With regards to your question about if the position has been filled or not

From what I can see, you and your friend or maybe your brother, whom after messing up his opportunity has not gotten a job.

But sorry, we don't need a person with such attitude in our company. I would suggest you try somewhere else. Lol... grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
My question regards why the position is yet to be filled or u need more manpower is finding question

Hmmm! u cal dat opportunity? 4 me is misleading/falsehood
Talking about attitude, employer wit out valid address.
Employer who clam he was on his way to Lagos wen the okada man said dat is the area of his resident.
Mr Olu is the HR manager who set and conducted on line assessment which later said the factor manager Mr Dipo Edun will be the one to gv the address of factory. wit common sense does it mean HR doesn't have or knw the address of the company where he HR on?
Wit all dis conversation, people wit good sensible & sensitive will have the clue who is more transparency/attitude.
I don't want to post havoc on this plant form but u shall knw the truth and the truth shall set u free.

Your friend does not have anything close to the experience required for the job. We only considered him to give him a chance.

Due to his impatience, he couldn't locate where our staff asked him to wait.

I think you should be asking him these questions not me.
If you or your friend is suspicious as you think, you can stick inside your house. And I think people sometimes don't appreciate the opportunity given to them.
Re-your friend does nt have anything close to the experience required 4 the job.we only considered him 2 giv him chance~~~~~Hummm! he doesn't hav the experience u only given him a chance. Thanks for ur kindness & generous dat is why u stated accommodation is available.

Re- Due to his impatience, he couldn't locate where our staff asked him to wait~~~~very funny.if an adult can't locate where mr Dipo told him which I believe is the name u clam. wen he took okada 4rm ofada to gbarinmole inside non of okada rider in dat area hav clue of starpack/polymer company. wen he called mr Dipo and he hand over his phone to okada man to talk to him dat is wen mr dipo said he ws on his way to Lagos to buy things bcz okada man said the area mr dipo describes, dat is were he build his house and he never hear or see anything related.Though nobi everything person go knw

Re- I think you should be asking him these questions not me~~~~ OK sir but one more question. Does it mean since ur last post about dis job,the position is yet to filled or u need more additional manpower?

Re- If you or your friend is suspicious as you think, you can stick inside your house~~~~ Noted.
Re- And I think people sometimes don't appreciate the opportunity given to them~~~~ That is human being for u.if it is done on good transparency wit good heart and clean mind God will reward.
conclusion: Der is thousands excuses for wrong doing but one excuse is not enough.

LifestyleTonite:
That was how I attended one interview where they had us writing test about how to improve the sales in a restaurant. At the end, I realised they had no intention of employing anyone but were just trying to get ideas from us. Really awful.

I once got a job with a Lebanese company that required I resumed immediately. When I got the offer letter, it was clearly stated that I can only resign when after giving them 6 months notice. So, if I get a well paying job with an oil firm, I'll have to turn it down or make them wait for 6 months before I resume, as if am the only employable person on earth.

Nigerians just know how to mess systems up. That's exactly what these foreign companies are now taking advantage of.
my brother few to write more to say
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Things Nigerian HR's Need To Stop Doing by Mackin: 10:36pm On Jan 26, 2017
LifestyleTonite:
Every Nigerian job seeker can surely tell you one or two things that HRs put them through which they dislike. Below are a few I could pen down. Kindly read till the end.

1. Keeping interviewees waiting

HRs send messages to job seekers to appear for an interview at a particular time of a said date. This is strongly adhered to by job seekers, but these recruiters never stick to that time. They keep the interviewees waiting for hours to the point of exhaustion before attending to them. Such jobs are usually shitty jobs bound to enslave graduates. They need to stick to time in consideration of the fact that most people who showed up for the interview gave one flimsy excuse to get a leave from their current job just to attend the interview. Some just went AWOL with the hope of quickly going back to work after the interview only to be delayed.

2. Devaluing Nigerian graduates

HRs know what the available position in their company is worth or offers, yet they still prefer to ensure that they beat the remuneration down cos they know that desperate job seekers won't mind taking the offer. Instead of going with the industrial standard or a bit below it, they prefer to box you into a tight corner that will see you take half of what the position is really worth. Before you know it, that becomes the new industrial standard cos every other company in that sector will key into the idea. What they don't know is that they are devaluing Nigerian graduates just to please their bosses. This is why Lebanese and Chinese companies love to take graduates for a ride in Nigeria. I think they should include the salary the position offers in the job advert. This will make only those comfortable with such pay to apply.

3. Increase the speed of the air conditioner

I know you are already wondering why I included this as a point. In as much as I find it funny, I don't think it's funny. These HRs place candidates in a room with AC increased to the maximum and leave them there for hours. I wonder if it's deliberately done to make them see how cool their work environment is. This stunt of theirs almost affected me on 2 occasions. I didn't know I was already frozen until it was time to write the Test. My hands were seriously shaking like someone in Antarctica. Every time I try to pen down an answer, my hand kept dancing away from the answer sheet. I didn't know when I called them to put it off, even though it made me look like a village boy.

