I don't think our ancestors UNDERSTOOD nature per se. What they gave(the stories) are just the "logical" explanations of the phenomenon they observed. Not that they necessarily understood it.

For starters, follow this thread over the next 6 months, ask questions and use Google when you're not clear. There are quite a number of teachers here. Mcy56 has been a good and consistent one

There are tons of books on the internet available for you to read alongside.

When you feel you've gathered enough knowledge, open a stockbrocking account and start with little cash ( Shouldnt be more than 100k imo). You can gradually invest more money as time goes on.

Just read you question again and i just understood i didnt answer correctly.
No I dont use only recent S/R to trade.
Rather what I do is, I use previous/old and confirmed S/R.
I mark the previous/old and confirmed S/R and watch price reaction when it comes to the previous/old and confirmed S/R
If price comes to it and doesnt break it, its means we will be looking for a reversal trade.
But if it breaks it, then we will be looking for continuation trade.

As one of the oldies in the game i follow on instagram says..
To analyse your charts and make better decisions of what price might do next,
Always look to the left of your chart.
That is, analyse your charts based on what it did in the past.

Here is GBPCAD daily.
You will see the area i highlighted with black circles.
Those where previous resistance. It wouldnt be surprising if comes to it and decides to reverse.
If you draw horizontal line across that area, you will understand that area isnt a new resistance/support rather a continuation of the previous resistance/support area.
