I have just reduced my CPU clock speed from 1200 mhz to 750mhz. so far I haven't noticed any lag from normal usage. let me see how much percentage gain this gives to my battery. I will post my findings.

Do this and see how it dries your battery. my Sim 2 is set to 3g only. this doesn't give it the liberty to switch to EDGE anytime. please do this and post your results. That 3g constantly on is what eats my battery.

God knows I am not touching my rom until I see a cooked rom that is 100 percent working.

I just found a very good way of conserving battery power on Gionee e3. search for the pro version of DU battery saver and install. the phone must be rooted. then go to saver option and enable lower CPU frequency. what this does is to automatically reduce the number of cores working whenever you turn off the backlight thereby conserving battery power by 50-75percent. This has more advantage than the in built power saver because you can still be runing on 3g, data and sync on while your phone is idle, but at that point, the phone will be operating on a lower frequency thereby saving battery power. I ran a test, I turned off my backlight but left everything on, (3g, 2go, bbm, facebook chat) all were connected and running, powered by my MTN open vpn tweak. After about 30 minutes, I noticed that I only lost 3 percent of my battery. Normally, if the screen were on and I was doing the same thing, I would have lost around 20 percent of my battery. if the screen was off and I was doing the same, I would lose around 11 to 12 percent. so this is worth a huge try. remember to grant superuser access to DU battery saver when you turn lower frequency on.

no nothing, just that it discharges so fast. I did a test today and discovered that screen brightness set at hundred alone draws the battery at the rate of 1 percent every 2 and a half minutes.







N.B. With screen brightness set to full, 3g on and normal browsing with operamini, my battery is discharging at the rate of 1 percent every 2 minutes. so that gives around 200 minutes from full to empty. this means that I get 3hours 20 minutes with this usage. 3g on, 100 percent screen brightness, operamini browsing without any streaming or downloading,. PLEASE HOUSE, IS THIS NORMAL?

please BRO I was able to boot into recovery by pressing power and volume up key. I saw wipe cache option but I didn't see any advance options in the menu. please any suggestions?

*Go to advance and clear Dalvik cache.
*Go back to the main menu and select Reboot device...

The warmth at the back only happens when im tethering via wifi or doing serious 3.75G download or playing a HD game

hello house, please help out here. I bought the Gionee e3 last week after reading opinions here. my problem is that the battery hardly last for 2 and a half hours. I am not a gaming person. my usage is 3g on, screen dimmed to minimum, 2go chat, watsapp, facebook chat and opera browser. with these, I hardly get up to 2,5 hours from fully charge to empty. yesterday I charged the phone up to 3 times. it takes just about 10 minutes for the battery level to drop from 100 percent to 90 percent. please note that I haven't even played any game on it, let alone a HD game. I also notice that the top of the phone, around the camera area easily gets warm when am using it. please I need suggestions. I think it's running a Nigerian or Indian Android OS cos am not seeing anything Chinese here. , am not sure though. thanks for your anticipated response
