lol @pressid guy, oh the deadline was on the 10th of April I think..and it was physical submission of CV n credentials. . Concerning our discussion above, she was allowed to apply because she was at d test venue today but if there's any update I'll keep u informed.

I knew the test would be long because I met the HR outside after she told us she wasn't going to allow gatecrashers. .. Told us the test was sent from S.A and they had only materials for 10persons invited. . Said had it been ordinary test, they would hv allowed us..

Anyway, she asked my age, qualifications et al, then asked why I didn't apply since I meet all the requirements, told her the application was already closed when I saw the advert.. she then told me to submit my CV with the receptionist.

The receptionist then told me they're still reviewing other CVs too.. So, I believe there will be a next batch.. Besides, only 10persons can't possibly be invited for the role.... I hope to be called shaa

There are no past questions, I am not writing but a friend of mine said it's paper based 50 questions 1hr.. quantitative verbal and current affairs like what's NEPAD etc go n get all those GMAT bks and study before scammers tell u to pay for fake materials

I wrote it last year (2014) when I was serving and there were some cray networking questions... subnetting, routing, switching, internet security etc.. then some funny current affairs quests like what date did obama pass d gay law in america, who was the 52nd secretary of state in America, how many ministries in nigeria have websites with .gov.ng huh

Etc.

This is not to discourage any one, read on networking, logical reasoning and out of the box current affairs quests before making that journey to Abuja.

The process is free and fair (I knw people that were serving in d dept that organises d scholarship in nitda and dey knew officials there but didn't still get it).. u are only competing with people from your state, d best 2 from every state gets d msc award.. making it 72 awardees.

I also know someone from CU currently a beneficiary of the scheme.... and I also know a couple first class graduates from CU who didn't wait for their opportunity to be part of the scheme but flew out for masters immediately (some before NYSC self).

lol I am from Covenant University, I know the 1st and 2nd edition of pressid CU had d highest i think 10 and 11 respectively (minister of power said this during my graduation), this 3rd edition I only saw my name and 4 others i know from my dept in CU maybe there are other people from CU that weren't in my dpt and I didn't or don't know their names; and our VC won't lie trust me wink

It's most advisable to apply using a computer and not your phone.

To apply, click on the link above,

on the top right section of the page that opens you'll see a tab that says "apply here",

A page opens with 2 options NITDEF MSc and NITDEF PhD, click on the overseas link that applies to you,

Another page opens, scroll to the bottom of this page and click on fresh application,

on the next page, generate your pin, (copy and keep this pin safe) to re login after saving your application

complete the 13 page application form thereafter but make sure you have your LG certificate, NYSC Certificate and BSC degree.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), with its mandate of transforming Nigeria into an IT driven economy for global competitiveness and the dire need to bridge the digital divide, has since 2010 established a Scholarship Scheme for Masters (MSc) and Doctorate (PhD) Degrees in relevant areas of Information Technology (IT) obtainable in Nigeria or Foreign/Overseas Universities.

NITDA POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME 2015

Criteria
The scholarship award is strictly based on merit and is equally distributed between the six geo-political zones for PhD and the 36 States and FCT for Msc.
Duration
The Masters programme will run for one year while the Doctorate programme is expected to run for three years.
Eligibility
PhD: University Lecturers with MSc in any Information Technology related field are eligible to apply for sponsorship.
MSc: All citizens of Nigeria with First Class or Second Class (Upper) Honours Bachelor's degree, (BSc) in Information Technology related field.
Application Closing Date
1st June, 2015.
