He has been admitted to different psychiatric hospitals on two occasions. At both times, he was treated and confirmed fit and sound to return to the society. The moment he was discharged, he quickly went back to his old ways and all the resources spent went into the drain. In one of the occasions, we were strongly advised to engage him as joblessness was one of the greatest problem causing the abuse. We got him engaged by securing a fantastic job which he also left after a week of working there. Other meaningful efforts geared towards engaging him to enable him to become occupied and start earning a living as a man also didn’t work out.

We have organised prayer sessions by powerful men of God, nothing has happened yet. I do want to sound like someone without faith. I strongly believe that our able God will make things beautiful at His time. However, the situation has gone out of control and we need to act fast.

These, amongst many, are some of the interventions already done by the family and we cannot fold our arms and watch people mock us in shame every day due to his abnormal activities in the community.

Now what he does is forcefully, take money from our aged mum, sell any family property at sight in exchange for money to buy his drugs. Beat my mum up at any slightest refusal to give him money. He has been jailed many times for committing several offences related to this habit, yet the problem persists. Maybe we have not applied the best approach?

I am calling on fellow Nairalanders to assist with solutions. I believe there are some of us here who may have experienced this problem in one way or the other, or have an advise to give to solve this lingering painful situation. Your personal or professional experience (s) may go a long way in salvaging this situation for us.

I will try to be brief as much as possible

A Close Friend of mine just joined a confraternity called Alora popularly known as Buccaneers and i've being trying to reason with him on how Cultism kills even went ahead to show him some pictures of cult members killed on their Final examination in School but he is adamant claiming Buccaneers are rich men and brilliant people's Cult group that they don't kill but i still tried convincing him that sooner or later a cult war may arise leading to killing of people and they wont start the killings from the top notch in the cycle rather from the newbies and junior members thinking he will budge instead he has being memorizing all their slangs,playing all their songs even went ahead to post on facebook and whatsapp their signs and code words.

I dont know what to do or tell him again i've tried researching on google about this confraternity killing incidence but found none besides i'm baffled with the rate at which youth are joining this confraternity, the rate is alarming and i think they may be compromised at some point to kill which will result in spree killings.

Guys what's your take on this?.
Are buccanners saint who dont kill like their Aiye and Counterpart?.

And lately when the love started coming back and i started to dwell in the things of the Lord and have thoughts about God as usuall, ... One morning i woke up and felt that familiar crrepy feeling all over me! And the thought filled me, tellimg me i am starting be weird again, ..weird, strange etc' ..i just rebuked it at once! ' Get behind me Satan!'

You would be alright.

The had of the lord is obviously on you. When all this covid blow over look for a group in your church and join.

You would do the work of God at some point in your life.

Yes i totallygree with this. I rember having a scary dream last night about such.

Had just finished my midnight prayer and in my dream i was coming back from somewhere with some random people ...and suddenly the image of Christ started flashing in the sky, more like in the form of bright Light...not in the human body, it will flash and disappear.... It happened for a while but I kept walking.
And suddenly THICK FIRE started razzing down in the earth from the sky. VERY THICK and giant. Everyone started running halter skater . Eventually I got home and the fire was still razzing and remember asking the Lord what was happening. Then I saw a piece of paper beside me and I read what was written in it, and it said that God is angry with the world and will send fire, but the fire will not touch his children or his own people.

After reading the paper, I remember in that dream I said to my self ' abeg me that have not finished working on how to hear the voice of God ( in real life I'm working in how to hear the Holy Spirit ) I am now here believing that I am receiving message from him. And I woke up.. Lol, ..i still don't take the dream serious... Like fire will come down in the earth? Nahhh I highly doubt it

Dat is the fire for revival.

While there might be a worse issues to contend with, The fire of the lord would come down upon the earth like in the beginning to draw men close to himself.

Yes the coming of the lord is near but before then a revival that would dwarf the one we have read in God generals would spring forth. Like it has ever been seen in the earth.

The lord is already talking to you bigerly.. You seem to have conditioned him to particular style. Why don't you stop thinking about the How and just flow. Listen to how he drops it into heart

The hand of the lord is heavy upon you and he would reveal himself to you in different dimensions in days to come

Although ive been quiet, ive being following closely. I see that the true intentions of this thread is derailing. This was meant to be more of am experience sharing/iron Sharpenth iron group. Now it appears to be turning to a dream interpretation group.

