okikiosibodu:Hello okikiosibodu. I apologize for the late acknowledgment as I am only just seeing your comment. Thank you for the kind words. I am happy you enjoyed reading my posts and moreso that you learn from my comments. It is my hope that someday in the nearest future, all dogs in our Canine community would to be regarded, appreciated and treated as the best friends they are. Again, thank you. |
For the life of me I cannot understand why they need to meet in New York to discuss the progress and affairs of their state. Has anyone ever heard anything like community leaders / stakeholders from London meeting in Lagos, or Abuja or the like to discuss the affairs of their city? Nigerians never fail to amaze for odd reasons. |
Classic FFK....brash for no good reason, but in the end he still misses the entire point of Reno's assertion. Meanwhile, those two are busy exchanging words over what Zuckerberg said, whereas Zuckerberg has long since moved on from that chapter. Probably does not even remember when he said that or why he said it. And certainly does not even know who those two are. |
Total bunch of... I do not even know what to call them. |
Edunews:Undeniably a good legal analysis which was put forward. But also besides the point which should really be looked into. Forget the legal technicalities and look at the entire incident from a moral standpoint. The real issue and question should be "Should the name given to a dog be sufficient reason to constitute a breach of public peace or lead to ethnic / religious violence?". Absolutely not. One may be surprised to discover that the alternative scenario illustrated by the author may not lead to breakdown of law and order as he may expect. There are a great many people who live by higher moral values and levels of maturity to know when and when not to dissipate good energy on needless violence. |
The Nigerian Police Force never makes any sense. Always full of contradictions. Man names and brands his dog, the police arrests him and tags him a "suspect". After treating the "suspect" like a criminal for 3 days, the police release him after brokering a peace deal and signing of undertakings between the "suspect" and the complainant and his "sympathizers". "Sympathizers" THREATEN TO KILL the "suspect" afterwards, the police "pacifies" them by re-arresting the "suspect". The "suspect" is subsequently charged to court, the police say the action was taken to save his life. Where is the sense in any of this? |
StOla:An appalling load of crock which leaves one to wonder at the kind of mind that would spew forth such. Expressing unfounded opinions as to motives and characterizations of individuals one has never met on a personal note. Launching into a tirade over the events of Nigerian history that are totally unrelated and in absolutely no way similar to the matter at hand. Then chest beating over the Hausa / Fulani disregard for the value and sanctity of human life like it is something to be proud of. And all of this over what? The name given to a dog ? Only narrow-minded folks make issues out of mundane things like the name given to a dog. People who need to learn that whatever name you give a dog or anything for that matter has absolutely no bearing on whosoever wherever he / she may be that bears the same name.Truth be told, it is people like this who are responsible for the myriad of problems bedeviling Nigeria. People who cannot rise above thinking along the lines of Afonja, Ipob, Herdsmen, Ijaw, Christian, Muslim and all the other delineating identities and sentiments to see every citizen equally as Nigerian. |
The Nigerian Police Force is always quick to expose and shame "suspects" (real and imagined) with full photos, often taken while stripped of clothing. So why then are they hiding the faces of these 3 confirmed and convicted perverts in their own ranks after what they did to the poor girl? |
engrrichie92:It is great that you want to do something nice for your nephew and we all want to be that special aunt or uncle, but in my opinion a laptop as a gift for an 8 year old kid in this country seems a bit overboard. Besides, for your stated budget, you would most likely get something that would be eventually be a waste. Why not get him something befitting his age that is actually fun and educative at the same time and from which he could benefit mentally from for the birthday gift and then let him earn the laptop with good grades at school or some other deserving accomplishment that would teach him the value of hard / smart work? As it is, most of our kids are getting spoiled rather early, all in the name of getting them something nice as gifts. |
Jonarinho:Hello Jonarinho. Positive suggestions? It does not get better than this..... If you do not know the breed, then do not buy. If you are in any doubt as to the breed, do not buy. If you are in doubt as to the age, still do not buy. Be sure you know everything about what you want before you go for it. |
FvckeDyoBiTch:If you knew anything,........anything at all about sustained armed conflict, you would have had the common sense to refrain from posting such a narrow minded comment. The only "disgraceful" thing here is the ease with which you employ technology at your fingertips to gleefully display your ignorance. |
comeandmarry:I am guessing you are just about as intelligent, innovative and brain-cracking as the white folks you so revere. So let us see that which you have invented or discovered. At the very least, a practical problem which you have innovatively solved. Or perhaps you are just talented at having nothing good or constructive to say. |
Probably uninsured. Worth crying over. OR Probably not his and he drove it without permission. Equally worth crying over. |
There is no sense in all nonsense. This is both true and false. All nonsense make no sense but there's always sense in nonsense. |
amstamon:On seeing this, I got LOST in thought. Then I FOUND MYSELF looking for your pun. Apparently, your's got DROWNED in this vast OCEAN of puns. |
I was so friggin broke I couldn't even pay attention. |
