OP, I guess you mixed up with the wrong people. I live in the US. Came here few years ago and enrolled in a program that got me my present job. I'm in the 6 figures and I love what I'm doing. I believe in Nigeria but a whole lot of overhauling need to be done. I schooled in Nigeria, but because of the bad eggs in govt, I couldn't get a job for years and that was one of the reason that prompted me to relocate. Your statistic is wrong and Im telling ya'll very wrong. In the US, attend any sunday service of the RCCG and you will see loads of professionals (young and old), doing something meaningful Not just the church alone, but everywhere. Move with the right set of people and let them show you the way..... |
My advise is this, pray about it. I came to the U.S on a B1 visa and went straight to school. It's not a bed of rose but trust me, with determination, hard work and positive mindset, you will survive it. You can look into some of this professional short programs, IIBA,PMP and stuff, get certified and you will get a company to sponsor your work auth, it's ain't easy but it's possible. If you know what you doing, you can make six figures, and mark my word 6figures. Not unless you have something reliable to live on in Africa. Lastly, have enough money with you and cover your grounds very well. Ask your In-law if they can accommodate you for about 6months. Make your enquiries and talk to the right people, and not those who don't know what they doing in Canada. Good luck |
Nice thread.... Mine is indeed a miracle. Got a Gr8 job with the DC Government, not qualified but God did it, this is indeed the hand of JEHOVAH, and let me use this to pray for as many people looking for a good job and not just any job, God will intervene in your case and you will surely have a testimony in a matter of days in Jesus name. |
– Paul Crouch, the televangelist who built what's been called the world's largest Christian broadcasting network, has died. He was 79. Crouch died at his home in Orange, Calif., on Saturday after a decade-long fight with degenerative heart disease, his grandson Brandon Crouch told The Associated Press. "He was an incredible businessman, entrepreneur, visionary; he built something that impacted the world," he said. Trinity Broadcast Network had reported that Crouch fell ill and was taken to a Dallas-area hospital in October while visiting the network's facility in Colleyville, Texas. He later returned to California for continued treatment of "heart and related health issues." "We mourn Paul's passing and he will be greatly missed. But we know, as the old hymn reminds us, soon enough we will see him again in that great `meeting in the air,"' the network said in a statement Saturday. Crouch began his broadcasting career while studying theology at Central Bible Institute and Seminary in his native Missouri by helping build the campus' radio station. He moved to California in the early 1960s to manage the movie and television unit of the Assemblies of God before founding Trinity Broadcast Network in 1973 with his wife, Jan. They grew the network into an international Christian empire that beams prosperity gospel programming to every continent but Antarctica around the clock. The programming promises that if the faithful sacrifice for their belief, God will reward them with material wealth. Based in Costa Mesa, the network says it has 84 satellite channels and more than 18,000 television and cable affiliates as well as a Christian amusement park in Orlando. The Crouches faced criticism for what critics say was their extravagant lifestyle. Ministry watchdogs have long questioned how TBN spends the hundreds of millions of tax-exempt donations they receive from viewers. Last year, their granddaughter and her husband's uncle filed lawsuits alleging $50 million in financial improprieties at the network and detailed opulent spending on private jets and 13 mansions and homes around the U.S. for the Crouch family's use. The Crouches dismissed the allegations, and their attorney said the network's spending was in line with its mission to spread the gospel throughout the world. He was survived by his wife and their two sons, Matthew and Paul Jr. |

PRESCOTT, Arizona -- The 19 firemen killed in Arizona in the worst U.S. wildland firefighting tragedy in 80 years apparently were outflanked by wind-driven flames in seconds, before some could scramble into cocoon-like personal shelters. Details of Sunday's deaths of all but one member of a specially trained, 20-man "Hotshots" team remained vague a day after they perished in a blaze that destroyed scores of homes and forced the evacuation of two towns in central Arizona. But fragments of the firefighters' final moments painted some of the picture as an investigation was launched into how the disaster unfolded and their remains were borne away in a cortege of 19 white coroner's vans to Phoenix for autopsies. The solemn procession from the team's home base in the town of Prescott was welcomed by a police and firefighter honor guard after passing beneath a flag-draped arch of ladders extended from two firetrucks parked on either side of the roadway. Fire officials said the young men fell victim to a highly volatile mix of erratic winds gusting to gale-force intensity, low humidity, a sweltering heat wave and thick, drought-parched brush that had not burned in some 40 years. The deaths brought an outpouring of tributes from political leaders, including U.S. President Barack Obama, who is on an official trip to Africa. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer called the deaths "one of our state's darkest, most devastating days" and ordered state flags flown at half staff from Monday through Wednesday. The blaze was sparked on Friday by lightning near the town of Yarnell, about 80 miles northwest of Phoenix. It was still raging unchecked on Monday after scorching some 8,400 acres of tinder-dry chaparral and grasslands. |

