Every dog has its unique quality and every human acquiring them has he's own preference. A family friend had problems with robbers entering into his compound and resorted to getting dogs. He imported three GSDs and one imported Cauc (pure breeds of course) as his wife is an Hungarian. When I visited him and asked why he loved the Cauc so much, he told me that the thieves had visited several times again even after acquiring the dogs. He said that when the thieves start shooting it is always only the Cauc that stands ready to die rather than let anybody into the compound while the GSDs look for the safest hiding place. This is a true story and really prompted my choice of acquiring Caucs for myself.
The truth is that most Caucs in Nigeria and mutts. A pure breed Cauc is extremely dangerous and does not attack to injure or threaten but to kill.. My male Cauc for example was called a wimpy kid even at 10 months. I got angry and sent him for aggressive training. During the training, rather than bark like other dogs do when charged, he would rather pounce and aim for the taunter's throat. The training had to be discontinued as it posed a risk to the trainers. Today, he's aggression is terrible - only to strangers of course. However, he's intelligent can be likened to a GSD's. The truth is if you have a real pure breed Cauc, you have to be extremely careful as the victim of an attack might not leave to tell the story. Other dogs kill preys and keep for their masters. Any time I wake up in the morning with blood all over my compound, the prey is in the stomach of my Cauc. I tried rescuing a dove that my Cauc caught one day and that was when I knew that these dogs have their animal instinct that you cannot take away from them. I had to, for my own safety allow the poor bird to be devoured. He had he's punished though - a full day being locked up in his house which is disliked.

Stancrus, the big one is the male (16 months) and the small one is the female (10 weeks). Both excellent dogs. Vigilant, intelligent and really beautiful in real life. If you see them in real life you won't want any other dog but Caucs. The smaller one is exceptional though - I must say.

Good to hear from you Bobby. My wife extends her regards. All my dogs are always lean and never over weight. It keeps them agile. Also, I always ensure that my dogs that are not adults are either locked in their house or chained before any car moves in my compound. That man's carelessness is unacceptable. Listen, there has been a story of a man that mistakenly climbed his child while reversing his car. I am glad you like how the pup is looking. The snout and paws tell the entire story - the pup is one of a kind. I have bought two Caucs from Jos, but I can say that when I patronized Ibadan, I got one heck of a quality. Please continue doing the good work and ensure that you do not compromise quality.

When I saw the advert: "U Will Shout HALLELUYAH Wen U See The Female Caucasian Puppies...for Sale" on nairaland, I was extremely inquisitive but ignored the advert. I later checked out the pups and the person that placed the advert - Bobbysaxy. The pups were excellent. Less than a week later, I lost my 7 months old female Cauc which was a blow to my family and I. Finally got in touch with Bobbysaxy on the remaining pup of that advert and he told me I would thank him when I receive the pup if I bought her. My family and friends were wowed by the pup when it arrived - super excellent Cauc. I quickly put a call across to him to thank him. I don't think I shouted Hallelujah though! That's meant to be an Heavenly language.

Anyway, your GSD is really cute. Keep up the good work.

Just bought the one on the right from Bobby and was delivered to me at Enugu. It really had everyone that saw her shouting hallelujah. The pup is just awesome. Keep it up Bobby.

I own two Caucasians, the older a male that will be 14 months by the end of December and a female that will be 6 months by the end of December. The male was too gentle for our liking, although I always told my wife to be patient with him. I eventually sent him for obedience and aggressive training. The training began when he was about nine months which coincided with the time I got the female. I cannot tell what actually transformed the dog in terms of being aggressive: whether the aggressive training; the presence of a companion that was female or if 10 months was the time that he was destined to be transformed into a proper aggressive Caucasian. Well, right now, we dare not leave him unchained or not locked up if a visitor is coming into my house as he has attempted to attack visitors until I grabbed him on more than one occasion. He is however extremely sweet and gentle with all in the house and family members alike. I agree that not being aggressive is a true fault of every Caucasian as the young female is already extremely vocal. In terms of feeding, the male does not like eating and only eats when he is very hungry unlike the female that is an ever willing eater. They both however do not joke with meat. Apart from routine vaccinations and de-worming every two, I have never had cause to say my dogs are sick or called the vet, apart from the one time after the aggressive training for the male which the vet attributed to stress on the dog as a result of the training - the aggressive training was really horrible!
Caucasians are truly beautiful dogs to have. See some pixes.

Guys what do you think of this my 13 months old male Caucasian. He was very quite until he go to about 8 months. Right now, he does not want to see any visitors. I quite agree that they are extremely territorial. When we go for walks, he doesn't bark at people but with the confines of my compound, he lets you know no body except family is accepted.

I love the Port Harcourt dog breeders forum. I actually stay in Enugu but hope to bring my Caucasian pups to Port when the time comes. See pix of my 13 months old male. I'll add more pixes of the male and the young female of about 4 months later.
