Music Business / Three (3) Reasons Why You Need A Sponsor Or Record Label For Your Music(part 2) by Magnanimousduke(m): 7:09pm On Feb 10, 2022
In the first part of this post I mentioned why you need a Sponsor for your music career. Which is, it will boost your career. You will use less time getting to the top compare to trying to do it all by yourself.

Here is the remaining two reasons.

2) You can afford to make mistakes.

When you have someone covering the promotion end for you, you will be able to work without any pressure, you will be able to experiment, you will have creative freedom to take certain “risks” and even if you make mistakes, you will be protected, because sponsors know every song will not be a hit, and every show will not pay big.

Sponsors are not betting everything they own for you to succeed, and even if it doesn’t work out, they will not mind.

Getting a sponsor also means things like accommodation, your upkeep, and feeding is already sorted out for you. If you are doing everything yourself, there are certain risks you cannot take, you will be under pressure for your one song to be a hit, you will struggle, and despite all of that, you still may not succeed.

And Lastly

3)You will make more money.

Have you heard the saying, “you need money to make money”? It’s very true in the music business, where appearance matters a lot.

Sponsors will spend money to get you into the circles that will get you gigs and shows.

Getting a Sponsor or Record label to boost your music career can be a walk in the park if you know how to go about.

Music/Radio / Three (3) Reasons Why You Need A Sponsor Or Record label For Your Music by Magnanimousduke(m): 12:34am On Feb 08, 2022
Forget talent, for you to become a music superstar in this era and in this our beloved country 9ja , you need a huge amount of money. I am not talking about hundreds of thousand naira, I am talking billions. I am not saying you don't need the talent ó, just that you need money to augment it.

So if you are not from a wealthy family, forget about having a blasting career in music except you have a strong backer (sponsor or Record label)

Music is one of the tools you can use to change your financial story. All you need is just a hit song, then boom off you go.

Making a hit song is easy for many, promoting the song is the hard part because it requires huge amount of money. This is stumbling block for most upcoming artist which is why you need a Sponsor.

An example of this is what Kogbadi (international promoter) did for Portable ( zazoo crooner) in promoting his latest hit song Zaazoo Zeh ft Poco Lee and Olamide Badoo. He was able to feature Badoo because of his promoter which increases his listening audience which will in turn generate lots of money for them.

So why do you need a Sponsor.

1) Your career will take of faster : Look, trying to promote your own song all by yourself is tedious hard work.

You will go cap in hand, begging DJs, radio personalities, established music stars to help you distribute, and most of them will say NO.

And it’s not because they don’t want to help. It’s really because they also have their own money generating stuff to push. Why would they push yours and leave their own?

You see?

But a sponsor will simply buy your way into the right circles. They will pay DJs to spin your songs at parties, they will pay radio personalities to play your songs on their shows, they will pay other artists to feature.

Sponsorship means SPEED!.

I will reveal the remaining 2 reasons in my next post.
Do follow me so as not to miss it.

Thanks

Business / Four Interesting Facts You Should Know About Afro Ecommerce by Magnanimousduke(m): 11:42pm On Feb 07, 2022
Hi,
I hope this finds you well.

My name is Quadri Oloyede, I am a certified Pharmacy technician and also an online business consultant. This is supposed to be my second article about online business but the last one got banned immediately I posted it which means I violated one of Nairaland's rule. I hope you will get to read this.

There are lots of opportunities online to make money , but not knowing about them is a loss on one's side. Which is why I started this.

The online business I am writing about today is Afro eCommerce.

eCommerce
This simply means buying and selling on the internet. This is very common these days. Almost everyone is selling one or two things on one of the social platforms we use these days such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter etc

Afro
This is a word that is often used to describe anything related to African origin. Example of that is Afrobeat, which means African beat (as in music).

Afro eCommerce.
Buying and selling online to neighboring African countries. In the case of this business model its specific with Ghana/Kenya.

The current population of Ghana and Kenya are 30millon and 50 million respectively according to both countries population censors as at 2019. Which amounts to 80 million.(it more than that now)

50% of these population have access to internet. This means we have over 40 million people as prospect to sell to.

Why Ghana?

As at the time of writing this article 1 ghc = 66.36 Naira. So this is an opportunity to earn in an higher currency than Naira.

The four interesting fact are as follows :

1) You will sell in Ghana/Kenya without sending or by a single product from the comfort of your home.

2) It requires little start up fund.

3)You do not need to confirm customers order (virtual assistant will handle that).

4)You won't go through the stress of waybilling goods.

What you need to get started.

A laptop.

A good internet.

Facebook, Instagram, Google Adverts.

Funds for advert.

An open mind to learn and implement.

Who can do this?

Newbies,

Graduate,

Undergraduate,

Housewives, and

Anyone who want to earn legit money online.

I wish I could tell you more about this Afro eCommerce but this article is longer than I intended.

Thanks for reading.
