from where we thought it's impossible. Moreover, he told me payment is after I get the Visa. |
starrez:When I read this link below sometimes last month or so ago I decided to take them up on Twitter, no be small thing. I was fighting both PayPal, Stripe and the US Embassy at the same time. I asked them to explain to me in simple terms why they first collect a nonrefundable fee of 67,200 and they issue days at their own discretion? Our discussion didn't last long before Twitter gave me the highest blocking ever ![]() I had to return to my primary other handle tto be able to use Twitter again. They know, they know, they're making money, and like I said, there are things he told me that I don't want to disclose. Remember, he asked me to go and update my application, pay the fee and just show up that it would be done at consular level. https://saharareporters.com/2021/07/15/us-embassy-syndicate-sells-visa-interview-dates-n600000-nigerians-appointments-fill-till |
So guys here's the kicker. A guy tailed me from the Embassy to my office (about 7 mins walk from the Embassy). Note that when leaving the Embassy I told them I was successful, just to not make anybody feel uneasy with their interview, after all we all may never see each other again. Just as I was about to enter my office premises the guy met me and greeted me. "Good morning sir" I noticed your application was denied, we can help you reverse it." I was shocked so I asked a few questions - to sum the whole story he told me I needed to pay another MRV and update my profile and leave the rest for them. He also guaranteed me that I didn't need to pay any money until the Visa is out in 5 - 10 days. Points to Note: I think the Embassy is deliberately denying qualified applicants Visas, after which they'll send some of their emissaries to try to convince you about the possibility of reversing their own decision(s). The guy told me to pay for the new MRV and 1M to the consular and then 100k to him for his trouble. There are other things I can't state here though because I don't know who is who, but today, I see clearly why people tell lies when they're going for any class of Visa - when does telling the truth ever helps anybody? Ask yourself how a whole American Embassy go come out to admit that their interview systems had been hijacked by Visa Agents. Omo, everybody dey corrupt for this country sha! |
Dampops:I don't really understand what follow up really means, but I applied for the normal B1/B2 visa last June and my date was today I am not at all sad about the outcome of the interview though, just a little bit disappointed because this might obviously affect my tax payment that is due this April,15. But it's all good. |
Good morning Guys! I was at the Embassy this morning and got a refusal. It was a pretty straightforward interview. VO: Passport Please Me: Hands him my Passport VO: What are you going to do in the US? Me: Business, I explained further VO: Several clicks on the keyboard, sorry according to section b214 you're not eligible to be giving a US Visa at this time. Hands over a green paper which reads that I could reapply at anytime. My disappointment is the fact that the man didn't even check my documents neither did he try to ask me relevant questions about the said business. I have a registered company in the US with Employer Identification Number (EIN). |
ozymes:Nope it's at DHL, I heard it's at Zone 3, Wuse, Abuja. I was there this morning. |
Newsolutions:Thanks a lot for the information, I appreciate it. |
Good afternoon Gurus, I really appreciate all the work you put in to the group. Please guys, I need a final run through of the required documents I need to go to the Embassy with for my B1/B2 Visa Interview in 3 day time... don't want to leave anything to chance with these agents. I just printed both my DS 160 Confirmation, Appointment Confirmation, printed my 6 months Account Statement (80 Pages ).10 months of wait is almost over and I hope for a favorable response. More suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks all |
HajiaRai:Wow! Thanks a lot I really appreciate your response. And yes I have also checked to confirm the dates on USTravelDocs. I appreciate your time and response. God bless you! |
Hello guys, my interview was supposed to be on Monday 4th April, 2022 but the Embassy just emailed this to be that it rescheduled to on the 7th. I just want to confirm if it is normal? Thanks
|
That's normal - because even with the way you blanked out your faces, one could tell you're all beautiful, and what's beauty without the "Ginger" trips when on Holiday? I wonder.
