There are things people say that sounds logical but it’s not true. For instance; read the reason cowrywise gave for merging rates. Does it sound logical? Yes. Is it true? No.

You can apply this same framework to those saying that risk is same across all fund managers. They are nothing but referral crumb hunters.

Take a trip to stanbic head office and the office of some of the fund managers being promoted here. Then tell me which you would rather invest your life savings with.

Forget finance jargon, if Firm A has over 1 Trillion AUM and has been around for 30+ years, and Firm B has 1 Billion and has being around for 5 years, which would you rather stake your life savings on?

If you were SEC, which of the two firms would you rather put under more scrutiny? The firm with 1 trillion or the one with 1 billion? Especially considering that you aren’t omnipotent and your job is to protect public interest.

What’s the “so what” if a firm violates SECs trust and does agro business with your funds? Will SEC kill them? Worst case, they’d pay fines and someone may do some jail time (unlikely). Remember, your money is gone.

You think stanbic does not like high rates? Ask your self, how is someone else offering you 20% in same economy while the more experienced manager is giving you 15%? Could one of them be taking more risk? All money market investments are transparent. There is no information asymmetry.

Ask your self, if the guy offering you 20% is much more brilliant than the others, how come their operations and processes are subpar compared to the one offering you lower rates?

Some things are just intuitive and some people are just being obtuse

And their rate is higher as well...

I usually go to their app everyday to check their rate and the merged funds rate and laugh out loud..


The hustle for investor's money is real.

So now you will choose according to your risk appetite, it's a ploy by cowrywise to systematically sell their own MMF product because theirs is number one on the page and they didn't merge their own with anyone.

Your observation is correct.

However, Nearly all big names are currently gaining in the Stock market now, from MTN to Dangote Cement to GTCO and the likes.

Like I said in my video, the reason big names are driving this rally regardless of sector is because pension fund are still buying.

That's a lot of money getting into the market and Pension fund institutional investors are after big names stock (huge market cap + liquidity)

That's why is what Is currently happening.

I will suggest everyone to get on board because, they will be more buying after CBN cut MPR rate.

5 whole days... that's a lot of trading days lost...

Somehow as how? If you're not comfortable with the wide margin, you can do Paramount instead. They're at 29.91% ytd and the margin is not too wide from the others. Zedcrest, according to their fund fact sheet, invests 50% of investors' funds in the services sector and that sector is what is apparently driving the ngx right now since December. @Beeron, pls shed more light on this if you can.

I used zedcrest for mmf only when they first launched but their equity fund started in December last year. Don't remember much of the sign up process but it was smooth. As long as you update a very recent bill and the address on the bill matches the address you signed up with, verification should take a few days max.

The fund itself, redemption is immediate. If you redeem before 3 months, they debit their 20% charge. But you get your money in your wallet immediately. Withdrawal from wallet into bank acct is also fast. 1 hour max.

It only topped 500k yesterday (Thursday 19/02) after trading please...

There was no RED since Tuesday but marginal GREEN.....2k, 3k.... It did 10k yesterday and balanced up...

Let me use my self as example.....

I funded both Imaan (500k) and Equity(500k) on Friday evening......

Imaan reflected on Monday with shortage 0f 6k which after that days trading....it gained around 19k....

Equity reflected on TUESDAY with shortage of 7k.....

it took longer for my equity funds to reflect, I even vex send them mail join...

Please, I subscribed to Stanbic Equity Yesterday but till this moment I have not seen any balance or equity investment activities on my portfolio. Anybody who's into them should kindly enlighten on how their system works, why my Equity fund investment isn't showing any activities or movement.

My gain on Tuesday alone in Gtbank swallowed the two days loss of Wednesday and Thursday.....

So I decided to donate 100k to cowrywise equity on 17th February 2026. It was posted immediately and before you could say agbalumo, I already lost 612 bucks. @ 21.68% oh. So let's see how long it will take for the 100k to finish. Invest in equity with only money you can afford to lose

I did both apps inside the bank with customer care.....it's very easy with GTbank....the funds reflects IMMEDIATELY...

I do not blame that guy that spoke about losing money because of delays....

Well, I just subscribed to their Equity just now and from my experience so far with them, they have been quite good. In fact, they called me the first day I registered with them to see if I needed anything or help.

What issue are you having with them?

What is Zrosk management fee, GT equity returned for me ₦10,343,514.87 on Feb 9 to ₦11,803,114.95 yesterday, United cap equity ain’t doing well just 336k on ₦5m from Monday to yesterday, dollar is really crashing but thinking of moving ₦5m into Zrost equity and test it’s growth

Any other addition is a welcome bonus.

Reason I've not left Afrinvest despite trailing behind the Zeniths of the moment.

I just wonder because when I expect the fund to do really well after keeping an eye on the day's trade, it doesn't. But when I'm not expectant, I get a shocker.

Using more than one fund managers is the game changer for me o...GTbank equity was beautiful yesterday....I got flat on Afrinvest(it's wasn't RED)... got RED on Cardinal stone....
