The only smartphones that fit this our generation are Samsungs and Iphones. Honestly speaking, If you are not using any of these brands, you are yet to experience what a real smartphone feels like.

And for the fans of transsion mobiles, I sincerely pity your ignorance. I can't say the same to xiomi fans though.
grin I don't know what to say to you. Some people can't just get out of their enclosed systematic way of thinking, guy broaden your horizons. Everything isn't about that apple logo.
PhonesRe: Why Do We Have So Much Broke And Frustrated Guys On This Section? by Lovepeacetrust: 9:46pm On Jan 24, 2021
Me I'll tell you the truth, I feel you should know any phone from late 2020 to the newly released ones this year would serve you really well.

You didn't specify what your priorities were in a phone, you just said best phone you could buy with 500k, the word 'best' is subjective, people would recommend different things to you.

I don't know what you need in a phone, maybe the best performance or the best camera experience. But with all these I feel you were just trying to create some kind of argument with Apple and Samsung prior to the releasing of their latest flagships.

Metrobox/Metroexchange, please resolve your logistics challenges asap. A good name and integrity in business is extremely important. Some of us are watching things keenly and looking at the complaints of others and how you quickly sort them out will determine if we do business with you.
Exactly, I've just been hoping people that gave bad reviews would come back to testify good news, but I guess the customer service isn't properly managed. I really need to place an order but I'm still watching them patiently.

PhonesUse Your Brand In Peace! by Lovepeacetrust(op): 11:49am On Nov 06, 2020
It's a constant battle in using a transsion device, with the few tech informed individuals left in Nigeria. I wouldn't condemn this company because they've strategized on how to penetrate the African market.

Think of it as tech colonization, these guys came to Africa to set up their base and market, do you think they just chose Africa randomly, they knew we are the only place they can successfully sell their products to,they knew what average africans do with their phones and it doesn't pass basic functions like calls, text, listening to music, browsing the web, using social media etc, that's why they cut their cost in producing these phones and make good profit in selling them, because most people are of the illusion that their devices are cheap, they already know that if they can set up here, allow their spare parts to be widely available and even build customer services (Carlcare) they'd win our loyalty, and it's true because that's why some people are still using the brand not that it's bad to use their devices.

Everyone is loyal to a brand just ask the Apple and Samsung fans. You see how Apple mainly dominates in the Usa that's how it is with transsion devices in Africa, almost everyone loves Apple over there, just like apple has its stores and customer services, tecno, infinix and itel have theirs, everything just falls back to brand loyalty but there's one thing, we Africans choose not to be tech-informed and that's why we don't care when buying these devices since they actually perform the basic tasks people need in daily activities. They buy them because the phone does what they want. People's usage and purpose with phones differ.

All in all, let people use their devices in peace, if you see that brother or sister buying his/her infinix or itel, let them enjoy their devices.
If you see that brother/sister spending so much money on other brands, don't think of it as wastage, it's probably because the phone does what they want. Don't hate on anybody because of the brand they use.

Some people don't just want to be tech liberated even when you try to enlighten them which is totally fine, let everyone enjoy their devices in peace.

In that case,I'm buying the lumia 950xl.
I would totally still buy this phone in 2020/2021 for one reason, the camera, it's really awesome tbh as I'm more concerned with the camera department of a phone, but in terms of using a windows phone, it's a no in this present age because windows update and support has been withdrawn from their phones, some apps to have done theirs, you can't use this phone as a daily driver. I would buy it to serve me as a super affordable dslr phone camera, not a phone all round.

There is a blue moon today/tomorrow.

A blue moon is when we experience another full moon within the same month.

Also, for planet watchers.

Right now, Mars is still very traceable as it is near the moon. It has been very visible for some time now. I believe it is very close to us as I could see it during early sunset.

Also Jupiter and Saturn are very observable right now. If the moon is at the east, trace both giants at the west. Jupiter which is bigger and nearer is the brighter one, Saturn is further. If you have a pair of binoculars you could easily see them.

cry I don't have binoculars, is there any other way I might observe?

