I am flattered by the kind words and salutations, okikiosibodu. Though I fear cannot take any of the well-meaning credit. There are quite a good number of folks who have far more knowledge and wisdom on boerboel and dog matters than I can ever lay claim to. And they live and walk among us. 

Point of correction though......I am not a breeder......a lot of people believe I am but I am simply just a boerboel enthusiast and dog lover.

Hello and thank you rumenase for the mention. I only just got to know about Ramkat's demise yesterday through a friend over the phone and decided to confirm it online. Funny how things pass you by when you are not looking. 

A sad loss indeed. Ramkat the legend, the father of my boy and my all time favourite boerboel in the world bar none. It came as a shock to me but I was not overly surprised. Born 2008 and lived till 2018, Ramkat truly did well.....paid his dues and made his mark thus leaving a profound legacy in the boerboel world and giving black boerboel lovers like me (and literally all other boerboel dogmen) something to talk about for years to come. Truly impressive. Only one word best describes him.....Legend. He will be sorely missed by all. 

Through it all, I am happy to have come across such a fine boerboel specimen in his lifetime and really grateful, if not lucky to have been able to acquire one of his offspring. I mean, after a two year period on the waiting list to get a pup from Ramkat, it was very well worth the wait and my boy really makes me proud. Very lovable yet dutiful lad and almost a physical carbon copy of his dad, I could not have possibly asked for more in him.

A Polish politician of Nigerian descent, Hon. John Godson, has lamented after losing 17 Boer goats and 3 Boerboel Dogs to poisoning. The former and first black lawmaker in Poland who is the Founder and CEO of Pilgrim Ranch in Umuahia, Abia state - revealed that an investigation is underway to uncover those behind the poisoning as he lost over 15 million naira in the process.

Below is what he shared on his social media page;

I am sad to inform that at the Pilgrim Ranch we have lost 17 Boer goats and 3 Boerboel Dogs to poisoning. The dead goats include our premier stud buck- King George while the Dogs include Blacky, Cherry and Clara. We are presently conducting investigations to find out who is behind this dastardly sabotage.

The total loss in monetary terms is more than 15 million naira. Despite these setbacks, we will always be thankful to God and we are pressing on with the vision of establishing one of the best ranches in this part of Africa.

A very sad development indeed. His black boerboel, Blacky, was one of the black pups from our very last litter at Regal Boerboels. He was growing and developing quite nicely and we were looking forward to seeing him grow to full adulthood. He would have made a very fine boerboel specimen. Hon. John Godson was really fond of the dog. Really sad indeed.

Here's hoping the perpetrators of this wicked act are eventually caught and dealt with accordingly.

Yes, it has really been a while. I have had to go underground for quite a bit to be able to focus on the pressures of work and life.

Thank you for the compliments on the pups and for the prayers as well. As of today, all the pups have now been settled in new and loving homes and I am extremely proud of and overjoyed with the quality of the homes and owners with whom we were able to settle each pup. Truly, they are all in great homes, surrounded by special and loving owners and living the kind of lives I had hoped and envisioned for them.....in fact even surpassing my expectations. Really, I do not think I could have asked for more for the pups and I can now rest easy knowing that they are all in good hands.

It is indeed a pleasure. 

Among a few other callers, someone whom I suspected to be the lady friend you spoke of yesterday contacted me today regarding the last male pup. But incidentally, while we were still going over the details of the pup, a previous caller came through with a payment transfer for the pup, thus clinching it. I had to break the news to the lady, and I could feel her disappointment. However, if indeed she is the person you spoke of, then I just want to thank you for keeping your word to send her our way. I really appreciate it. 

An interesting story you shared via the link. The plight of our local dogs is truly an unfortunate one, how they turned out to be despised by most Nigerians. It is true that they are very intelligent and also healthwise they are very hardy. Plus, their natural dedication and loyalty is just excellent. And these are qualities that folks who never owned a local dog can never understand nor appreciate.  I remember while growing up, we had lots of local dogs....in fact, it was from them that I developed a deep love and understanding of dogs. Interestingly, I had decided sometime ago that I would also go and get me a local dog for keeps as a pet and companion. And I had resolved that I would train this dog so well and thoroughly, even much more than any of my boerboels.....and that it would be a dog that I would take with me everywhere I need to walk to in my area at any time. The ultimate goal is to make it a dog that is so unassuming that anyone would take it for granted on seeing it, yet so well trained in obedience and protection that people would not realize that it is as lethal as it is friendly.....until they rub me the wrong way. And I plan to feed with the same expensive foreign and strictly dog foods that I feed the boerboels to see just how wonderfully it could turn out. Believe me,  I fully intend to follow through with this plan sometime in the not too distant future. 

However though, not withstanding the empathy I have for local dogs, I simply cannot allow any strays near my dog or home. Just because they are impervious to most canine diseases does not mean they have not been exposed to them....a good number of them, though healthy are carriers of diseases you do not want your foreign breeds exposed to.

All in all, it would really be nice to see our Nigerian local dogs regain their lost glory and widely accorded the same level of love and attention that are shown to the foreign breeds.

You are a real dog person , I have a deep passion for dogs and pets generally and have never sold any of my dogs, instead I give them out to people I am sure would care for them as I do.

