Hahahaha... I lost about 6k+ in Stanbic Imaan (500k) when I first deposited(494k reflected in my portfolio) .... after that days trading it yielded about 19k .... effectively balancing it (512k) Lost more in equity same 500k investment and 493k reflected....I haven't gotten back to 500k yet... In cowrywise.....I experienced same with Afrivest.....the funds land incomplete Lol Batman2412: So I decided to donate 100k to cowrywise equity on 17th February 2026. It was posted immediately and before you could say agbalumo, I already lost 612 bucks. @ 21.68% oh. So let's see how long it will take for the 100k to finish. Invest in equity with only money you can afford to lose |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by LoriHamo: 12:00pm On Feb 19 |
I did both apps inside the bank with customer care.....it's very easy with GTbank....the funds reflects IMMEDIATELY... I do not blame that guy that spoke about losing money because of delays.... Smattrader: Via App or Web? Provide what you used, pls
Did you go to their office to register with Stanbic? |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by LoriHamo: 11:56am On Feb 19 |
I didn't see equity listed in quantum zenith bros... Please help me I saw ... balanced, ESG, fixed and mmf... Point me to the right direction please Smattrader: Well, I just subscribed to their Equity just now and from my experience so far with them, they have been quite good. In fact, they called me the first day I registered with them to see if I needed anything or help.
What issue are you having with them? |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by LoriHamo: 3:27pm On Feb 18 |
Just wow....I do not know why people are not talking about Gtbank equity.....like....it's has been so FAR so GOOD... Ensol: What is Zrosk management fee, GT equity returned for me ₦10,343,514.87 on Feb 9 to ₦11,803,114.95 yesterday, United cap equity ain’t doing well just 336k on ₦5m from Monday to yesterday, dollar is really crashing but thinking of moving ₦5m into Zrost equity and test it’s growth |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by LoriHamo: 1:38pm On Feb 18 |
This is massive... I will wait till July EquityM: Cool. If you have huge funds, don't forget Zrosk if you don't mind the management fees. Have made 1.6M on my 10.2M capital in just 3 weeks. |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by LoriHamo: 1:37pm On Feb 18 |
This is huge....I was have funds by July ending pending TBilss maturity Salarys: Impressive |
Investment › Re: Equity Investment. by LoriHamo: 1:36pm On Feb 18 |
Me sef no understand o o.... There was a day I was really hopeful....ómó na 0.001% increase I later see at the end of that days trading.... Salarys: Nope, my yearly target is 50%. They did that comfortably last year and were even ahead of CS.
Any other addition is a welcome bonus.
Reason I've not left Afrinvest despite trailing behind the Zeniths of the moment.
I just wonder because when I expect the fund to do really well after keeping an eye on the day's trade, it doesn't. But when I'm not expectant, I get a shocker. |

Stanbic is the biggest assest managers so far....I did withdrawal from my MMF to fund equity in SAME... Stanbic I did that on Wednesday.....and got value into my wallet by weekend.... loosing valuable trading days and yields 😎😎😎 But Cardinal and cowrywise was faster..... Someone suggested I use WEB any other time I want to withdraw..... that it's same day value Smattrader: I want to go into Stanbic can you share the issue you had with them during your liquidation, what really happened and, what fund/investment ( equity or ?) you were referring to. Asking this question because I am curious and I have been hearing about how solid their liquidity is. |
Investment › Re: Mutual Funds by LoriHamo: 11:16am On Feb 18 |
Bluearrow: I don't think it is a wise decision putting all that amount in Stanbic. He should put part in cardinal stone, cardinal stone is big too. I doubt if Stanbic liquidity is more than that of cardinal stone. I always advise people, once your money is more than 50m, use more than one fund manager. Any day Stanbic encounter downtime & he needs quick access to cash, he will be stranded ontop 1.4b.

I rebased my portfolio last week.... Cardinal stone and Truastbanc(cowrywise) really surprised me... withdrawal was swift.... But you see Gtbank and Stanbic....I was forced to send mail walahi..... Smattrader: I have learned a great lesson that, in any investment, your greatest loss or failure isn't always about losing money ( most probably at least the pegged +/-10 by Sec) but having your fund trapped or entangled with a manager with a frustrating and paper liquidation procedure.
Liquidation flexibility is as critical as your investment or capital.....this is why and will always respect CARDINAL STONE. |

Good morning chief.... I checked out the Zenith ESG....I think it has low liquidity..... getting out may be a bit difficult....aside their usual 180 days minimum holding period... with 10% penalty for early withdrawal.... EquityM: Based on their current YTD at the moment.
Quantum Zenith Balanced Fund 51k: Returns 58k+ (topped up first week of Feb with 40k; I had 11k last December)
Quantum Zenith ESG 25500k capital: Returns 29k+. Started last week Tuesday. |

I was disappointed....and with the new cowrywise update....it was difficult to get the true picture of afrinvest trading today... But I gained in Cardinal stone and Gtbank... Better to use more than one fund manager mbok.... If all my funds were in Afrinvest....I for dey weep now... because what the hell....today was good.... I gained about €18 on top 300k.... meaning just #6 per 100k... hahahaha... In all....I am grateful it wasn't a RED....let me manage my #18 naira like that édákán Uberchic1: wow 2.06! That's amazing. Afrinvest moved up only 0.01% so I'm guessing it's not invested much in the stocks that did great today. |

Thanks chief....the zcrest app? EquityM: UCAP is not doing well; Zenith or Zedcrest should be your targets now. 1/2 equity fund managers are okay as you want to grow your funds rapidly. My 2 cents: if you have 100k, split it into half and use it for the equity fund managers you decide to go with. |

Chaiiii this comment enter me o o o....I was only trying to point out that the "equity" thread would have gotten more input so we can all learn that this particular thread that talks mostly about Money Market... No vex boss.... I do know that they are all mutual funds.... My apologies ègbón Harddiskng: I trade stocks myself, I have like 6 months experience and I am still learning my YTD is 16%.
Someone please tell me how experienced investment managers of Stanbic IBTC are doing 10% YTD
All Stanbic’s returns across different investments lines are getting really really ridiculous
Equity fund is a type of “Mutual fund” incase you don’t know.
Read the topic of this trend. You have now learnt something new today. |

Zenith bank? What's the app name please... Good morning boss mî EquityM: If you have some extra cash, port in to the Zenith ESG fund. It is currently at 22.09, currently ahead of Zrosk, CardinalStone, and others. |

One other thing....I think market was slow yesterday shaaaa....based on my earnings from three other equity manager compared to Wednesday earnings... Why are you not asking about this in the EQUITY group though... Good morning boss Harddiskng: It is like Stanbic and gross underperformance are 5 & 6 now.
Why on earth is their Equity fund doing 10% YTD
People keeping money with Stanbic obviously have nothing better to do with it |