Rapmoney:This is clearly a photoshopped image. Cleverly done but still photoshopped all the same. I am really amazed that so many folks here fell for this. |
Gabby91:Hello Gabby91. Kindly send an email to regalboerboels@yahoo.com and let us see what we can do about your dog's problem. Cheers. |

MizMyColi:First off, it is commendable that you agree enough to admit that the OP's girlfriend was wrong in making the statement, but then trying to rationalize as a way of justifying it is just wrong on so many levels. Granted, during the heat of argument, words are said by couples that they did not mean and cannot take back. But you have to agree that even in those situations, many of the things said are but a true reflection of what each person really feels inside, albeit voiced with no restraint. Within that context, there are some words that are simply unforgivable. Try to imagine being told that you are being "managed" by someone you presume to be in a serious relationship with. Take a moment. Then tell me if there is any rationalization or justification that can ever make things right with you afterwards. And even if there is a remote possibility that those words were not meant, it takes great maturity to refrain from using words such as those of the OP's girlfriend that pierce a person's ego / self esteem in the heat of an argument. |
eiBADAn:Your thread says "You stopped caring for her...." and here you are saying you don't know what to do / how to dump her without hassles. For someone who says he stopped caring, dumping should about be the easiest thing to do. From all your descriptions of this girl on your thread, do you really need someone to tell you that she's not the type you need in your life? |
ecstazhy:Hello ecstazhy. The behaviour you describe in your pup seems pretty normal for a 9 week old pup that suddenly finds itself a new environment, in this case, your home. Your pup needs time to adjust to his new surroundings and family. And whether or not he is a truly shy / timid dog, fortunately for you he is still at an age phase where he can be helped. You have between now and the time he turns 16 weeks to build his confidence. Not that it would be impossible to achieve this after 16 weeks but it would be much more difficult to do so as pups are more receptive and adapt easiest to stimuli between 12 to 16 weeks of age. It is also within this time frame that they are easiest to train. Here are a few steps you could follow. Spend a lot of time with your pup, either playing with him or just having him around you as you go about your daily routine / chores at home (this should also apply to every member of your household which your pup is expected to regard as family). Allow him to roam free most of the time. Do not chain or isolate him. Do not, under any circumstance beat or scold him harshly as this could aggravate the problem and possibly break his spirit, which is something you absolutely do not want to happen. Rather if you feel the need to correct any erring behaviour on his part, a firm "No" would suffice and should be consistent for all corrections. Or you could redirect his attention from any activity which may be undesirable / destructive. Do not physically force him to do anything you want him to do if he feels uncomfortable with it. Rather, let him grow into it at his own pace and time. You could seek gentle but firm ways to communicate whatever it is you need him to do without being harsh or forceful, however consistency is key. You, and all members of your household must show your pup love at all times to earn his trust and build his confidence and by extention his loyalty. Offer him lots of treats as you interact with him and also when he does something which you require him to do. Also, make a habit of offering him treats whenever you call him and he comes to you, or petting him playfully then or if he comes to you of his own volition (this would in turn lead him to associate social interaction with you and your household as a positive experience. You may also wish to extend this to a select few close friends and relatives whenever they visit, but be sure to discontinue or reduce it (ie the friends / relatives treats) once he turns 16 weeks old, so he does not become overly friendly with just anyone. For his eating habits, develop a regular feeding schedule with fixed food rations (3 meals a day). Allow a time frame of 10 - 15 minutes for him to finish his meal, after which you should immediately take away any leftovers or the entire meal if it is untouched until the next meal time. This would imbibe food discipline in him. When he is truly hungry, he would eat without prompting. If however he consistently refuses to eat his food or finish it for, say 2 straight days, then contact your vet and have him observe the dog for any health issues. I would suggest you take these steps seriously and religiously within this time frame to get maximum success as a shy / timid dog is not fun to have around. All the best. |
Hello Mccarthyal. Wow! Snape is really looking good. I really am impressed, as I still remember vividly how she was when you posted the first photos of her months ago. Congratulations and kudos for a very good job. I can see she is in good hands. Well done and keep it up. |
Looks interesting, and it is just around the corner. I would try my best to be there. Thank you for the heads up @blasiangurl85. |
You look like an Ibo boy! Since when did guys start opening threads like this? Depressing. |
Nerressa:Understand the context of my earlier post. Unless it is a case of rape, then the "No" option may not be feasible. No reference to abortion (or it's justification) there. |
Nerressa:It takes two to make an unwanted baby. Women have the higher prerogative to say "No". Unless it is a case of rape.... |
RichYoungNigga:Well, if you actually do perform the abortions for that number of girls, then you are no better than they are. |
wink2015:Do you even know what a gigolo is? |
Silly snake with a lack of foresight. Did not look before leaping. If only it made sure it was in such a place where it could make a clean getaway or hideout after swallowing the goat......... And so now it has met it's waterloo. Soon to be eaten itself. |
