joesbuba: There is absolutely no justification for tearing the passport. but one thing am sure of is the fact that it was not done because of hatred for Nigerians. looking at the report, you will agree with me that details of the incident is incomplete. I personally have travelled to different provinces in South Africa almost 10 times between 2010 and now and no policeman or immigration has accosted or harassed for once! I suggest people not to jump into hasty conclusions here. this is a purely governmental issue and I am sure after proper investigations, we will all have a clearer picture of the incident. we are all Africans, I dont see any reason for resentment towards one another. As a Nigerian genuine traveller, South Africa ranks among some of the best countries I have been privileged to visit. You can travel through SA but I've lived there for ten years, travelling through and living in are dif stuff.... Seen, where police, tear pple passport cos they(Nigerian) did not give them bribe, seen an immigration guy on Cor cellists and esselen tear a guy south Africa ID cos he cannot bribe the police, I know some may wanna say maybe he does not know his right, south Africa, is mistaken to be a second world country cos of amenities, but when it's comes to human right, it's zeroooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....... I was once denied boarding from SA to Europe, just because I'm using a non SA passport,............ SA govt need to straighten things up, from the police, bheki sele to the likes of Julius malema and the Zuma, are all corrupt and need over-hauling. |
henrychubayo: This 9ja guy is a fool if he did nothing. This is an opportunity for him to make good money. Sue the south african police force, because on no account do a police man or any other have right to destroy the property of another country. In south africa here, if a police man slap you and you sue him for assualt, he will surely regret and eventually pay damages if the court finds him guilty. The problem wit 9ja guys here is that they always busy with business and many say they don't have time for it. Plz the poster if you have the number of the guy, plz send it to me i will help him make this money. First thing he should do is, report to the nearest police station and nigerian embassy here and case finished. Here is not like nigeria. This guy is rich plz and sorry for the police officer.Where do u stay in south Africa, I stayed in Pretoria for ten years, a professional and not on the street, there has been no proper justice system in the country all through and I only left SA last year, if he goes to the police station he will be arrested, I promise u.... An incidence happened between me and a doctor friend, a taxi picked us from hatfield to sunny side and lied that our bill was 100r rather than 50r, we went to the police that night and my friend had to sleep in the cell cos we don't speak Zulu....... He better shout out on platforms like NL, south Africa treat Nigerian like dogs, check the issue of Nigeria pro wrongfully accused, the govt never did anything to it...... |
The story should be investigated and pls seun, follow this up. I lived in south Africa before and the police hate Nigerians, just because a Nigerian did fraud before does not mean everyone in south Africa, are fraudster, I've seen this stupid local south African police treat Nigerian bad and even the govt can't say they knew nothing about this all, everyday, nigerians are maltreated by the immigration, police etc..... Pls lets join our voice and be heard..... If things don't get better, guess Nigerians should pay back the south Africans in Nigeria same way.... |
Take your time and never marry who u don't love, green card/ been an american is good, but I promise you, that alone cannot give you happiness and joy in marriage, and who told you that some single guy don't go for ladies with a child, I once fell for a lady like that who has a child and I don't have a child and we both live in the state, its just that her family stopped us. Pls, take care of your baby, refocus on your life and keep achieving, not unless you a failure, you will meet that right single guy who will luv u& ur daugther like a queen&princess one day, just trust in God... |
Gr8 country, nice pple and one sadc nation untouch by 9ja menace.... But very strict when its comes to fraud or paper issue, also, u cannot gain citizenship easily like sa, swaz or les.... Go for it if u got the thick skin... Better still marry a bots gurl, they so straight and beautiful, gud luck.... |
You can, there are thriving bussinesses in SA if u know how to go about it, 1st, going to china and dubai to buy stuffs to buy in SA, but be careful of branded stuffs cos they seize them, 2nd- renting apartments and renting it out to pple per rooms, u can display d adverts at shopprite, pick n pay and stuffs, also, u can open a salon and u will make some profit. Selling cars from salvage, fixing them and selling on gumtree and other classified. SA is a nice place to live, and if u wanna make your choice, I'll suggest PE, Pretoria, limpopo or durban..... But u need to know so well before going and hve enuf info, money and thick skin. I stayed in SA for years and relocated to the states for better....... |
I knew three of dbanjs boys, i heard them say, though he may chase skirt, he knew what he is doing. One of them "u can quote me" by name cheche said, that guy's indeed african michael jackson, he is ready to put the name of africa on the world map, like the likes of sunday adelaja, mathew ashimolowo, tudor bismark did in christiandom. Lets support this great talent from nigeria and lets stop this whole thing of bringing him down, he's just 32 and doing exploit, many people talking him down are just his age and still putting on pampers, living in their parents house and not knowing their purpose or passion in lfe and yet dbanj he's not the son of a president or minister, this was a former yahoo guy, who knew fraud ain't good and discovered his passion, he started from the onset so why dont we believe in him, support him and let him put our name on the map. I was in Hawaii and i heard his music in a latino's restaurant and that alone made my head to swell up. Oladapo Oyebanjo, carry on, the Lord be with u jare.... DBANJ HAS A STORY WHICH WE CAN ALL SEE AND READ, NO STORY NO GLORY.... |

South Africa, is indeed a good country if you know what you want and doing. Not all Nigerians are fraudsters in there and i know a couple of friends and myself who came on just normal visa and God did helped us through. Ty, a friend, applied to a university in pretoria and now, he is a full lecturer within a space of 4 years. If you know sunnyside in pretoria, we have some nija guys doinggreat for themselves ie, halifax, bisi (taste of africa), not to talk of musician (kunle ayo and others), etc, this are guys that came o SA with little or nothing and were consistent in doing what they know how to do. I started a biz and was able to turn things around, it may not be easy in the first or second year, but trust me if you are serious, not moving with the bad eggs, and not carried away by the lerato's and palesa's, you can make it. As a matter of fact, going first to SA then transending to other contry, gives you upper hand than moving resh from nigeria. I relocated to the state recently and my expereince with life in SA thought me to start off as an entrepreneur in USA straight off with little or no amount. Lesson learnt, be deligent in following your dream and purpose, put God first and just have this win ... Win.... Win mentality. South africa is still the best country for me, pls its a personal lesson, experience and suggestion. Hard work is a currency that that you can spend in any country or continent. |
You need to et to south africa first, then get to the lesotho embassy in hartfield pretoria, processing takes about 1 week. Since you are a Nija passport holder, all SADC country goes via South Africa and now you need a southy visa, except Mozambique which is visa. Free with nija pali..... Nice country, viable economy and better than southy for biz oriented pple.... |