In the process, we've neglected spiritually encouraging each other. Also it has turned to a point proving/I have knowledge more than you affair. And its so sad.

We all need to seriously pray for understanding. With understanding comes maturity.
With maturity comes forgiveness and letting go
With forgiveness comes love
And with love comes God into this thread, becos God is love.

Anyways that being said, I just want to drop what was laid in my heart this morning and go. I hope it sits well with us.

Many people have being saying the pandemic is a punishment from God, and he is angry with the world, blah blah blah.
Now, let me inform us, the pandemic we are experiencing is actually a time to refreshen, to recharge, to re learn, to love, to understand life in a different way, to appreciate God for what we have , to have more time to pray, to read Bible more, to interceded more and lastly TO BRACE FOR IMPACT.

SOMETHING WORSE IS COMING. SOMETHING THAT WILL ALTER HUMANITY FOR EVER.

What it is I dont know. But I sure do know this, God will be there for us and guide us safely.

The second thing.

1 ----Having recently re-woken to my spiritual life and Relationship with the Lord, ..i have been praying to God to teach me to hear him well and clearly when he speaks to me. Because to live a Spirit filled Christian life, hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit is really necessary. I honestly haven't gotten to that stage perfectly... Mostimes Ioubt alot.... The ones I don't doubt is after a Very intense midnight prayer, before sleep carries me away, ..i receive a message out of nowhere, ..and I hear it clearly in my mind full sentence word to word... And I know without doubt that I did not make it up.

But I know there are people out there that in a normal day hear this voice in their heart as clear as I hear it before going to bed, with zero doubt. I haven't gotten to that stage yet, still working in my spiritual level and growth, I guess it's all interconnected?? Am i right??

2 ------Another thing, I want to talk about receiving the Holy Ghost...the way the apostles received him and everything changed etc.. Speaking in tongues, more power and Great authority.

CharlyG, and everyone else that believes he has the HolyGhost, ...there is this notion out there ( which is also true) ..that you receive the HolyGhost through the Laying of hands by a Strong man/woman of God that has the presence in himself also.
And I know my cousin sister and many other people who I know attended one heavy Anointing packed Church program, received the HolyGhost when hands was laid in them, and since that day they have been FIRE! And both do prophecy accurate while praying intesly.

And this was not so before the laying of hands they were just normal Christians that love God.

Now over to you Guys, what's your say in this?? ... Someone like CharlyG, ... People like you are born with * a spiritual silver spoon* ... You did not need laying of hands, before you started manifesting or becoming Fire. Or did you??


3 ---- And also people say you can learn topeak in tongues, I absolutely don't believe this. But I see many Churches teaching speaking in tongues,. I believe it's a gift that comes with the reception of the HolyGhost, you don't just go and learn how to speak in tongues, it's not Foreign language na. Soo this one tire me.

All of this would flow with time, Just relax. The lord is already talking to you all you need to do it relax be attentive.

While it is true that people receive the baptism by laying of hands I don't encourage it. Cos most times you receive both the good and the bad from the man of God.

Personally nobody lead hands on me, in short I don't even allow it self. That me.


But I believe with a simple prayer of Holy spirit overshadow my life to the overflow with concrete evidence with a contrite and sincere heart you should get that in less than 3 days. Depending on how God decides to work with you.

Lastlt, I don't know of the learning but it is wrong.

So CharlyG and every other Spiritual person, ..i need some guidance.

How does one remain Spirit filled every single day!?? ..i know it is a conscious effort we have to make to remain in that spirit. .. But I don't know if this happens to everyone else or only me...

Somedays I have the grace of being soon spirit filled that I can move mountains, and the love of Christ just captures my heart and takes me away, ...everything I do I'm thinking about his love his presence etc etc.... And suddenly... Maybe even the next day I wake up and boom!.... I feel just there .. Back to an ordinary person. I feel so far and almost like his absent. And it then makes me sad... ( eventho deep down I know he has not moved an inch away from me, since Christ is not man) ....

But I don't know why it happens that way, mind you I hardly do anything differently, ..sin is far from it. Especially during this lock down, I'm married and everyday life here I just avoid practically every sin I can think of. Sex is my thing, I just fulfill my wifely duties.

I believe for people like CharlyG that has gone Verrrry far in the journey they hardly experience this. ..

