Osinbajo says Boko Haram callous and irrational •Condoles with the family of Late CAN Chairman Nigeria's Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo SAN, on Tuesday sent his condolence message to the family of slain Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman in Michika, Adamawa, Reverend Lawan Andini, who was executed by the Boko- Haram terrorists alongside a soldier on Monday. Describing the killing of the cleric as 'senseless', the Vice - President said: "Words fail me as I share my heartfelt sympathy with the family of Rev. Lawal Andimi. The senseless killing of the bishop despite ongoing efforts to secure his freedom further reiterates the callous and irrational nature of the Boko Haram terrorists." "A true leader and pillar of his church and community, Revd. Andimi remains an inspiration to us all." Recall, a source revealed that the CAN chairman, Reverend Andimi was executed on Monday along with a soldier. Speaking, the Special Adviser to CAN President, Bayo Oladeji, said it is sad but true; adding “We are working on our response”. Until his death, the church leader served as the Local Council Chapter Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and also a pastor with the Church of the Brethren (EYN) at the District Church Council of Michika. Restating the commitment of the President to defeating the terrorist groups, Osinbajo assured that the government is working relentlessly towards a safer Nigeria. |

Osinbajo is really the man for 2023, let's have the patience till 2023 |
Police and Community policing really need to fill the gap of trust for better of our country

Mr man you cannot just conclude matters like that when you don't know the future is going to be so stop routing on the thing you don't about |
Osinbajo has mind it clear on the community policing as a national security strategy and informed to the citizen to bring in the trust gap between the police. It a good option. |

N-Power, TraderMoni : A Call. For Help I got familiar with the workings of the social investment schemes sometime in 2016 because my only brother was selected as an N-power beneficiary. Note that he had been a graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University for 4 years with nothing tangible to do aside occasionally getting involved in petty squabbles on our street, either about football or at the gin seller’s place (we lived in Alagbado then). If you came from a family of 7; 4 girls 1 boy, a late father and a struggling mother you would understand why his idleness must have been a source of great worry for us all. I don’t know who introduced him to the N-power program but they’ll forever be in my prayers. He was trained under the N-agro segment of the scheme, released in 2018, we rallied around for him and long story short Daniel now owns and operates his own fish farm in Sangotedo with over 3,000 fish (I would have uploaded pictures on here but he doesn’t want that). My brother’s success and my natural curiosity made me dig deeper and I found there were even other programs other than N-power like the one for petty traders called TraderMoni and another for farmers, FarmerMoni, lol. Also a couple of others like the one where school kids are fed daily (can’t recall the name). Sadly all I have heard in recent times about these schemes are complaints and lamentations, a couple of facebook posts from the new beneficiaries saying they’d not been paid, and this or that. My brother then helped me understand that the system had changed as the government had created a whole ministry to govern the affairs of these programs (they used to be run by VP Osinbajo’s office) which should actually have been a great news because it signifies hope for a lot of other ‘Daniels’ out there. However in a country like Nigeria, anything run under a Federal Ministry is mostly mismanaged and this is exactly what is becoming of the NSIP’s and it breaks my heart. Recently, there have been photos of school children eating lunch without meat or eggs, meals that look like remains from a privileged man’s table. When does impunity in my country stop? Who cursed us with incapable and selfish public office holders? I write this to admonish the government to audit and probe the affairs of that Ministry even if it’s new; it looks like one that’ll breed recklessness and corruption. A lot of innocent lives are at stake! |
What are they protesting for? We need peace please not this madness |
Even with all the explanation people don't understand what Osinbajo have being about this about this community policing

AKESANMARKETINFERNO: ADEKUNLE THANKS VP OSINBAJO, NEMA FOR PROMPT INTERVENTION. A former Member of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Prince Adetayo Adekunle, has appreciated the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo SAN, GCON, the Director General and the officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for their prompt response to the plights of traders at Akesan Market in Oyo area of Oyo State. Adekunle, who also served as the Oyo State Spokesperson of the Professor Yemi Osinbajo Support Group during the 2019 General Elections, made this assertion in a statement released in Ibadan. Following the Akesan Market inferno that occurred on Sunday, January 5, 2020, Adekunle reached out to the Office of the Vice President who is also the Chairman of the Board of the National Emergency Management Agency. From there, contact was established with the Director General of the agency who set necessary machineries in motion. Sequel to the modest intervention of Adekunle and the efforts of other relevant stakeholders, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) distributed relief materials comprising 1,000 Bags of Cement, 1,000 Bundles of Roofing Sheets, 200 packets of Zinc Nails as well as 100 Bags of 3" Nails to the victims of the unfortunate incident in Oyo Alaafin on Thursday, January 16, 2020. The symbolic presentation of the items to the people was performed by NEMA's Acting Director of Relief and Rehabilitation, Dr. Bandele Onimode on behalf of the agency's Director General in Kosobo, the headquarters of Oyo East Local Government Area. It is instructive to note that prior to the distribution of the relief materials in Oyo, Prince Adekunle had earlier received the NEMA team led by Dr. Onimode in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on the express instruction of the agency's Director General, Engr Mustapha Yunusa Maihaja. While appreciating NEMA's prompt response, Adekunle further called on other organizations and individuals who have promised to deliver on time to assuage the plights of the good people of Oyo. Signed: Hon. Prince Adetayo Adekunle Former Member, Nigerian Youth Parliament. Friday, January 17, 2020.
