It will thrive.

Does not like too much rainfall. The rainfall shld be moderate and it needs enough sunshine.
Okay , thanks.
However what I have noticed in Nigeria is that not a lot of people think of greenhouse farming. Places like Kenya have massive greenhouses that they use in cultivating vegetables and for commercial rose flower production.
In as much as it is expensive to construct a green house over 2-3hectares of land for vegetable farming, I think it has a lot of benefits for all sorts of vegetables to be grown all year round and therefore better productivity.
We are looking into setting up a moderate green house and then monitor production.

I would advise you not to grow tomatoes cos it does not like too much rainfall.

You can try out cucumber and others
How about watermelon will it thrive in Delta? Or is it affected by heavy rainfall too.

Hello crystalf, I have been following your thread, and am really interested in cultivating some vegetables including tomato. I want to ask, is it possible to grow tomato in Asaba all year round considering that Delta state does experience high rainfalls which I think is not conducive for tomatoes. What do you think.
NYSCRe: Corpers During Skill Acquisition & Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Lectures by MAAF: 12:25am On Nov 06, 2015

I doubt if you've served. Saed lectures are as boring as hell.

Imagine over 3000 tired persons cramped in one hot, stuffy hall, after doing parade and frog jumps since 4am. Only for one hungry looking dude to go on for 6hrs about how soap making turned him into a billionaire....
I served also, but the the fact the tutor is hungry looking doesn't mean he hasn't got anything meaningful to offer. The skills taught there may not make u a millionaire but it will sure sustain(if you do not sleep) till you get your dream job.

Tomorrow they will say they don't have job. That is the difference between us and developed countries, they believe in skills and not certificate, but we believe more in certificate than skills.

Your talking of western culture, dont forget this is Africa where we place high priority on marriage.
This is Africa where it is a taboo for a lady to go beyond 30yrs yet unmarried.
Alakija is the richest woman in southern hemisphere and i dont think she has a house in Banana Island
Remember Africa has misplaced priorities so what they most often prioritize sometimes doesnt make them better than others.
Tell me which country in Africa where not marrying by the age of 30yrs is a taboo or you just make things up as you go along.
Linda is a modern socialite, what we call new money, she is a social network person. She uses social media to communicate and reach out to fans. That Alakija does not show you her house in Banana Island doesnt mean she hasnt got one.
Common sence . Duh!

Why do I feel sad for her? Hmm she still looks lonely and the wealthier she becomes the more she thinks its about her wealth! Eya sorry! Tell her to love God!
She looks lonely to you cos she did not ask you for money, what are you trying to justify? If you think money does not buy happiness, then try poverty, TSK.
She is BALLING!!!

People like you are the reason why no woman should ever marry a Nigerian man. You lot are very shallow minded bigots with very low self esteem.
AgricultureRe: Large Acres Of Farm Lands For Sale in Edo State. by MAAF: 2:14pm On Oct 22, 2015
Do you have any farm land available for sale in Asaba say 5 hectares, where there is good underground water for borehole?
