People would still have suffered under Pandora

You are beginning to sound like a twinkling cymbal. Noise with no substance.

See the screenshot of what Peter Obi brought to the table when he assumed office in Anambra. Tinubu lacks the moral capacity to attract any

Foreign donor Agencies like the European Union, World Bank, Department for International Development (DFID), and United NationsEnvironmental Programme (UNEP) are all back to Anambra State.

Debt forgiveness and foreign aid would be possible with Peter Obi at the helm but impossible with Tinubu.

What rubbish am I reading? Buhari 1984 reloading. Hunger and scarcity are coming. How do you restock after selling below the company price?

But Danyaro said the traders were currently selling their commodities in the market at a price less than the company prices.

The worth of every Abian born in a state hospital was fixed at #500.

Is this Ikpeazu policy still in place or has Otti increased it?

How much is now an Abian nigglet worth?

Asking for a friend.

The point of opposition is lost when willful ignorance takes centre stage.

I don't really care about Ikpeazu but the whole 500 naira thing is just bad media and for want of a better term, "bad belle"

The government started a policy that says that any woman who delivers in a primary health center will get

1. Free delivery meaning the price of hospital bills for mother and child will be on the state government
2. Free delivery bag including food items, medications, etc
3. 500 Naira to at least get them home after delivery.

This is a good health policy. The first two are needed and a lot of people can't afford them. If the third one insults you, leave it and don't collect it. Coming here to make fun of it is classless

Sports / Witchdoctors Of African Football, Do You Expect To Win The Home Team In Finals? by MadamExcellency: 11:32am On Feb 12
They'll Put a Spell on You. This is a reminder of the history of Ivorian National Team and Afcon competition.

"That's nothing. All I have to do is cast a few shells and contact the spirit of the playing field, then our own goal will be nailed up and the opposition's goal will be wide open," the magician Mbenkem says. He doesn't offer any more details. No teams, no matches. We thank him and drive on.

And When the Path to the Stadium is Bewitched?

And then there is also the legendary AFCON story about the Ivory Coast team, which won the Africa Cup of Nations final in 1992 after a penalty shoot-out 11:10. The fans credited the victory to the witch doctors who had been employed by the Ministry of Sport. The witch doctors themselves said that their services had been commissioned by the Ministry but that they had never been compensated for their services.

As a result, they cursed the national team. And indeed, the Elephants, as the team is known, won nothing for years. Finally, a decade later, the country's defense minister apologized to the aggrieved witch doctors on behalf of the nation for "the 1992 promise that was not fulfilled after the Africa Cup." The minister also offered the witch doctors $2,000 (around €1,670) and asked them to start working for "the republic and the sports minister" again.

This was obvious to everyone then...how Trump allowed himself to be played out like this surprises me beyond words.

He is an outsider to the corridors of power. FBI, CIA, DOS, and all the Alphabet and mainstream media worked against him. Do you remember how 51 former Intelligence Agencies heads called Hunter Biden's laptop, a Russian disinformation? They misled US citizens and it turns out that the laptop was real.

Politics / Re: Adams Oshiomole On 35k Wage Award by MadamExcellency: 7:15am On Feb 12
The workers should offer something irresistible like increase in productivity, early to work, reduction in man-hour losses and downtime. Then demand for 100% increase in basic allowance which is the basic building block for other allowances.

As a labour leader, I was known for successfully negotiating hardship allowances anytime there was inflation with a promise that our workers would increase productivity and it worked for both the employer and the employees.

It is all about give and take.

Stop this nonsense immediately before it degenerates into 1984 Buhari's military regime. This is a precursor to intense hunger and starvation when Buhari locked up warehouses and sold the food using the military boys.

If these farmers or middlemen refuse to restock. We are finished. It happened in 1984 and the result was extreme hunger and kwashioko.

Asking for debt relief is one thing, getting it is another.

Even Obasanjo's debt relief was gotten at the expense of us paying one third of it..

The money they give us as loans comes from their taxpayers. If they keep on forgiving us, their taxpayers would not forgive them at the next election...and replace them with candidates who won't give us any aid whatsoever, and still collect our outstanding, with interest.