4. Countless interview stages

I believe this annoys many job seekers. After attending several stages of the company's interview, you get sent a regret mail, or at worse they never contact you again. The disappointment you feel is made worse when you remember how excited you got when they sent you an SMS that you past their test and made it to the next stage. You feel like committing suicide when you remember how you spent your last card or borrowed money just to attend their interviews. I think the Nigerian Senate needs to set a law that will make companies pay a certain fee to interviewees, even if it's just 1k. This will help cover transportation expenses and prevent companies from inviting job seekers more than they can really employ. Abi no be so?

5. Bogus job titles

These HRs are now skilled in the art of luring job seekers to apply for jobs they can't even be caught dead doing. This they do by over inflating the job title in an attractive way. You hear titles like Sales Executive, Sales Supervisor, Sales Officer, Sales Consultant etc. That was how a friend of mine wore a wedding suit to an interview cos the job title sounded awesome- Business Development Executive. He was angered when he realized the position was a marketing role with shitty pay and unattainable targets to be achieved before you get the pay.

To all HRs reading this, make una no vex o. I still dey find job. Make una no use vexation throwey my CV if una see am. Na God I use take beg una. In short, na me Dobale for ground so.

U said it all. About the AC I hd twice exprnce and I caution dem but lucky enough I ws told dey intentionally do dat to knw maybe am physically fit. u can imagine

I wonder wat dey want to do wit Marital status and religion. maybe dey want to add to person wife or divorce the only one u hav and change u from one religion to another.

They giv u a form to fill/ ask about ur salary details. they collect all your company/ your personal financial information all in the name I will get back to you but never get back and also never review about der salary details

Intevw is about chatting, they read or memorize from script to intervw u and expect u to answers it to der satisfaction. wen is ur time to ask question dey ignore ur questions.your first question= dey refer u to der website. second question= so u expect me to answer dis or we don't hav the information @hand. Third question= we are running out of time

U will be schedule for intervw up to 4/5 times as if the position u apply for na CEO.the last schedule will be factory trial or inspection and make report.na deceit. knw valid position dey are just using ur ideas to achieve der goal.

They knw u are working till date and dey will never discuss it wit u during intervw period of your notification but some doz .They will offer u apportionment letter to start work wit immediate effect or very short notice but for der own, it's written in bracket 20 workin days must be giv as notification.

Since bird has learnt how to fly high, a hunter has also learnt how to shoot it arrow. The truth is that getting job in Nigeria is becoming a Herculean task to many graduates who have been left stranded in the labour market. My advice is that we all may not get our dream job in a platter of gold rather, we should humble ourselves in every situation believing God to pick your call on time. I was once in your shoes not until few weeks ago that God picked my call.
However,in a nutshell as I said earlier, one need to humble herself/himself by following these practical steps in landing a good job without connection in that untouchable office.
The first step is to join any of the following: industrial security, industrial cleaner, industrial gardener, cook,House help, etc.

1. Industrial cleaner: Some people will say a whole me to be a cleaner? God forbid! Imagine telling me this crash after spending a whole lots of money in the university. It is always like that but my advice is that if you actually know what a cleaning job worth in a big company you would prefer to do it free in order to get closer to that MD or GM etc. How it works, If you're posted to any company as a cleaner, just be friendly, smile to everyone, be punctual, don't be too fast, be focused, respectful, integrity driven, speak good English and pray in your mind always. When posted there, bearing in mind what you actually worth, don't do the job for less than three months depending how big the company is. Try and sale yourself high. In your leisure time, try to offer some office errand for them bearing in mind you're heading somewhere more bigger. Ensure you maintain your integrity by giving them back their change through your errand and, that will bring millions of trust that will land you the job. Give them office assistant in their typing but don't be compromised in your womanhood.

2. Industrial security: Gone are the days when security jobs are meant for old men. These days, the harsh economic conditions have damaged many dreams. My advice is that never give up. There is a bank security man i know that have built one storey building in my place and have recently got married in a big way with lots of dignitaries. I was astounded when i graced the occasion. The current Gambia President was once a security officer in his earlier stage in life. All the same, don't make it a career in Nigeria context. What you should concentrate on is where am i heading to? When you remained focused and hardworking believing in his miracle, wonderful testimony will visit you. First thing to do in this category is to visit any security company like Pavilion, Halogen, Proton, Kings guard, Techno crime etc. Write their exam and training within two weeks ,get posted in the 3rd or less than that. When posted to a company, try and be focused, respectful, hardworking, and maintain your integrity ( don't engage yourself in any illicit business). After three months or so, i believe you may have made some few friends. Always speak good English and be respectful to your supervisors because your success depends on how opened you are to them but don't be too opened. Try and always smile and be jovial to staff, MD, GM ,HR. Admin etc. When you have established your trust with them, let say for not less than 3months, drop your CV with any one of them (MD, GM, Adm, HR or staff). Work for extra two to 3months, then resign telling them in your letter that you would like to be part of them in the future if opportunity warrant itself. Thank them before your departure and move ahead. They must call you back.
Just give it a try. I have not less than 23 people that are now gainfully employed through these processes. I know that with God, all things are possible.

May Allah blesses our efforts.
