Barcelona star Lionel Messi has purchased a four-star-hotel in a beach town close to the Catalonian city.
It was gathered that the Argentine bought the luxury hotel, which has 77 rooms, for 30million euros (£26.01m/N10 billion), according to Spanish newspaper Expansion.

The hotel, which boasts a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea and stunning views, is situated close to the beach and seafront promenade of Sitges, 40km from Barcelona.

Recently renamed MiM and built in 2013, prices at the hotel range from 250 euros to 300 euros per night.
The Barcelona forward has recently established a new company for investment in hotels and apartments under the name of Rosotel. According to expansion, Messi is president and his brother Rodrigo is sole administrator.

Messi follows rival Cristiano Ronaldo in purchasing hotels - the Real Madrid star owns four hotels in a £54million investment. The hotels are located in three cities linked to his career: Funchal, Lisbon and Madrid – and another in New York. In October, the Portugal international officially opened his new flagship hotel in his homeland, 'Pestana CR7 Lisboa'.

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, on Thursday said that he would end corruption in Nigeria in the next 12 months.

Magu spoke during the official opening of the Ibadan Zonal Office and Stakeholders Engagement Session, held in Iyagaku, Ibadan. He said despite the challenges being faced by the agency, the anti-corruption war had been a success.

Magu said,

“The fight has just started and we will do it for the last. We will get them out, just give me 12 months, you will not see them again.”

The photo quickly went viral with a lot of people thinking it's really adorable while other people had a few problems with the photo; like why the children were left with a blanket which could suffocate them.

Actor Femi Branch is set to marry for the 3rd time, just a year after separating from his second wife Ibitola Branch. Before Ibitoye, who has two kids for the actor, he was married to another woman for just a few months.

A father of one of the Chibok girls who were liberated from captivity has explained why he will not tell his daughters that her mother has died.
A The Nation report has sjown that ASP Yama Pogu (retd), the father of one of the recently released Chibok girls, Margaret Yama, on Saturday said he will not tell his daughter about the death of her mother one month after the girls’ abduction by Boko Haram.

The retired police officer stated this before the girls reunited with their parents in Abuja.

Over 200 school girls were abducted from their hostel by Boko Haram militants in April 2014.

According to The Nation, Yama said, “I cannot describe to you how I feel right now because some of the girls are yet to be rescued, if all the girls where back, then we would have been able to say our mind without fear but the girls still in captivity are still our daughters so right now. All I have to say is that we are grateful to the Federal Govwrnment and Shekau, for allowing the government meet and come to an understanding that returned our daughters to us.

“My wife died within a month of our daughters’ abduction because so I don’t want to talk so much about it because it still hurts. My daughter was abducted over three years and two months ago but since God has brought her out safely, I have nothing else to say than my gratitude.

“After the girls abduction, only God knows the effort we put in and the bushes that we entered in our search for the girls but we always returned empty handed. All of us parents went into the bush and searched for them but it was bigger than us, if I say that I am going to talk about what these statements means, I don’t know what might happen, I already came before now and said everything that their is to say.
“But you see my daughter Margaret was her mother’s only daughter, only boys. So after she was taken, her mother was heart broken and could not bear the thought of it, so that is why I don’t want to talk so much about it, I don’t want my daughter to hear of her mother’s death. I am not going to tell her of her mother’s death, she has already gone through a lot as it is, I am scared of what might happen if I break such a news to her, I will wait until the rest are back and she is strong enough to tell her.”