That is why we should have developed a diversifed economy, raised our tax to gdp ratio, and actually fought corruption all these decades. Not be sharing oil that cannot sustain 20 million people self.

Stop living in the dark? Did you listen to Turker Calson's interview with Vladimir Putin? Most foreign debts are just printed paper from their central banks.

What diversification did France, Norway and Britain do? This is international politics. The best currency for getting back things from the West is your moral compass. Be it grants or debt forgiveness. If the leader is ready to sacrifice for the people, you will have the support of the West.

Do you know that Buhari's government was forced and blackmailed into taking those loans? The purpose of all these is to get cheap raw materials from Nigeria and to serve Western citizens.

Which of the 3 leading Presidential candidates is not a certified known criminal?

One thing is certain, Tinubu has no moral compass to demand debt relief. If it was Peter Obi, he would ask and demand debt relief or at worst debt restructuring. This is where lies the root of this unintended collapse of Nigeria's economy. Every other cosmetic policy gears toward debt repayment. Be it the removal of fuel subsidies or the floating of the Naira.
Every piece of advice from the World Bank and IMF is geared toward getting money ready to pay the principals and the lenders club. Their advice is not good for a family (Nigeria) unable to feed their children.

There is no and has never been any corruption case against Peter Obi in Nigeria or any foreign country. This is a fact.

The money is meant to bribe the delegates. He wants to buy over
several union leaderships and to control the outcome of the negotiation.

The president bought his APC nomination and as such believes nothing is off the table in terms of buying over loyalty during negotiation.

Nigerians were subsidizing FG's power generation in the country by 100 MWatts of electricity from generators and as such FG has no right to pull the rug on immediate fuel subsidy removal without providing the alternatives.

The attendant cost of immediate subsidy removal is terrible for manufacturing, processing, and packaging companies including the cost of food transportation.

The day you guys understand why Africa is poor and why every African country is like Nigeria, you will end all this nonsense about MNK.

Besides, if there was a Biafra, the same issues would be there. The SE economy is built on imports...not on manufacturing...even though there is some manufacturing...but it is not the main form of business, and they do not export.

Neither do other parts of Nigeria and Africa.

What a crude nonsense assumption is this your comment supposed to mean? Southeast Economy adapted to Nigeria marginalization to survive. Who told you that Southeast doesn't export? The most consumed staple food in Southern Nigeria is fufu and garri, they are mostly homegrown.

Igbos will survive and make gigantic progress under any environment and condition. As far as there is no blockage, we will negotiate our prosperity.

Imagine Niger Delta whose lands have been polluted will now have nothing while the oil and gas go to Niger State unrestricted.

This is illegal and should lead to war. Imagine the Niger Republic blocking River Niger flowing to Nigeria because of a shortage of water in their country. Wouldn't Nigeria go to war for it?

APC, PDP, AD, NNPP are not my business.

My business is that NO IGBO MAN WILL EVER RULE NIGERIA.

Their plan is for Obi (who failed as a governor) to become the president so that when it's a few weeks to the end of his tenure he can declare Biafra for them.

That grief is written all over your face while typing this comment is an understatement. It is a pity that your tribal superiority failed to mend or grow Nigeria.

Tribal ideology is a faith-based movement. No one can argue with religious fundamentalists like you and have his/her sanity intact.

It is becoming imperative that Nigeria needs Igbos in control of decision-making in government to turn things around. But you intend to rather die than see it happen.

Igbos are not the cause of Tinubu's failure but they saw it coming from afar.

Politics / Re: As A President, How Would You Have Handled The Current Economy Crisis? by MadamExcellency: 5:34pm On Feb 07
I would have demanded debt relief from our creditors or at least renegotiated the debt repayment.

I will employ the services of foreign military mercenaries to fight bandits and Bokoharam to help farmers produce more and sell at a cheaper rate.

I will read the riot act to civil servants and politicians alike that no corruption will be allowed without gross punishment.

I will organize a national conference to allow a renegotiated union and by this, it will elicit patriotism from citizens.

I will invite Peter Obi, Obasanjo, Elrufia, and Atiku for input not as politicians but as Elder Statesmen.

I wouldn't have removed the subsidy in a single stance.
