Hello Guys,

Compliments of the season. I'm one of the silent followers but I have some information that if I don't share, would be quite unfair. My source in nlng resumed today and I told him/her to check and the news he/she gave me was mind blowing. He/she said that the recuritment has been moved to 3rd/4th quarter (between Sept/Oct). I had to ask if it was 3rd/4th quarter of 2015 but to my greatest shock he/she said no, 2016. I currently have a job (a decent one for that matter) and I've always made plans around my job having in mind that I may move to Bonny/Ph soon but with this news, I'm moving on with my life. Whenever nlng calls, I'll answer but please my fellow hopefuls, don't make plans around this recruitment and everyone should move on with their lives. For those that have "sources" please ask them and I'm sure they'd tell you the same thing (except they're not in the know). God Bless.

well ,I am not saying he wont reduce cost . however , one of the key problem that would be tackled is unemployment as written in their manifesto. if Gej wished to tackle unemployment, I don't think the other lng projects needed to be stalled.

lokodon: It appears the certificate verification on now is for foreign trained candidates. Nothing from NLNG to my school(in Nigeria). For NYSC and schools at home, I believe the certificate verification would be after the AC. Hence, we can conclude that the reason for the seemly delay is the 'Ebola Phenomena'. I must commend the authorities at NLNG for their careful considerations. To support this inference, the interview for the experienced hires has been postponed indefinitely after an initial shift to end of this August. So, we can take our time and pray that Ebola die out of Nigeria so that the national state of emergency can be lifted because I sincerely don't see an AC in an emergency. While the wait to invites last, let's make good use of it.

Incorrect. AC has always been fingerd to be in September so we are right on schedule. Corporations can't just stop business process and decisions because of Ebola. I'm sure they'll put cautionary measures in place.

So I tried to shake this off but I couldn't. 2007 about 400 went for ac and about 220 were cleared and clearly passed. But they only hired about 89 or so. What was the criteria used? Fancy current job( a lot of them hired back there were kpmg, uba bank etc), man-know-man or state of origin. Now my concern is, I work I an accounting firm that is nott poular or big. I can't help but think fancy names and other factors may come into play for the final selection. Udo!

Heard the actual start day of work isMarch, 2015. Hope that's not true oh. Also, hope nepotism doesn't come into play.
