There's a coalition of the willing gathering (elsewhere) and if you honestly think you have a plan no matter how vaguely detailed, let's rub minds, the movement is on, believe it or not!

I still don't believe what I am reading, in this day and age?, in a civilized environment like UK?
You have said several times that you want "your relationship" to work. But the reality is that you have no relationship, by the time you realize this, you will either be 6 feet under or permanently disabled. I understand the need to show your gratitude to him, but allowing him to kill or maim you is not a way to show loyalty. Why not leave this abusive relationship, strike out on your own AND forgive him. Later in life, when levels have changed considerably, you guys can talk things out. But as things stand right now, you have no level, no standpoint from which you can talk to him in a way he will hear.
Let me tell you another secret about we men WE RESPECT ACTION! If you keep talking to him from now till eternity, he will not hear. But call the cops for instance, or leave him and start on your own and he will get the message.
The Bible says what can a man give in exchange of his soul? The answer is nothing, but in your case it seems like he has bought your soul with a UK visa, its time to get your soul back!

Why should she tell her off?  Is she no longer "smart enough to make her own decisions?" LOL , and trust me she is smartest girl I have met in a long while!   
And I started this thread because I was bored nothing more, nothing less, and as I was thinking of what to write, I felt I should just write my experience, and the best things in life sometimes occur when you least expect them 
I was a faithful Nairalander when it first started but then I realized people use it to test their abusive skills and the whole thing just look childish to me and I left. (I am back because I am missing home and wants to see what people are up to  ) Network forum like this are meant to do just that - build your network, not pick a fight with someone you may never even meet! There are enough successful love stories that start from online gaming community, blogs, forums etc. I don't see why NL can't be one of them

So seriously you (Naija girls) have a lot of things going for you, manners, beauty, correct cooking etc, but also you should add to that frankness (no hard -to- get runs) and great sex (from experience it is 90% communication/feedback and 10% action ) and every other thing shall be added unto you.

For me, it depends on which of my friends have a reservation. I have some friends I take their advise very seriously because they have been right in the past and I have been dead wrong, so if they say "don't", truth is, I won't. Its all a matter of trust and historical precedent.
And yes, you ladies, if you think a guy will leave his friends because of you then please wake up, it wont happen, we men are not just made that way. So my advise is that you accept this as an inexorable fact and play your cards appropriately. If you play your cards well, you will win, trust me!
