Two bomb blasts have
killed at least 14 people near two churches in a
Christian neighbourhood of the
Pakistani city of Lahore, local officials say.
More than 70 people
were hurt in the
explosions, which
targeted worshippers
attending Sunday mass at the churches in the Youhanabad area.
Violent protests erupted after the blasts, with a mob killing two men
accused of involvement in
the attacks.
Pakistan's Christian
community has often
been targeted by
militants.
The Islamist terror group, Talliban claims responsible.
Witnesses say suicide
bombers were
responsible for the
explosions but police
have not confirmed this.
The bombers are said to have detonated their explosives near the gates of St John's Catholic Church and Christ Church.

Politics › President Jonathan Visits Adamawa Again by Macelliot(op): 5:39pm On Mar 14, 2015
President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday visited Adamawa State for the second time in two weeks.
Mr. Jonathan arrived Yola, the state capital, at about 12p.m. and visited the Lamido of Adamawa.

Sources at the palace said “the president had a closed-door meeting with some traditional rulers in the Lamido’s palace for about hour before living for Adamawa State government house”.

At the government house, the president met with political and religious leaders in the state.

Mr. Jonathan was meeting with members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, including Governor Bala Ngilari , his deputy, when this report was filed.
Also present at that meeting were the state PDP chairman, the PDP governorship candidate, Nuhu Ribadu, past and present National Assembly members.
Mr. Jonathan paid his first visit in years to Adamawa State, on February 26, when he visited Mubi, a town reclaimed recently by government troops from the insurgent group, Boko Haram.

Before the visit, the president had stayed away from Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, despite the three states being at the centre of a violent Boko Haram insurgency that killed thousands of residents and displaced many more.

During his first visit two weeks ago, the president, alongside Nigeria’s Chief of Defence staff and all the service chiefs and the Inspector General of police, met with the Emir of Mubi, Isa Ahamadu, and the people of the area.

He later travelled to Baga in Borno State, another town recaptured in February from Boko Haram.

Politics › MASSOB Shuts Down Enugu, Says Jega Must Go! by Macelliot(op): 2:50pm On Mar 13, 2015
Members of the pan-Biafran organisation, Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Friday marched round major streets of Enugu calling for the removal of INEC’s chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega.

Displaying placards of various inscriptions, the pro-Biafrans, most of whom clad in navy blue uniform with the Biafran rising sun insignia assembled at Edinburgh Road, New Layout, from where they ‎trooped to the major streets of Enugu chanting solidarity songs.
Some of the placards read: “Jega must go”, “Jega has compromised”, “No election with Jega on seat”, “Jega is not impartial” etc.

They were led by their Enugu zonal chairmen, Mrs. Augustina Ugwuoke, Ben Ekwunugo and E. Ilogu in the peaceful protest march.

The MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike in a telephone chat told our correspondent that ‎: “We organising the protest against Jega because he is biased and cannot conduct a credible election for Nigerians.
“We know that he is in favour of APC and if allowed to conduct the elections, he will definitely favour the party and when that happens, there will be crisis and people will die.

“The crisis will and can even lead to a war and we don’t want bloodshed.

“We are not hiding the fact that we are supporting Jonathan because of the burial he gave to our leader, Ojukwu and therefore we are sure that if the election is free and fair that Jonathan will win.”

He is not corrupt until a court of law proofs him otherwise. Let me ask you, if PDP and GEJ are so sure he is corrupt, why has he not been jailed by now? Doesn't this mean that GEJ is not fit to uphold the laws of the land?
Obviously, GEJ didn't exposed him as being the most corrupt Governor, but OBJ did....
