Sorry about the refusal. Is your brother in the same state as your school?
VO stressed so much about him going on F1 and you too. I think that your brother not returning after his studies is a red flag.
He’s not in the same state as my school. But it doesn’t make sense now. So because my brother didn’t return does it mean I don’t intent to return. I even have a job offer waiting for when I get back

From this transcript, There's something about your brother's stay that's unconvincing to the VOs. Next time, if given the opportunity, chip it in on your brother's intent to returning back to the country. and I hope he isn't also in Texas - which is your intended city of study?

According to the US consul visa vetting, there's something called "Family history". A VO can deny a person if a relative of that individual has shown immigrant intent on an NIV visa. This isnt a fair criteria but it is surreal.
He’s not in texas o, we’re not even close or anything

I got denied again today and honestly I don’t know what the problem is.

Vo : You’re going for a masters in Management sciences and quantitative methods:

Me: It’s actually Data Analytics but that’s how my school represents it on the sevis record

Vo: What will this degree do for you

Me: I have an offer to become a junior financial analyst at so and so company. I’ve worked there for 3 years and getting this degree will help me to become an analyst at the risk and investment supervision department.

Vo: what’s your highest academic qualifications

Me I have a bachelors in Chemical Engineering and I did a student exchange program in Industrial engineering as well and that’s where i learnt how to to analytics for engineering design

Vo: who will be paying for your trip

Me: My uncle, he’s an optometrist at so so hospital

Vo: you have any relative in the us

Me: yes my brother, he’s currently on opt

Vo: He went there on F1 as well

Me: yes

Vo: who paid for his education

Me: My dad paid until his final year when he got sick and my uncle paid the rest

Vo: so you went to Michigan on J1 and You’re going to Texas on F1

Me: Yes

Vo: what does your brother do?

Me: he’s a software engineer at so and so

V: i’m sorry you do not qualify for blah blah at this time

Hello everyone,

Do you have to pay a new visa fee if you're changing fro abuja to lagos? I cancelled my appointment in abuja and I'm not seeing provision to update my MRV receipt number. It's still using the former MRV.

You were very close to getting this visa. I hope you know the USA embassy uses 420/$. Was that the rate you used that made it 2M above your cost of attendance

No I used 560/$, if I use 420/$ it would have been about 5m left. Please what do you advise I do? Should I reapply an fund the account further or?
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by macron: 5:56pm On Nov 10, 2021
Hello Guys,

My visa got denied today by the korean guy and I honestly think it's because of funds. The money in the account was only about 2 million more than the cost of attendance.

Transcript

VO: I see you've gone to america before
me: Yes I had a exchange program that lasted for about 6 months in 2015

VO: I see you have a family member in the US
me: Yes he's currently on OPT

Vo: Who will be paying for your stay
me: My uncle

vo: what does he do?
me: He's a medical doctor at ___ hospital?

vo: Can I have his statement?

Looks at statement, could only be doing what I assume is conversion to dollar

vo: Sorry you do not qualify for a visa at this time.

I want to know what I can do please anyone. Is it advisable to reapply for Spring 2022 and fund the account or add my brother as a co sponsor?
Any advise will be appreciated

Good morning people
I have a question, I was denied an F1 visa in June, but I later got admitted to another school, and reapplied for another visa, I noticed that when I was applying for the first visa, it asked for my sevis id for the school I wanted to attend then, but now that I am going for a new school, I tried changing the sevis to the new school but I can't find it on the update profile section of the portal, what can I do, or it doesn't mean anything?
P. S: I already scheduled an appointment. Thank you.
I don’t think you can edit sevis ID after picking a date. You should have changed it before that. Try and call them to see what they can do about that. It definitely matters if you go to the interview with a sevis Id that doesn’t match your current I-20

Please someone should help me. I was previously denied in August and I don’t know if EA will be approved for me. I want to know if I should just defer till Fall 2022 or if I should try for spring 2022

Hello everyone,
Please how likely is it that you’ll be able to get EA if you had a visa denial in August. It says on the website that EA can be requested 60 days to your program start date and if you haven’t been been denied a visa in the last 6 months.
I want to know if I should put my mind on January or just wait until Fall 2022.
Please someone should respond to this. I want to know if I should bother requesting I-20 for Spring

Good afternoon,
How many weeks after your denial were you able to book another appointment. I am trying to get an appointment a week after I was denied in Abuja but it is saying no appointment date available. I want to know if I should wait longer or if there's a problem I need to call the embassy to fix.

NEVER GET DISCOURAGE ON THIS JOURNEY, JUST REMAIN FOCUS.
3rd attempt at Abuja on August 24 gave me the long await VISA APPROVAL

After my rejection on June 28, I reapplied and available date was December 15. I deferred till Spring 2021.While wait for updated I-20, I keep checking available dates and re-applying for EA. EA was rejected 3 times at ABUJA from July- August 15,2021.On August 16 EA was APPROVED and I changed to September 24 with the hope that I can still make fall 2021 or just wait till Spring 2022. On August 21 I requested for another EA and it was approved within 25 minutes. Available dates was August 24 from September 24, I could not pick the date. It was so close and I stay in Lagos while interview is Abuja. (Friday 21 is not far from Tuesday 24) .After consulting my friends and wife, I picked August 24. Monday night I enter Abuja, after serious prayer and fasting.
10.AM with a young white lady.
V.O : I see you are going to Eastern Michigan UNI. with 100%G.A to for a doc. degree in Eng. Tech.
Me: I said yes ma and i completed the statement by mentioning my area of conc.
V.O : what will you do after this?
me: I will return to Nig. to take the position of the country manager in R&grin in my company
V.O: SHE checked where i work in her system and mentioned it.
me: Yes ma.
v.o: Is your wife travelling with you?
ME: No, she enjoys her career here in Nig. she works in an oil n gas firm( I mentioned the name) as Professional accountant and she has given her support and consent to start the program.
V.O: your VISA will be approved.
ME: I was shocked, just like that. All the questions i prepared for have not been asked. I tried to pay attention to what she was saying after getting the white paper but i did not hear much other corvid 19.... restriction.
I was crying that wao...... this is God. People taught I was rejected. Mean while i dressed very very causal and people were actually looking at me that do i really come for interview. Thank God for everything. This is just to encourage someone, don't give up until you hit the target.

See you at the top.
