on the 15th of December 2015, I went to an ATM to transfer money to a colleague's Firstbank account. as i finally clicked on the transfer button after providing all necessary information, i heard a beep on my phone notifying me that my account has been debited of the said sum. the final display from the ATM read "issuer or switch in-operative. up till date, no reversal has been made. i have been to the bank several times to lay my complaints but all i hear are apologies and assurances which obviously have become futile.
this gross incompetence can not be tolerated for a bank that prides herself as a leading financial institution in Nigeria. many have lost their hard earned income from such attitude that is unbecoming of most financial institution.
i beg the mods to please push this to front page so this will make other banks to sit up and be more efficient in carrying out their duties as it relates to customer's hard earned income especially in this era of economic hardship.