I read my Bible during the day ( I'm currently reading the entire Bible during thisblockdonwn, ..im In the last two chapter, Thanks to God!)
I fast everyday and I do midnight prayers everyday since the lock down.

First things first.,

You need to relax. Don't over pressure yourself.

Everybody at some point have this you are experiencing even the best of us.

Sometimes it's an attack, but the most important thing is to snap out of it and move forward.

Now that been said,

I would encourage you to always pray in tongues to recharge your spirit man. And by the way your foundation is not looking so nice, That could also be a major factor, Powers in your foundation trying to limit you and feel very unworthy but your are doing good

Pray in tongues especially at Night btw 13 and 3am. Anytime btw that time and am sure you will be alright.

My mom always gets Revelations from random people at different point in time. This started about two years ago, someone might pass through her shop and deliver a message that her children are born to be great that infact we would touch more lives positively than we can imagine.

The other time it was a man I regarded as a drunkard, he preached similar stuff and would get back to his drinking self when he's done, another time it was an aunty of mine who obviously has a gift but the love for money is making her backslide,

No one is left out in this revelation, random people here and there tell my mum of great incomming changes to expect, even those that regard themselves as traditionalist.

I really do not understand cos, they often say it with great accuracy and they even go on to state obvious wicked grandmother and children in my village and how they all once plotted to end out lives like they did my dad. I want to know the genuineness of all this cos right now even me don't get it and I'm far far from being stable financially, yet I seem to give more than I sometimes have.

They are very correct, Both men of the dark and the light can see.

But Jesus sure pass out of all of them. They only told you the end of the road nobody they wouldn't tell you how.

That it has not manifested physically is not an indication that it is wrong, it is only an indication that there is a lot of work to be done.

People like you who they have told this kind of stuffs need to be really close to God and pray well so that it can a manifest.

I actually had this dream before I started my current job.

In the dream it was in the middle of the night. I was in my former place of work. I was at the reception gisting with our office secretary. After a while, I pulled off my skirt, I was dressed in a corporate attire. Immediately my boss came inside the office. He came back with a lot of people. They were corporately dressed but some looked weird, I don't know these people.. Immediately I saw him, I ran and hid myself behind the door and wore back my clothes.
As I was at the door, I met an elderly colleague, we call him "Alhaji"because he is a Muslim. He asked me where I was going and I told him I was living the office, he asked me to come back inside the office so that we can discuss about the reasons why I want to leave but I refused. He then told me that he was going to report me to my father, that I have not even stayed up to 2years in the office and I want to leave. I told him that he can go ahead and report me and worked out.

At the window, I saw another colleague his name is "chinedu". He tried convincing me to stay, I told him that the office was making me sad and depressed, that I deserve to be happy.

At the staircase as I was going down, I was confronted by another colleague he was following me behind, the most senior lawyer then in the office after my principal. His name is "John". $ He was scolding me and told me that it is ridiculous that I am living just because am not happy, that I should look at him, that he has been in the office for several years. Then, I looked up and asked him what he has achieved with his life since he started working in the office, he didn't reply so I kept walking.

Immediately, our secretary ran after me. Her name is "Ijeoma". She gave me a laptop and stabilizer. She told me that it belongs to me. She asked me about my wig and gown and I told her that I will be back to collect it.

When I got downstairs, I discovered the road was deserted, the streetlights were shining and the weather was very windy. I looked at my right and saw a very tall man standing beside me. He asked me where I was going and I told him am going home. He looked at me and asked me to go back upstairs and wait for him. I refused and he chased me. I was running and was panicking because the road was deserted and the time was late; I had no one to call for help. I kept running and he kept chasing me. I crossed the road and he still came after me. Immediately I looked back and saw a tricycle coming, I flagged it down and entered. There were three persons inside and I joined them. Luckily, the tricycle was going towards my house. I woke up.

Well, The lord revealed somethings about where you use to work.

It's a good thing you let the place.

Maybe you were feeling you lost something as at the time he was revealing why you needed to grateful for leaving.

There is a strong man in charge of that place, the beauty is you were able to recover a major part of what you is yours but you still have some items left there.

In summary, The lord took you out of what woukd have been a bondage. Suffering and smiling

There are some powers monitoring you but the beauty of it is. They can hurt you. But they attract wrong peeps to you.
