AutoChick4U: You can be a mobile barber in school and also indulge in crypto as well. I do crypto already... But I want to go into development. Like creating building payment systems for crypto, smart contracts, nfts etc |

lafiagi007: Its a decision you'll live to be happy about making, but just know that journey to the world of software engineering is not the same thing as Yahoo Yahoo, it takes a lot of time, it's mentally demanding and tasking. Money dey blockchain oo my guy, cool money, you may not get a job as fast as you may anticipate but the moment you get it, you and bank manager na the same salary una go dey collect . What am I saying focus on building yourself throughout the journey and leave out the journey and don't of overwhelm yourself with how much you can make. Thanks. You a dev. too? |

Skyfornia: How can you work for 15hrs daily and make only 40k monthly? Are you cutting your customers hair for free?
The cheapest haircut anywhere in Nigeria currently is N400, if you cut 10 people in a day..that's 4k. Working 15hrs...you must cut more than 10 hairs unless you are idle in most of the hours.
For fvck's sake don't close the barbershop. If there's free time within the 15hrs, use it to do other things or get barbers to assist you while you engage in a supplementary source of income, but ensure you stay at the shop and monitor your business. Don't leave or lease your shop to anyone... It isn't my shop boss |

Thanks again. ClixMaster: Oh, OK. Learn a skill and make sure you are good at it. No harm is giving forex a trial though but avoid greed. |

ClixMaster: You are still young. Instead of shutting down the barbing saloon totally. Find a barber and put there and reason out how to share the profit. Go into learning programming and forget forex for now.
If I had this opportunity when I was at your age, I wouldn't be in this country and stage now. No I don't own the place.. I have a boss and several colleagues. One of them left last week; He made a bag off forex trading but I no dey interested |

Hi Thank you for opening this post. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated! I am barber, just turned 19 few weeks ago and I am supposed to start my uni education tomorrow but that is not the problem.
I earned upwards of 40... Maybe 60k most of which I aid my siblings with. But it's too demanding, like 14 or 15 hours a day everyday. And I have some skill trading forex but I don't do it now.
Right now I want to drop barbing and possibly school to learn blockchain development. My mom will prolly take me for deliverance. Lol. I am buying a laptop tomorrow. Already dropped social media, right now its just Reddit and NL.
I am greatly worried about my future and tired of living inna trap.
I remember learning about Bitcoin like 7 years ago but couldn't get in till this year.
My parents can give moral advice but I need you on this one. Thanks

Prostituting dey blah blah dot blahblah... Anyone can build that with Magento or opencart or PrestaShop. *Facepalm* this guy... |
Programming › Re: Discover How To Be A Blockchain Developer & Blockchain Engineer by Lorex6: 3:54pm On Oct 18, 2021 |
Boss, can I pm you? ezechidera: You may be a Software developer that can code in Java, Python, Go, C#, etc. You may even have experience in using Frameworks and Apis to provide solutions.
But guess what? There is a major shift in the tech space. The industry is changing at a rapid rate. With the sudden boom of Blockchain & Cryptocurrency, there is a huge demand for the development of Blockchain applications, Not just outside Africa, but in Nigeria.
Venture capital investors and Angel investors are on the lookout for startups that rely on blockchain in developing their business solutions. That is why Bitmama, the only blockchain-backed startup in Nigeria closed a funding of $350k.
The highest-paid software developers are the blockchain Engineers and Developers. The least blockchain developer, that is junior developers earn $96,000 per year. imagine what a senior developer earns.
Nigeria is known for cheap labour, that is why most remote tech companies from the USA, UK, Germany, etc outsource their work to software developers at a cheaper rate.
I am a Blockchain developer working for a remote tech company in the USA. I am paid $8,000 per month as a senior developer. Not only that, I do free-lance that earns me $20k, some go as high as $50k.
In Lagos currently, Some of my colleague that works in Bitmama earns as little as N200k per month
The Demand is High. There are few developers in this space.
Even if you are already a developer, You can find yourself a good tutor and gradually upgrade. So that in less than 6 months, you should be able to start a project effectively.
There is huge Money to be Made in Tech especially if you work for Remote Tech Companies all from your house.
Have a Good day. |