But if I was to sell any of them then surely i would creat a thread as similar as possible to this one as what I am most concerned most is to ensure the pups are well cared for.

It is true that I really love dogs and I understand a great deal about them, so I tend to bond very well and very easily with them.

Keeping a dog is a very huge responsibility and raising a stable dog should be every dog owner's ultimate goal. Unfortunately, in these parts of the world, so many people have no clue what it takes to properly raise a dog or to train it up the way they want it to be. It breaks my heart every time I see a badly kept dog or one that is living a life unworthy of a dog thanks to its owner. Sadly, there are many such dogs in our country with really bad owners. It is for this reason that I am very particular about where and to whom my pups go and I make it a duty to the pups to keep them for as long as it takes to find perfect homes for them.

It is heartwarming to come across other genuine dog lovers who really care about their dogs / pups such as yourself and for whom it is not about making monetary gains. Well done and keep up the good work.

Interesting viewpoint you expressed there. While it holds true that brevity is good in advertising, that assertion is not universal in all cases. 

Experience and observation have shown that when it comes to pups / dogs (among few others things), the folks who "endure" and engage in much talk eventually make better purchasing choices and decisions.....and they ultimately go on to make better dog owners than most. 

The parents' photos and other details would be made available to the special persons as they reveal themselves.

You've taken pet advertisement/marketing to a whole new realm.
As a matter of policy, i only keep Caucasian Shepherds.. but these Boerboels look so premium that i'm strongly inclined to reconsider my CO only policy.
But do you have equally pedigree black females?
One more thing, Are you a backyard breeder (no pun intended) or do you own and operate a full-fledged dog farm/kennel?
Cause i feel most people do dog breeding as a secondary source of income and probably have other vocations they are into.

I am a brother, and thank you so much for the kind words. They are really encouraging and much appreciated. 

Well, what can I say? The whole point of advertising is to reach out to and capture your target audience out of a broad spectrum of customers. I am very particular about the kind of homes I would wish our pups to be raised in, hence the need to be thorough. My aim is to see that each pup gets a home I would ultimately be proud of, otherwise my marketing pitch would have failed it's purpose and I in turn would have failed the pups. 

You are always welcome to join the boerboel family. The breed is such a wonderful one, better experienced firsthand than told of. 

Yes, we had pedigree black female pups with this litter, but they have all been sold.

Finally, though many who know me would disagree, I do not consider myself a breeder. And I am certainly not a backyard breeder. I am simply a dog lover and a boerboel enthusiast who is fortunate enough to own a couple of good boerboel dogs. And even though I have enriched myself with the knowledge, ethics and best practices of responsible breeders / breeding, my passion lies in raising, training and getting the best out of MY dogs themselves. I do not breed my dogs often (total of one bitch once a year or once in two years) and even when I do breed my bitches, it is usually for very different reasons from most folks.......and certainly not as a secondary source of income. Incidentally, this litter of pups looks to be the last litter we would be producing, having just bred their mother (the last of our bitches) for the very first time at almost 3 years of age.

Again, I do not run a kennel, much less a full-fledged one. I am just a private person living with his dogs. However, I run a kennel name (Regal Boerboels) for the benefit of such folks who, with our pups desire / deserve to see continuity in the tradition of registering and preserving the pedigrees of our pups and their lines as well as providing them a platform / identity from which they could have their pups appraised when they come of age.

The pups whose photos are shared above are pedigree boerboel pups out of the breeding combination of two of our dogs Spitsvuur Marvin and Regal Merlyn.

Spitsvuur Marvin is a black son of the combination Spitsvuur Ramkat and Mes Madison.

Regal Merlyn is a black daughter of the combination of Egoli Madala and Spitsvuur Maneta.  

Between Marvin and Merlyn (and their above named parents), we have such boerboel greats up their pedigree as Cabaret Pavarotti, Mighty Bugatti, Kleinsandfontein Benji, Nostras Tyson, Spitsvuur Mandaat, Sumsare Frisco, Cabaret Straat-kat, Spitsvuur Don, Spitsvuur Netso.....just to mention a few.

And out of a litter of 8 beautiful boerboel pups, all black in colour, we are down to the last 2 males and searching for 2 special people / families as the perfect homes in which to put them.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PUPS

As already stated above, both pups are males and are black in colour. They are pedigree dogs with a long line of superb ancestor boerboels up their pedigree. 

The pups are currently 9 weeks old....the very best time to introduce pups to their new homes and the photos of them shared were taken yesterday morning.

Both pups are well fed and in perfect health, having been on only the best of the best in premium quality pup feed and undergo weekly veterinary checkups.

Both pups are very well made, structurally sound with very very good features, fluid movement and very lovely, inquisitive and lively temperaments. They are also very active.  

The scrotum sacs of both pups are fully descended.

Both pups have taken their first vaccination shots and have been dewormed. 

Both pups have also been microchipped. 

Both pups show potential to be outstanding boerboel specimens if fed right and socialized and exercised properly. 

As with most black dogs, these pups when fully grown would have such a mien as to easily scare off most strangers / intruders simply by virtue of their appearance and without even having to do anything. 

Last but not the least, these pups are truly special and need equally special and dedicated owners to bring out the very best in them.
