It is high time we gave another definition to the term "education". To some people, education borders on going to school, acquiring degrees and working for a company to earn a salary at the end of the month. My dear readers, education goes beyond acquiring certificate, "we must redefine education".... Education teaches you about how to *make rules*, *break rules*, and *challenge an ongoing trend*, school teaches you about how to *follow rules*, *live by the rules*, and *live an ongoing trend unchallenged*, thereby limiting that power of creativity in you. Have you witnessed a scenario whereby you asked a lecturer about how he arrived at a certain formula, and he tells you _"that is how it is done"_?, and mind you, if you do anything contrary...you FAIL his exam, therefore you must follow the rules. A truly educated man is he who has developed the faculties of his mind to follow his passion, find solutions where there are problems without following the rules, but creates his own ways through his deep imagination to achieve his dreams. Checkout most of the world's richest people today, they are mostly school dropouts. Do you think they are not educated because they are school dropouts? Far from it! They are really educated in their own ways, they simply decided to build their own dreams rather than allow themselves to be hired by other people to build theirs. So many people spend their precious years in school only to end up acquiring *certificate* NOT *education*. Examples of these people include: 1) People who don't practise what they learn in school before graduation. As a student of Business Administration, how many businesses have you started? How many times have you experienced failure in business, and rise again? So, are you putting what you are learning in school into practice? The school will not give or teach you these orientation but education will. 2)People who have no SKILLS... successful people don't depend on the government of their country to provide jobs for them. A truly educated person has skills, an uneducated fellow can only boast of his certificate without any skills to back it up. True education lies in the ability to solve problems with the skills you possess.... what are you waiting for? *STAND UP NOW,* do not *procrastinate*, learn a skill you are passionate about. What am I advocating? This writeup is not in anyway articulated to undermine the importance of schooling...Going to school is very important but our mindset about school is what we are advised to change. *TRUE EDUCATION PREPARES YOU TO SURVIVE WITHOUT YOUR CERTIFICATE*. Ikechukwu Iwezor has been arraigned for duping a blogger, Ola Akinlayo, of N1.7M on popular Nigerian social-forum, Nairaland. According to a police officer, Iwezor, 28, met Akinlayo on Nairaland in September 2015, and began discussing on web designing. Upon a business agreement, Akinlayo paid the sum of one-point-seven million after which Iwezor ran away to Abuja. Efforts to get the website proved futile and when Akinlayo felt it was beginning to look like fraud, he asked for his money back which was ignored, prompting Akinlayo to report the matter to the police. Iwezor was later arrested in Abuja. The arresting officer, Sergeant Innocent Odugbo, charged Iwezor with three counts of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretense and stealing which were punishable under sections 409, 312 (2) and 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Danielle Abbe, counsel for Iwezor urged the court to grant his client bail on liberal terms, as he was innocent until proved guilty. Presiding magistrate, Mrs. F.F. Georg granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000, with two sureties in like sum. *Section 327 of the Nigerian Criminal Code states that ‘Any person who attempts to kill himself is guilty of a misdemeanour and liable to imprisonment for 1 year’.* Thenetng has confirmed that a Nigerian music promoter Tunji Balogun who allegedly attempted to take his life last week, could be prosecuted. On Thursday April 28, 2016, Tunji ‘Teebillz’ Balogun husband of pop star, Tiwa Savage attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the Ikoyi-Lekki bridge in Lagos. This was shortly after his rant on social media about how unhappy he has been in his marriage. Here’s what the law says about suicide. Section 327 of the Nigerian Criminal Code states that ‘Any person who attempts to kill himself is guilty of a misdemeanour and liable to imprisonment for 1 year’. Several lawyers tell Nigerian Entertainment Today that the law has never really been enforced – it is possible there’s no record that anyone has ever been convicted. A Lagos lawyer told us: ‘such cases are usually handled by medical personnel who assess the mental state of the individual and try to offer treatment for depression and other mental disorders.’ Teebillz may however get a pass on his alleged use of cocaine. Lawyers who spoke to our correspondent says, ‘most legal systems focus on possession or possession with the intention to distribute. So it would be more defamatory than actionable for someone to make such accusations in the media since he who alleges must prove’. source http://www.thenet.ng/2016/05/tiwa-savages-hubby-could-spend-1-year-in-jail-for-suicide-attempt/

Chioma Umunna, a 19year old girl who came down to Nigeria from her base in Canada to spend her holidays has been confirmed as among the over 200 Biafrans massacred by Fulani Boko Haram terrorists in Enugu yesterday. It is on record that during the early hours of yesterday, Boko Haram terrorists who work directly with Fulani herdsmen invaded several communities in Enugu State yesterday and slaughtered not less than 200 civilians while several homes and church buildings were burnt down into ashes. Hundreds of other survivors who are critically injured have continued to die in their numbers as death toll is rapidly rising. An account by an eye witness has revealed that the terrorists carry out their attacks in a highly coordinated form. A top source has also revealed that those who carry out these attacks are trained Boko Haram terrorists from Northern Nigeria. They execute their attacks based on the informations made available to them by the Hausa/Fulani herdsmen and residents who have been living in the host communities. The source also disclosed that these terrorists are being imported from Adamawa, Katsina, Nasarawa and ither core Northern parts of Nigeria by their Jihadist kinsmen who are hell bent on taking control and thetotal Islamisation of several parts of Biafra land including Enugu and Port-Harcourt. After carrying these attacks successfully, they're transported back to their dungeon with the help of some security agencies who are working undercover for them. This makes it hard to trace and arrest these terrorists and their sponsors. Biafrans have been warned to be on a security alert as these infidels have started executing their master-plan as earlier predicted by Nnamdi Kanu. source www..com/talk/topic,289307.0.html
