I really dont know under what circumstances did you guys become husband and wife. If it was a normal procedure - dating and courtship before marriage, I believe that you must have known a little about his character.

For you to stay together and have 3 kids, I also believe that things were not this bad. I really also don't know to what extent you have gone to make it work.

You can if possible check the line when it became this bad - that is the last time you guys had a peaceful relation. There is always a line between the good and the bad. So, kindly check that line and see if there any thing you can to bring about peace in your home because you need peace in your marriage not because of your children but for your sake as well.

If you need to bring in people who you think can help make things better if you have not already done so, please go ahead and do. If your husband is physically about you, even though verbally abused is also deadly, let some people be awared of his lifestyle towards you. Please dont keep quiet.

Then, also be very sure that his frustration is not caused by you.

We have known for over ten yrs and got married after 4 yrs of courting. the situation is already affecting mu daughter of 5 yrs in that she knows exactly what is going on. The other day, she was watching TV and she saw a man mistreating his wife, she started saying this is how my daddy used to beat my mummy, I was shocked, dont want them to grow in such environment.
I really dont know who to tell cos he doesnt involve any relative in our lives. Thanks for your advice

thanks for ur advice. marriage is to be enjoyed not endured. i have been enduring for almost 7yrs. just looking for the best possible way to end things cos of our 3 kids. so exhausted of the emotional turtoure and abuse. tired of him telling me to leave his house everyday.

@pavore, doesnt need it to process any document. talking is only when he wants to quarrel and never gives me audience. we live seperate lives even though we are under the same roof, and tired of living like that

Hello my people, each time I have a heated argument with my husband he keeps demanding for our marriage Certificate, and I wonder what for.
if he wants a divorce cant he start the process without it, or if he needs it desperately cant he approach the church or court, there are copies there. So because of his demands, I decided to hide it. Please people that knows, kindly tell me how powerful the marriage certificate is, in the hands of a women during divorce process, does it protect the woman in anyway. Thank you.

for 3 weeks now my car sometimes refuses to start, I dont know why cos I just serviced it a week and some days ago.

it hasnt happened in the morning but afternoon after driving for a while. I went somewhere last week, after spending about 15mins
I got into the car and wanted to go but it didnt start, it just kept giving a rolling sound. I tried severally yet no way. I called up the mechanic, he said it was fuel pump which I changed and it started working. 6 days after, I drove the car to a place and parked, by the time I wanted to start the car like 5mins after, it didnt start again. I tried for some minutes without success, then started calling my mechanic, by the time I finally got through to him, it was 2hours after and he said he was far away. So I decided to try again and it started, this was on Saturday and it's been working fine since then.

This has happened like 3 time in the last 2 weeks, pls doesnt any one know what could be wrong with the car.

Please note that it is not battery as the battery is working perfectly.

We can easily have an uncontrollable outbreak in our hands if we don't think through this action appropriately.

Until we have a cure to the ebola virus, (local or foreign), kids should stay home. One infected kid oin a school can easily transmit to a class of 30 in less than 4 days especially in the public schools where hygiene is poor and teachers care less about the health status of the poor kids. 30 infected kids could easily mean 30 infected families and the multiplier continues. This could easily result in over 100K infected cases in just a month.

ehnn thank you Oga, if they like, let them resume now. I keep telling my colleagues that my kids will never resume school until the vaccine for Ebola is found. infact I have discontinued the services of the lesson teacher i employed cos of this. one infected child can wipe out a whole family. 1 year loss in their academics will not kill them but Ebola will.

you can only try your possible best to communicate by initiating the discussion in a subtle manner but when all else fails and you cannot force his mouth open to talk what do you do. each time I give him distance he becomes the one starting up talks.

I quite agree with you, but desperate issues requires desperate actions. Like I said tears and pleading didnt work for me and I tried every 'soft' way possible, it only made him treat me more awful. I got tired of seeing the kids cry as I cried too and I needed to be strong for them. I have read and seen how a husband's maltreatment killed the wife, I want to be alive for myself and children.

Well I cant completely say that I am happy cos I dont like the fact that I have to ignore my husband sometimes but since that is the only language he understands and responds to, I got to apply it. I use to weep at his feet each time we had issues, he walks over me and let me cry till my eyes are swollen. but these days, he is the one doing the begging. though am very careful how I apply it sha.

I hate it too; I want to be self sufficient and happy by myself, I want to be that woman who ignores her hubby, live her life, take care of herself and her kids etc I make a new resolution everyday sumtimes ill tell maself I will ignore hubby and just be happy! Am succesful at this until I see him or he gets bak from wok and say sumfin nasty to me or ignores me.my heart breaks all over. At a point I travelled to Ghana by road to source for goods, d trip was unecessaer but I needed a break, I promised myself that ill have fun and not think about hubby or home. I dint last 24 hrs, I started calling him , he piked and told me he is busy and shld atop bothering him, he even set his phone to rejectamy calls permanently. Oh girl no time for dolling oooh, let me tell u wot works for me.... when my hubby begins acting funny, I just distant myself completely. If he like make e use e head waka, if he refuses the eat, no problem, I and my kids eats the food in his very presence, if he ask questions I give straight answers, I tell you he cant carry on for more than 3-4 days he will be on his kneels begging unlike before I use to cry and beg at his kneels. he now knows that Kaki no be leather and he wonders where I get my strength from cos he know I also do not have friends.
