Why has No any ape evolve to man again for the last hundred or thousand years. No fish evolve to bird? No lizard evolve to dog? |
Although I might not agree with Olaadegbu on all his assertions, I concur to the fact that he has provide more evidence to his claim than anybody on this thread. If I am to be a judge in a law court, he will be vindicated. He was just being attacked unnecessarily. |
popsonbabs:How much time was giving to Amodu? What evidence do you have that make you think Siasia will perform better? He doesn't learn from his past, mens dept:It is Amodu record that is speaking for him. |
When the manager is a poo, what do u expect. Siasia can not even know when he's winning a match. |
Siasia can not withstanding Amodu record when it comes to coaching. Amodu is his(Siasia) grandpa. Siasia only want cheap publicity when it is Kalika actually doing the job for him. Nigeria is being hunt by Amodu ghost. If care is not taking Nigeria will not qualify for WAFU cup next year except friendly match. POSTERITY is judging Nigeria and ingrate NFF. |
Syenite:Is that a dignity to you that Guinea score first and eventually draw a winning match? Or you think it an honor when Nigeria fail to qualify for common AFCON. Nigeria will be missing out of sixteen Nations from Africa and you don't think that is a shame. |
They should sack him ASAP. We cant continue to tolerate failure. |
You mean he has not been sacked? HE SHOULD BE SACKED then. |
PA1982 The Sun precedes the Earth by a long, long time, so this 'darkness' is a human construct, not factual. Were you there? Some scientists belief that earth is older than the sun since it had long ago cool off while the Sun is still burning, they belief that one day the Sun too will stop burning. To me Genesis account still sound logical and reasonable. I have seen a lot of science fictions movies on Discovery Channels trying to recreate the history of Dinosaur and the earth which to me is no more than watching Ben 10 animation. |
PA1982:(Genesis 1:1-2) In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of [the] watery deep; AS WITH other things that are misrepresented or misunderstood, the first chapter of the Bible deserves at least a fair hearing. The need is to investigate and determine whether it harmonizes with known facts, not to mold it to fit some theoretical framework. Also to be remembered, the Genesis account was not written to show the “how” of creation. Rather, it covers major events in a progressive way, describing what things were formed, the order in which they were formed and the time interval, or “day,” in which each first appeared. When examining the Genesis account, it is helpful to keep in mind that it approaches matters from the standpoint of people on earth. So it describes events as they would have been seen by human observers had they been present. This can be noted from its treatment of events on the fourth Genesis “day.” There the sun and moon are described as great luminaries in comparison to the stars. Yet many stars are far greater than our sun, and the moon is insignificant in comparison to them. But not to an earthly observer. So, as seen from the earth, the sun appears to be a ‘greater light that rules the day’ and the moon a ‘lesser light that dominates the night.’—Genesis 1:14-18. The first part of Genesis indicates that the earth could have existed for billions of years before the first Genesis “day,” though it does not say for how long. However, it does describe what earth’s condition was just before that first “day” began: “Now the earth proved to be formless and waste and there was darkness upon the surface of the watery deep; ”—Genesis 1:2 |

(Genesis 1:20-25) 20 And God went on to say: “Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls and let flying creatures fly over the earth upon the face of the expanse of the heavens.” 21 And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind. And God got to see that [it was] good. 22 With that God blessed them, saying: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the waters in the sea basins, and let the flying creatures become many in the earth.” 23 And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, a fifth day. 24 And God went on to say: “Let the earth put forth living souls according to their kinds, domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth according to its kind.” And it came to be so. 25 And God proceeded to make the wild beast of the earth according to its kind and the domestic animal according to its kind and every moving animal of the ground according to its kind. And God got to see that [it was] good. So God did create every living things including dinosaurs that might be part of "the great sea monsters". |
Hell is it a place of fire? Let remove the word fire then hell will just be ordinary grave. |
ibukun obi:Who put fire in Hell? Hell is a place of darkness there is no fire in hell as a matter of fact Bible says Hell will be cast into lake of fire, not fire into hell. |
Hell fire does exist. But as a symbolic place of destruction. |
@ LagosShia & others All world principal religions teach that a hell fire exist, a place where the dead will be tormented forever or for some time. My questions to those who believe in hell fire judgement are these most especially for those who read Bible and Qur'an: God created heaven and earth, and lastly create man, when did he create hellfire? Is it before he create man or after man creation? |
JW are not known to be participating in warfare one of reasons that made them object of persecution during Naziism and WW2. |
