*Entrepreneurs And Doing Business With Ease* Have you been hearing about ease of doing business and how Nigeria moved up 15 places and wondering what it means? This just means the FG has made doing business in Nigeria easier than some other countries and better than last year. I know a friend who just opened a salon and was complaining about funds. I told her all she had to do was package her business proposal well and approach her bank for a loan. Guess what, she did that, sold her bank on why her business requires a loan, met up with the requirement and now she's a successful business owner with 10 employees in her first year. The Central Bank of Nigeria has instructed all banks to maintain a minimum Loan-to-Deposit ratio of 65% by December 2019 or face the penalty. This means banks are looking for businesses to invest in before December. Why not move from a lower level economically to a higher level by walking confidently to your bank with your business proposal and get that loan today. |
Awesome!!! And a big thank you to this administration bring in the foreign investor for better of our economy |

How my agric business became billion naira venture ― Ex-militant Retson Tedheke, the ex-militant who became an agriculture entrepreneur has said that the worth of his farm business in Ga’ate, Nasarawa state is more than N1 billion, encouraging more Nigerians to invest in the sector. Mr Tedheke said he was surprised that many Nigerians find it difficult to believe that his 3,500 hectares farm business could be worth N1 billion after two years. He explained that he began the business through crowdfunding but has gone to source for funds through other mediums. He said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was being modest when he said his business was worth N1 billion, stressing that, it is actually worth more than that. He explained that Nigeria Farmers Group and Cooperation (NFGCS) was founded to help farmers secure funds and grow their business. “What VP Osinbajo said was that we are worth N1 billion today and I believe he undervalued our worth. We are currently sitting on 3,500hectares of land, with 500 cows and sheep. This is one of the single largest indigenous warehouse in the North Central with 30,000tons capacity,” he said. He said as at April, 2018 when audit was carried out, the business had done transactions worth over N1billion. “Our Banks are FCMB, Keystone, Access, Zenith, etc. We are preparing the audit for the AGM in December 2019 and we are sure our financials will be well over N2billion,” he said. He encouraged Nigerians to visit the farm and confirm if the Vice President was right to say the business is now worth N1billion. “What you have to do is visit the project site and confirm if Vice President Osinbajo was not telling the truth. We are just about one hour drive from Abuja.” He then went on to explain how they have managed to source for funds. “In 2018, we applied for N1.5billion under the CACs of the Central Bank of Nigeria and it was reduced to N1billion and later N720m. BORDER CLOSURE THE POSITIVES)The busiest land border in Nigeria, Seme has been closed. This brought a halt to several trades, both traders and workers who shuttle between Benin Republic and Nigeria were also affected. However, the border will remain shut for the next 28 days or more. This operation is focused on the prohibition of fraudulent exports of petroleum products and fight against importation through land borders of second-hand vehicles, food produce like rice and some other products. Rice is one of the major goods transported via these land borders and there has been alot of uproar by both the sellers and buyers of this farm produce. Despite the spate of criticism that have come as a result of the border closure, the Rice Processors Association of Nigeria (RIPAN) has come out to back the decision by the Federal Government to close the borders. This according to them would save the country about $400 million spent on smuggling rice into the country. The spokesman of Nigeria Customs Service, Mr Joseph Attah, described the exercise as a "joint operation aimed at checking the influx of smuggled goods, small arms and ammunition as well as illegal immigrants to Nigeria." This time, the Federal Government has deemed it necessary to act in order to boost local production of food items and manufactured goods, in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria, drew up a list of 41 items whose importation would no longer be welcomed in the country. Amidst persistent complaints from affected Nigerians, this is the most effective measure so far adopted in terms of curtailing the influx of smuggled rice and other goods into the country. The Comptroller General of the NCS, Col. Hameed Ali said the agency's revenue has risen to over N5 billion daily since the closure. Also more than 200 illegal immigrants were apprehended across the border and thousands of bags of rice and other contrabands confiscated. Since the closure of borders with Nigeria, Niger and Benin have reportedly banned the importation of rice to their country.
