Before I start, I would like you all to know that I will be as blunt as possible in everything I would say because I personally feel annoyed by the whole movie. I literally have nothing good to say about it.
Most people would think I am filled with bias but I am actually not. Admittedly, it is a very funny movie. I still laugh so hard that I cry whenever I watch it…It’s actually a good thing, but it’s still a bad movie.

Got a message from yhem for an interview slated for 11th June

If you are a fan of Yoruba movies, You may have come across the name Sharafadeen Olabode. He's a script writer and producer with so many blockbusters to his credits. I am not really a fan of Yoruba movies but there are some producers I can not but watch their projects because they never fail to deliver.
Mr Sharafadeen Olabode is one of them, I have been following this young man right from his second film project "Ayekooto". That yoruba movie that won the highest numbers of awards at the 2012 Best of Nollywood Awards...Best Actor in a role(Yoruba), Best supporting Actor(Yoruba), Best Cinematography, and even went ahead to won Best Direction and Movie of the year beating the likes of; In the cupboard, Phone swap, Adesua, Married but living single and Last flight to Abuja. For a Yoruba movie to have achieved such feat, then you should know Mr Olabode is no joke.

The producer whose film titles always start with Aiye (World) has something special he's always preaching in his movies.
Ayeloja is his latest efforts...Which means "The world is a market place". Indeed it is. The movie which talks about reincarnation also reminds us that this world is vanity.
Ayeloja tells the story of Basit, played by Ibrahim Chatta, (The man that played Sunmonu in Kunle Afolayan's October 1) who died in an accident due to the carelessness in handling of prayers to avert death over his younger brother Khalid. Since it's not yet time for him to die..This took him to a new circle of existence In another human body with another Name Jimoh. He coincidentally meet with his father who took him back home. Though everyone seem surprised because he looks exactly like the deceased, the only different thing is that he speaks in a new accent and the mode at which he walks.
Ibraham chatta is a genius, this guy deserves an Academy award for this role. Playing two different characters brilliantly.
Ayeloja takes a closer look at the reincarnation thing and it came out well, We all know the bible and quran do not support the reincarnation belief but it has been proven to happen from time to time; However, the wonders of God is mysterious.
The accident scene was beautifully executed. Thumb up to Hakeem Effects for the makeup.
Ayoloja is a nice piece except for few flaws;
In one scene, we were made to understand that the reincarnates are humans, no difference between them and the real human beings as they do not know what one thinks about them and in another scene, The twin reincarnates were able to read someone's mind who thinks she knew them somewhere in Abeokuta, Ogun state before their death.
Also, there were few spelling errors in the subtitles and the scene where Mr Jimoh and his wife were dancing in the club took too long that my friend to asked if I was watching a musical video. Nevertheless, Kemi Afolabi is a good dancer. Also in the scene, Mr Jimoh almost forget his mode of walking as he dances.
I don't know if the producer is trying to tell us that Jimoh's wife never get to see him eating as one of the characteristics of the reincarnates Is that people do not see them eating. Even as his housewife?
Then, there're so many unnecessary dialogues, especially Basit's transformation scene with the Angel. We aren't watching a comedy film, less dialogue would have made it better.
Lastly, the writer could have allowed Jimoh to vanish Instead of dying and been buried again. I want to believe the story is fictional, and like some people have been quoting that the holy books are against reincarnation.
But not too serious, we watch movies so we can be entertained and I was entertained

If its solely for business, I will advice you to buy all. Because people tend to love different genres of movies. I don't love romance, someone else's may do. Buy from Action to thriller, romance, comedy. In short buy everything, you will always see whom will love them. How to spot an interesting yoruba movie, buy movies written, produced or directed by Muyiwa Ademola, Kunle Afod, Adebayo Tijani, Femi Adebayo, Afeez Balogun, Tope Adebayo, Segun Ogungbe, Seun Olaiya, Fathia Balogun, Mercy Aigbe, Dayo Amusa, Funke Akindele, Sharafadeen Olabode, Rounke Ojo, Yinka Quadri, Yomi Fabiyi, Taiwo Hassan, Abbey Lanre, Toyin Aihmaku. I am not saying others aren't good o. These are just my best. Wondering why odun Adekola isn't on the list, I only see him as a good actor but not a good writer but "Na im movies people dey like pass".
