For those of us that already linked our application online, are we going to recieve notification e-mail (on our registered e-mail address) from the CIC to notify us when there is an update on our online account?

Good day house, i tracked my passport on vfs now nd i discovered it has been dispatched frm accra since 14th of june. does it mean my passport is ready for collection or i shld wait for their mail. @maziude @austinpee4 @wealth360 and other gurus in the house

Thanks for the clarification. However, did you do PGD back to back? Biko, clear me on how you arrived at the 3yrs work permit. The info is very much valuable to me.

Hi NL's has anyone who submitted their paper application has even been able to use the VFS online tracking application to get the status of their application after it has been processed?

Coz even my last online application that was delayed in march was still showing application being proceSsed at our Lagos office and I re submitted on April 19 I have not had any luck updating or linking online and haven't received any info from CIC OR VFS. Submitted my passport upfront with lots of VISAs in it including Yankee.

now peeps approving my TRV no be concern now self but make my passport return back

Anyone with an advice of what I can do or who can assist with linking my application I have tried all writer steps here, I probably might be missing something coz those who have succesfuly linked theirs says it's pretty much simple

This should be of help to all those trying to link their paper to online application, I had same issue but had it resolved after following these steps.

I have listed steps to link your SOWP Paper Application to CIC Online

(1) Go to this below listed link 
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp
(2) Click on continue to Gckey
(3) If You've already account created, login with your Username and Password otherwise Click on Sign up to go on next page and create your username, password and security questions. 
(4) After creating my CIC account, click link application to this account. 
(5) Then select category as Temporary residence and subcategory as Work Permit and extension.
(6) Then select Family name, given name and date of birth option. 
(7) Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth as per Passport or Application form.
(8.) Next in applicant personal info panel fill Passport information only and DO NOT FILL CITY AND COUNTRY OF BIRTH. 
(9) In Details of intended work in Canada info, Select Open (initial application or extension) for What type of work permit are you applying for?
(10) Select applicant's Current country of residence (For example, if your spouse currently living in India, Please select India)
(11) Select Current marital Status 
(12) Next select Spouse or common-low partner of a skilled worker if Applicant's Spouse on Open Work Permit or PGWP in Canada Or Select Spouse or common-low partner of a foreign student if Applicant's Spouse on Study permit
(13) Once you fill all information, Click on Search for my application
(14) Your application will be found and can be linked. 
(15) You can get real time updates on your paper application online.

Bros, did you also got this mail from them "We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 09 Jun 2017 to the Canada Visa Application Centre". When did you submit ur application and is it paper application.

My people how una dey, Canada is hard o but Nigeria is way harder, everything here is digital. Smartphone is COMPULSORY. Most people here are respectful and everything is organized. A ride is somehow important because some places are not accessible by public transit. This place is diverse, every continent is represented but my present location is dominated by indians,jamaicans and canadians. Weather not too bad because its summer. This place is expensive mehn,if u keep converting money to naira like me, u fit begin cry. To barb hair na $20, me wey get beard na like 27-32$ i dey spend but na small money here sha.

First few weeks were lonely and boring because i really missed my family. On the social scene, me enter one nightclub mehn..plenty hot girls lol, really enjoyed the nyt. My pm no dey work so if u get question you drop it here and i will reply when next i get time.

Cheers brethren......don't waste time in naija,the earlier you are here the better.

I have never been denied a visa before

1. So my question is my course doesn't relate to my first degree.
2. Most people are using sponsors. Sponsoring myself is that a problem. I really don't want to have to lie
3. Sincerly how long does it take to get response
4. All family members can enter Canada legally. Is that not an issue

Please gurus in the house abeg evaluate n tell me what to do better

First, u are not suppose to book ur flight b4 u get ur trv (it is well stated ). secondly, check all the details u used in login and see if there's a mistake if not keep trying it and it will show u (look out for ur date of birth, and other security questions u filled while opening the account )