Pastor Tayo Adeyemi (The founder & Pastor of New Wine Church), is dead. He died on Sunday night at a non- disclosed hospital in England. Until his demise, it has been rumored of him been constraint to the wheel chair due to paralysis for some months. He has been through series of issues in recent times from divorce with his first wife to marriage to a member of his choir. He is known to be a great Bible Scholar, a motivational speaker and a great British/ Nigerian in diaspora. One of the seven Ecumenical Borough Deans in Greenwich is Pastor Dele Olowofusi, Assistant Pastor at New Wine Church; he represents the Black majority churches. EBDs are representatives of Christian churches to local government in London. Pray for the family for God to be with them and may his soul rest in peace. |
Sundahjoe: It is u guys that are dumbs or brainwashed. I rechecked his prosphecies for 2012. They came to pass. Check for nigeria, a lot of prominents nigerians died during the year e.g governor. Wat bout natural disaster, flood misplaced people, properties and houses. For international, tell me if civil unrest in some countries did nt end. Wat bout the power that changed hand e.g zambia won the Afcon, chelsea won the champions league, mancity won epl. U guys are fools not the pastor. MtchewHonestly, now I know there are people that don't really know where they are going in life, alots of this people talking against Pastor Adeboye have not made Jamb and if they have needs a lots of prayers cos they are in great poverty.... Pls, I'm only pleading with you Nairalanders to stop this habit of talking against God's servant, even if He ((God) never said something, did God appoint you his advocate to tongue lash the man ![]() ![]() If most of you think it's easy to start a church and gather millions, pls start one, cos most of your parents name are not even known or have we seen any single positive impact made by any members of your family in the past. Rather than them facing their future and praying not to be a ffailure like some of your family members who had noting else but taking against their priest then, you busy on nairaland talking non-sense. My prayer is for God to forgive you, but before he can, there ought to be a genuine repentance. Even if Adeboye is not a pastor, IS HE YOUR MATE, WE'RE YOU THERE WHEN GOD SPOKE, DID GOD TELL YOU HE IS FAKE..... I'm not a redeemer, you can say whatever you wanna say about what I wrote but trust me, your talk is just some noise and I'm just too blessed to descend to talking to most of the tyrant that are still collecting stipend from your parent. |

People, especially Nigerians talk with less action. Why not take this vexation to Abuja and other government officials that steals money per minute.... Please, leave Bishop Oyedepo alone, guess all of this people got enough problem to handle than speaking on what does not concern both you and me. Please, seun osewa, let's leave topic like this out, you cause most of this young people to have hatred against few noble people and they talk things that may affect them in future.... If anyone wanna know how Oyedepo spend and where he got his money from, go to otta, Ogun state and ask him by yourself. Enough of talking down on someone to boost and draw traffic to your site man. We naija in diaspora love what you dong but this whole issue against men of God has to stop for God"s sake. |
The death has been reported of Nollywood actor, Enebeli Elebuwa who passed away in the early hours of today, Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Confirming the news to NET, the PRO of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Frank Dallas, described the veteran actor as a friend, brother and veteran that will be greatly missed by both colleagues and the Nollywood community as a whole. Elebuwa, 65, had been battling with an undisclosed illness for over a year and was reported to be responding to treatment in an India hospital, where he was being treated until the sad announcement. His death comes shortly after that of other veteran actors like Akin Ogungbe, who died last week, as well as Pete Eneh, who passed on last month. |
Awesome..... If only believers can get involved in things like this so that our children can watch decent stuff on TV rather than all the junks been shown.... |
No Nigerian musician charges more than 30k outside Africa per show except The likes of Asa(foreign record label)... All this hypes by dbanj and co are just some funny flaunting.... For them to earn 200,000$ they need to be able to hold a large concert with huge crowd and for now they only make sense among d nijas. Femi Kuti once did that but couldn't maintain it. |
A lot of people talk like 2year old here. I'm not a member of Word of Life and I'm in far away USA, the church has about 35000 people, with a whole lots of professionals and bussiness people, so tell me why won't they be able to appreciate their pastor and spiritual father. Poverty is indeed a disease and when one thinks he cant get to some places in life, he will never get there. Wake up people and face reality, Pastor Oritsejafor has paid his dues to his members and humanity enough f talking down responsible elder state man like this great man of God... |
