@ mimmzfz11, the price of dogs vary. It depends on what you request for. Most sellers on Nairaland are usually fair in their pricies. Of course, if parents are imported, they become much more expensive as well as if the breeder is well known. A very good Cauc pup (not fantastic) should go for between 100K and 160K on average. Like I said, it depends on the seller, the quality of the pup and Ur negotiating power.

@ Uchecho. Thanx. She did not come cheap though, as I know Ur quality pup from Tox didn't come cheap either. It took me over one year search in Jos to get her. It was well worth the wait.

Please do take wonderful care of your super Cauc pup. Routine vaccinations, nutrition, hygiene, de-ticking e.t.c and I know that you won't regret getting her.

@ BekBek. Thanx for Ur compliment on my new pup. The truth be told, the pup is just awesome when U see her in real life. U only see that quality when you import. I'll call myself an upcoming breeder (just 2 females and a male for now) and I plan to concentrate only of Caucasian Shepherd.

On importing, I'll suggest you do your search/research online for reputable breeders for the kind of breed that you want. It will help if you let the house know the breed that you are interested in. It will definitely be cheaper to import by yourself. Otherwise, you can contact people in this forum like Jado, Bsquared, Petlove and Bobbysaxy, just to mention a few.

My sincere advise is, you can do it yourself.

We are expecting Bibbysaxy's hallelujah pup (Nala) to come on heat soon. That female is just massive. Difficult to differentiate her from a male.

You can get a reputable breeder abroad if you wish to import or get in touch with some of our guys in this forum who have imported several dogs. But really, it is not cheap to import.

I can assure you that we still have quality dogs here in Nigeria. The secret is patience and finding a very reputable breeder that can tell the truth (at least 90% trust worthy). Trust me, getting a trust worthy breeder with 90% truth is not easy to get. I stand corrected!!!

@ BekBek. Both parents of Stdney were imported as pups. The owner is a wealthy Dog lover in Jos. A lot of Nigerians resort to importing dogs these days just to be sure of the quality that they are getting. However, Sydney shows that we do not need to spend that much money to import just to get a quality that can rival any dog.

U are absolutely right @ Princeberg. Sydney is just out of this world. Nala is also extremely awesome.

@ miremoses, this is not my male Kovu. This is a friends male. The guy is not in the country at the moment and his wife is really finding it difficult handling the three dogs, hence he is up for sale. I actually advised against selling him but they have made up their mind. The dog's size is actually awesome and the dog is lovely to behold. Breeding stock.

The truth is that there is no dog that cannot be handled with proper attention.

Not cheap though.

He is about 1 year and 6 months.
Has never been used for crossing.
Massive size.
Extremely aggressive and as such is actually recommended for experienced owners who require a real security dog and can handle dogs with dominant traits

Note: the fur is virtually small because he was shaved cos of the extreme heat at the moment.

I have personally spoken with Bobby on this matter and my conclusion is that there is more to this matter than meets the eyes. We can all come here and contribute but I think its just a case of misunderstanding from both parties which I believe in future can be sorted out without having to resort to posting online.

To all breeders in this house, I will like to say though, that a buy back possibility/policy should be part of our package when selling.

I have had two people that I recommended to Bobbysaxy that on arrival of the pups rejected their pups for reasons best known to them and Bobbysaxy received and replaced the pups (Ibadan to Enugu) and they were happy, so I don't know why this was different, (maybe the manner of approach of the customer - just guessing). Listen, I am not exonerating Bobby in this matter.

For me, though, Bobby is a gentleman that may have his short comings like everyone of us. I also feel the customer went too far to give out the pup for free. This is his hard earned 120K and he has the right to decide what to do with it, but I know he also took that decision in annoyance and I think with a little consultation from people he would have even been able to sell the pup for close to the amount he bought the pup, if not the exact amount or higher because the pup is definitely a quality pup

So to the customer: Please take it easy, make consultations before making major decisions and lets move on.

To Bobbysaxy: Customers are always right. We should always strive to please them - not some of them, but all of them.

Finally, as for delivery and quality of agreed product, I think Bobbysaxy is still top notch. Even the almighty Shadow the destroyer was sold by him.

It was really nice having christian over at my place.

Like I always say, Bobbysaxy's "Hallelujay puppy", 'Nala' is doing extremely well and I'm glad I got such quality pup from Bobby. Kovu was also gotten from a quality breeder in Jos and both Caucs really make me proud just like Christian as alluded to.

So watch out for pups from this combo in the near future.