Why all these killings in the name of religion? |
Sweetnecta:Then there is no major different from form of major religions except for the worshipers that want to outwit themselves. |

Anybody can embrace whatever they want it is their choice. The story of Rapheal especially appeal to me, but from the story he was no longer a member of Jehovah's Witnesses when he become Muslim in 1991. According to him he left the rank in 1979. The truth is that a Jehovah's Witness will understand the believe of Muslim, Quran and Prophet. Jehovah's Witnesses are well educated when it come to understand the believe of other religions since they meet them every day in their house-to-house ministry, not only that they even have a lot of literature and magazines that dealt with different religious teachings and believe. One of their books that I once read 'Mankind Search for God' is highly informative and educative when it come to religious matter. Moreover what I can decipher from the story is that most of these guys want to worship God in their own way not in God way. My question is this, Is there any evidence that they still remain muslims? Because if Catholic way of worship are monotonous according to the story islam is no a different. |

Written by Hassan Ibrahim Monday, 08 August 2011 Disturbed by the continued incarceration of Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, a former Chief Security Officer (CSO)to the late head of state, General Sani Abacha, youth groups in the North that met under the aegis of Arewa Youth Forum(AYF), at the weekend, appealed to former Head of State, General Abdusalami Abubakar, to clarify the issues raised by Al-Mustapha. The national president of the AYF, Alhaji Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu, said it was only General Abubakar that could put an end to the controversy surrounding Major Al-Mustapha’s allegations and save the nation from further suspense, as the latter’s comments and videos had heated up the polity. The Arewa youths, he said, had continued to monitor the court proceedings and were not happy with Abubakar for keeping mum in spite of the fact that the embattled former chief security officer had mentioned him many times during the trial. He said Abubakar should emulate former President Ibrahim Babangida who had been calling for the release of Al-Mustapha in radio interviews, pointing out that posterity and history would not forgive those who make others suffer unjustly. http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/26301-arewa-youths-query-abubakar-over-al-mustapha |
•Top Northern leaders behind plan Written by Taiwo Adisa Monday, 08 August 2011 IT emerged in Abuja on Sunday that some of the revelations being attributed to the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza al-Mustapha, were part of an orchestrated plot to discredit top Yoruba leaders as a way of politically neutralising the South-West zone ahead of the 2015 general election. Contrary to claims by the former CSO that he had a video evidence to show that some notable Yoruba leaders were “settled” to resolve the political logjam occasioned by the death of the winner of the June 12 1993 presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, in detention, Mustapha only showed clips already broadcast by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in 1998. The former CSO had claimed that the regime of General Abdulsalami Abubakar withdrew the sums of $200 milion, £75 million and N200 million to settle certain persons in respect of the crisis occasioned by the death of Abiola. Nothing, however, linked the late Yoruba leaders mentioned in the al-Mustapha submissions to any scene of money sharing in the video clip he provided to the court. Sources, however, confirmed that analysis of the former CSO’s claims indicated a desperate bid to secure public sympathy, get out of the prolonged detention and also score some political points against the South-West in the process ahead of the next general election. Sources said that some key political strategists had discovered that the former CSO had the backing of some notable political figures from the North in his attempt to scandalise key Yoruba figures. According to sources, the plot actually emanated within the political circles. A source said that in their calculations ahead of 2015, some political figures had planned to silence the South-West and ensure it did not speak with one voice in the next general election. It was discovered that the solid support given to President Goodluck Jonathan in the April election was the decider of the election and that once seeds of doubts were planted among the Yoruba, they will never really regain the unity before the next election and that as such, any northern candidate can benefit from such disunity. “Some movements and secret meetings of late among certain key political figures in the North indicate that the 2015 battle has started in earnest. There is the belief that the Yoruba nation has to be destabilised and the al-Mustapha theory is coming in handy,” a source said, a number of missing gaps in the former CSO’s story easily gave him away. “There was nothing hidden about the visit of Pa Abraham Adesanya and other Yoruba leaders to Aso Rock after Abiola’s death. It was not a hidden meeting at all and the Political Committee of Afenifere had actually given its nod to that meeting. It was decided that the Yoruba should participate in General Abdulsalami Abubakar’s transition programme,” another source in the know said, adding that the plot to cause disunity among the Yoruba should be closely watched. “The strategy is that once the credible leaders are scandalised, no one would be able to unite the Yoruba,” the source further said. “With the fear that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may finally jettison zoning in line with the suggestions by former President Olusegun Obasanjo at a recent meeting, the North is afraid the South-West could rally round a candidate and give the planned transfer of power to the North a huge scare,” another source said, adding that the submissions by al-Mustapha had to be juxtaposed with the reality of 1998. http://www.tribune.com.ng/index.php/front-page-news/26280-al-mustaphas-allegation-plot-to-rubbish-yoruba-leaders-ahead-2015-uncovered-top-northern-leaders-behind-plan |
