The due date (21st of April) finally arrived to print our call up letters, admist confusion and tension PCM's were unable to print out their call-up letters only to be informed 24hours later by NYSC that not all corp members were in stream 1; and that 27th of April was scheduled for stream 1 corps members and 21st of May was slated for stream 2 corps members.
Most Prospective corp members got an unusual message, 'because you are not in stream 1, you will be notified when to print your call-up letter'. Others got the message 'you are to print your call up letter for the 13th to 21st of may 2016'. In other words 21st of may was the new date slated for Batch A stream 2 corp members, that is; one month after Batch A stream 1 printed their call-up letters. Yet again stream 2 PCM's waited patiently.

Few days ago stream 1 passed out from camp and the due date for printing call up letter for stream 2 arrived (13th of May), NYSC sent random messages to some corps members informing them to start printing on the 14th of May, and few minutes later were resent a message 'sorry, you cannot print your call-up letter, you will be informed when to print your letters in due course'.
No formal update has since been published by NYSC on their site to explain the reasons for the unusual procastinations, corp members who haven't gotten messages have since been in denial by NYSC. On the 14th there was an update on NYSC social media account notifying us our letters will be ready later that day but yet again it was another empty promise. This is 16th of may and there is still no press release or official statement by NYSC for us to go ahead and print our call-up letters.
NYSC has denied rumours of postponement but rumours reaching batch A stream 2 corp members is that Batch A stream 2 is now Batch B to leave in July or November which will be 5-9months after we are supposed to be in camp for the scheme.
NB: We have patiently waited for NYSC till date, some of us since 2014. We are unable to get decent Jobs to sustain ourselves and our families or further our studies because we do not have NYSC dispatch certificates, youths have been forced to stay idle, wasting precious time waiting for the scheme, so many resigned from their petty jobs all because we were eager to serve our fatherland.

unfortunately ma people daudae1 is correct. d bombshell has been dropped. I called d Enugu state Secretariat, d lady dat picked said we are going to get an SMS soon. I wasn't satisfied with d response so I called Rivers state secretariat. I was blunt with d question I asked dis tym around, I said "ma, we have been hearing rumours dat only those dat choose d IDP states will be deployed for stream 2 is it tru? as I awaited her response, my heart pounded so fast dat it could burst if little pressure is applied to it. her reply" yes its tru. non of dem were deployed to those areas during d first stream, so dey are d only ones dat will be deployed dis tym around. u guys will receive a msg soon and u'l no wen u will go for service in dat msg.
conclusion: its gud to have hope, but its also gud to prepare for d worst. am planning how to adjust my life now in dat direction.

guy I have always respected ur views and opinion but wot u just said its far out of line. naija info is d number one news station in Nigeria. its all about news and sports. dey are d owners of cool FM, wazobia fm, cool tv, and wazobia TV all in d same complex. their OAP's are one of d highest paid in Nigeria. u can ask freeze who works for cool FM, darey art alade who was an OAP in their sister station, Dotun who is married to Dbanj's sister, yaw who rose to fame and is now an ambasador to Mtn began wen he got a job in dat complex as an OAP and d famous Dan foster who changed d face of radio broadcasting in Nigeria began from dir. even d founder of d first sport radio station in Africa, Brila FM Larry Izamoje began as a freelance presenter from their studio in Etim iyang crescent Victoria island Lagos.
so they are by far one of d best media house in Nigeria and their info is always second to non.

hi my esteemed villagers, just called d Lagos station of Nigerian info FM and i spoke to d OAP live in d studio. I informed her of d rumours flicking around d uncertainty of 2016 batchA stream2 and if dey had actually put a call across to d DG of Nysc. she asked me wen were we suppose to receive our CUL nd I told her 13th. she however adviced dt 13th was Friday and we should be patient till Monday and she will mk sure dey work on d issue by bringing our fears to d Nysc officials nd dat we should follow dir social media to see update.
my conclusion
*d call made to d DG was Propably done by their sister station either in pH or abuja. I will put a call across to dem for confirmation.

What made you sure?

I graduated from FUNAAB last year too . More than 30 of us (including me) in my department missed A16 in totality.After much stress and denials, We were told we were automatically Batch B and those who had issues with some courses that were later rectified are already done with camp while the rest of us are either waiting for Stream 2 or Batch B, and you are here calling FUNAAB well organized. Tell that to the outsiders please.