I personally opt to stay clear of these 2nd hand phones. Unless I'm buying it directly from the person who has been using it and I know him and trust him. Otherwise most of these refurbished phones come with issues like unofficial software, poor battery, replaced screens that aren't as durable as the original... Etc.
I'd advise anyone to just buy the latest midrange phone. After all the performance is usually just about the same. The main advantage of the old flagships is that they usually have very good camera and their screens are high quality display like Oled, Amoled...with features like high refresh rate, 2K resolution.
Yeah bro I get your point, but if you know where to look you can get really good refurbished phones even new ones on AliExpress, and the refurbished ones looks new and are functional..

For instance my older cousin came to me about last year and said she wanted to change her phone from the iPhone 6 to 7 simply because her friends were intimidating her with their iPhone 7, I had to convince her to buy the refurbished Lg G7 on AliExpress which was way cheaper and trust me I had to do a lot of convincing, she got the phone, I installed gcam for her and she's been thanking me ever since grin, honestly the phone was really dope, looks good as new and works good as new too, even now she tells me her friends are lowkey jealous she switched to Android that was much better than their iPhone.

Exactly, I am currently using an LG G7+ thinQ, I bought from Aliexpress for #97000 including delivery, it's better than all those yeye techno phones and the likes, it uses Gorilla glass 5 front and back, IP68 water resistant ratings, Snapdragon 845 SOC, I am wondering why many Nigerians don't go for it and other Older flagship phones, but it occurred to me that most Nigerians aren't tech informed and it's sad
Honestly the misinformation about tech is sad, but if they're happy with their device it's good enough for them...

Extremely great choice with the Lg G7, that phone is marvellous!

Bro did you get the G7 new or refurbished cuz the refurbished on AliExpress sells for around 55k excluding shipping.

Bro my argument was never about it looking clean, somebody can manage a phone well for a year that doesn't stop the phone from being a year old.

The last time I saw the Mi mix 2s on jumia it was almost 100k for the 6/64 variant; I'll obviously not buy a 64gb vairant of a phone that doesn't have an m.card slot.

I hope you understand that on eBay you're dealing with individuals that want to sell off their products so you can't really be sure of the state of the phone
And what if the phone is a year old does it stop it from being fully functional??

There are always reviews about the store you're buying from on eBay, you can always check.

And please check jumia again, I still checked it just now and it's about 84k.

Anyways whatever rocks your boat sir

Oga, some older flagship phone cameras do not offer portrait mode.

Some of their cameras lack depth sensors.

Some of their designs fail to capture the evolving techs around smartphone design. One can spot you are holding an old phone from afar.

Some of them are shit with those annoying large bezels.

Some of them are Dual cores sef.

I can go on and on.
Bro you certainly don't know what you're talking about, It seems you don't know the kind of phones I'm talking about, I'm talking of 2017-2018 flagship devices.. they usually don't have anything less than octa-core CPU's

Where did you see huge bezels on lg G7, v30, v40, Huawei mate 10, xiaomi mi mix 2S

See as you carry portrait mode like say na one exclusive feature, all these phones offer portrait mode and if you aren't content, you can download gcam which makes the already good cameras even much more better, the pixel 2 xl only has a single lens and it performs better than all these high praised quad cameras of the new budget devices.

As per design, that's what luring most people, cuz of punch hole camera design and stuff, if you're all about design you can go for the newer budget ones to suit you, the older flagships aren't ugly either.
PhonesRe: Older Flagships Or New Budget Phones? by Lovepeacetrust(op): 1:10pm On Oct 25, 2020

When you say their prices are about the same you're referring to second hand devices that might have been used for up to 2 years and might have gone through some repairs not forgetting that the battery would probably be in bad shape, that's really not worth risking 100k on.
Brother man like I said if you know where to look you'd get the mi mix 2s for about the same price as the note 9S, the new one sells for about 84k on jumia although it's shipped from abroad, so you're gonna have to pay for shipping..

Trust me if you look well on eBay, you'd get a very clean looking and very well functional mi mix 2S for a cheaper price even if it's used

Elxandre:
I'm always baffled.
LG V50 and LG G8 are just last year devices but you could get them for practically the same price as midrange Xiaomis and the likes.

These phones are monsters but people don't even see them, they just want the newest shiniest hardware even when it matters not much.
Android since Android 9 has very little in terms of improvement and you'd hardly notice you aren't on the latest Android.

Its funny because we buy intel core i7 6th generation processor computers happily but when it comes to mobiles, we complain about a year old device.
Bro you get the gist joor cool