By Yinka Kolawole, Michael Eboh & Amaka Abayomi LAGOS—Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has appointed new managements and boards for Mainstreet Bank Ltd, Keystone Bank Ltd and Enterprise Bank Ltd, the three bridge banks set up by the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) to take over the assets and liabilities of Afribank Plc, Bank PHB Plc and Spring Bank Plc. A statement by AMCON stated that by the appointments which have been approved by CBN, Mr. Jacobs Moyo Ajekigbe, former MD of First Bank of Nigeria, becomes the Chairman of Keystone Bank, while Mr. Oti Ikomi was appointed Managing Director. Other officials of the bank are Shehu Abubarkar, Demola Adewale, Mrs. Yvonne Isichei, Dr. Shehu Mohammed, and Mr. Raphael Ereyi , all Executive Directors. Mainstreet Bank Limited For Mainstreet Bank Limited, Mr. Falalu Bello, former MD of Unity Bank, was appointed Chairman, while Mrs. Faith Tuedor-Matthews was appointed Managing Director. The Executive Directors are Mr. Kola Ayeye, Abubakar Sadiq Bello, Bolaji Shenjobi, Anogwi Anyanwu, and Roger Woodbridge. Enterprise Bank Limited Enterprise Bank Limited has Mr. Emeka Onwuka, former MD of Diamond Bank as Chairman, Ahmed Kuru as Managing Director, while Mrs. Louisa Olalokun, Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Aminu Ismail, Niyi Adebayo, and Audu Kazir are Executive Directors. Meanwhile, sources close to AMCON informed Vanguard that the staff of the three banks have been given two options – either to sign a bond in order to continue with the banks or get a severance package. Reactions Speaking on the CBN and NDIC action, Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje, Managing Director, Resources and Trust Company Plc said, “It is difficult to find justification for the CBN/NDIC action nationalising the three banks in question well ahead of the deadline set by the CBN itself. “The CBN is likely to argue that since no offers were on the table, it acted now rather than later to prevent a worsening of the institution’s situation as the deadline approached. “This would then raise the question of why CBN itself made a public show of the deadline rather than communicate privately with the banks. “I expect legal questions to arise regarding the propriety of CBN/NDIC action. I do not support nationalisation owing to the negative effects on the sector as seen from the 70s and early 90s and hope this nationalisations are a short-term “bridge” towards selling to private core investors.” Shareholders Association of Nigeria Shareholders under the aegis of Independent Shareholders Association of Nigeria (ISAN) have denounced the revocation of the licenses of the banks After an emergency meeting, ISAN in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Mr. Sunny Nwosu, called on President Goodluck Jonathan to declare an emergency in the nation’s banking industry to avert global concerns on Nigeria’s economic and financial status. “The revocation of the operating licenses of three commercial banks, namely Afribank Plc, BankPHB Plc and Spring Bank Plc remains a calculated subversion of the nation’s economy and the great people of Nigeria. The CBN’s Resolution of Recapitalization through Bridge Banks remains an attestation of failure or inept leadership by the current management of the apex bank toward finding a permanent answer to the nation’s induced banking problems.” The association further noted that the nation’s banking crisis was self-induced adding that the CBN’s revocation approach would further impoverish the citizens and Nigerians ability to create wealth through long term savings window of the capital market. “ISAN is now vindicated in its posture that the Assets Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON) was floated to re-nationalise commercial and quoted banks. By this action, the CBN has actualize the subsisting threat to revoke the operating licenses of banks whose shareholders challenge in law courts the apex bank recapitalization method. ISAN rejects the revocation of the banks operating licenses and would further meet to discuss the next line of action,” they stated. In his reaction, Mr. Seye Adetunmbi, Chief Responsibility Officer, Value Investing Limited, said: “One thing that can not be disputed is that those banks CBN took over had issues. If one of them, Intercontinental Bank, has officially advanced in the merger with Access Bank; it underscores the reality of the states of those abused banks. “Apparently, these three other banks could not breast the tape in the struggle and Federal Government intervened accordingly. Thus, I will give it to the decision makers on their intervention through the bridge bank initiative. They have the facts and must have weighed all options before resulting to this action.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/08/fg-appoints-mds-for-nationalised-banks/ |
