Nice.I concur with you that Glycerin works wonders.I know what it did for my skin then but the problem is getting original Glycerin.Do you know where i can get undiluted Glycerin?.
If you do,i'll be glad to know.Thanks.
lady gogo: Nigerian girls!

You will of course get darker because you live in the tropics. The sun makes you darker and not the cream you apply on your skin.Try staying in a colder climate for a while and notice how your skin becomes paler.the need for Sunscreen is also a farce.(google the sunscreen industry). most of the suncreen creams contains harmful chemicals anyway. you actually need the sun, but not too much of it.

i stopped using suncreen and now use jojoba oil and sweet almond oil(both are good moisturizers and contains some sunscreen). good old lemon will clear your spots. glycerin, aloe vera, mango butter, shea butter, coconut oil, vaseline etc works wonders.

exfoliate your skin.
Drink lots of water and eat lots of veggies and fruits.

Stop wasting your money! smiley
Nairaland / General / Re: What's Your Opinion About The Left Hand? by magnuga(f): 11:52pm On May 17, 2013
I am left handed and proud of it.What i usually tell people that criticize is that - GOD created both hands,so why the fuss?,except the devil created their own left hand.
What i just do,i give out things with my right hand and with it.There are other things i do better with my right hand like when ironing and using the Scissors.
I use my left hand to write and do a whole lot of other things majorly.
I simply love my left hand and so so proud of it.
Its good to be different! wink
Nairaland / General / Re: What's Your Opinion About The Left Hand? by magnuga(f): 9:00pm On May 17, 2013
Correct!
Egba girl:

Wrong. It's never too late to learn anything. I been practicing for a lol bit now and I can now write, eat, and do a bunch of other things w my left hand. As a matter of fact, I'm getting so used to it that I usually hold my pen in my left now and most times I eat w my left. Practice makes perfect smiley

Oh plus I find that my left hand is stronger than my right. I carry things more easily w my left and when I work out, I have to concentrate a bit more on the right cause the right be slacking!

Anyway the koko of this long epistle is that, you can learn anything you want no matter the age as long as you are determined to.
Romance / Re: A Thread for Single Ladies :) by magnuga(f): 9:50pm On Apr 26, 2013
bukatyne: hello Carmiedoll, I really proud of what you accomplished with this thread. It's the first I've seen where ladies and guys discuss about ladies without bashing. Well, you deserve an award. i wouldn't qualify as single according to your definition. A lot of people have spoken(written)well on this educative thread. I have noticed a few things which I would like to share:

1. Let dolls endeavour of be women of their words: A doll should not say something because it's in vogue. A doll says she's a virgin and the bros finds out later that it's not true. It discredits all you have ever told him. I remember one evening in school my guy and I went to this Mamaput to eat. A friend brought one of his 'runs' and this girl was ranting that she likes girls that are adventuous like spending 2 days in the forest etc and the guy was just smiling. My guy and I was like when did spending two days in a thick forest become an adventure? A doll says she eats only this , uses bottled water to brush her teeth bla bla and the guy finds out they are lies. We lose credibility.

2. Let dolls be content with what they have: Yes, very doll wants to look good, wear Jimmy Choo shoes, Carry Gucci, Prada and LV bags but we should remember that all fingers are not equal. We should be content with what we can afford. A guy is NOT our meal ticket. Back in school, a lot of dolls used stuffs their parents couldn't afford and felt they are enjoying life (whatever that means). We should not compete with others around us. God has given everyone of us something to make us stand out. Discover it and develop it.

3. Dolls should know there is no perfect man out there: A lot of dolls are looking for the TDHR dude: Tall, Dark, Handsome and Rich dude in addition to the God fearing, Intellient, Caring, Loving, Pampering etc qualities theyu want. Every dude out there has an imperfection. He might be dirty, impatient, short, fair etc just how we are not perfect and we have to be patient with them. He might make wrong judgements, mistakes etc but we encourage them in live. However, DOLLS PLEASE know that some 'imperfections' are unacceptable: Cheating, Abusing(emotional, verbal, physical) etc. We should also note that even while we try to adapt to his imperfections, HE MUST be working towards changing else there is a problem. He should pratice becoming more patient, tidy etc.

4. Dolls should develop their self - esteem: There is nothing as attractive as a doll that radiates confidence. She is beautiful, kind, gentle, believes in herself, is at peace with the world because she is content with who she is and is competing with no one. Confidence or self - esteem is NOT the same as been RUDE or VULGAR. Most dolls are rude because they are naturally on the defensive. They feel they have no worth and hence start doing gra gra to cover up. We should develop ourself character wise, knowledge wise, domestic wise, career wise etc and stop competing. No matter how beautiful or rich we are, there is someone out there better so why don't we develop what is unique to us: Our minds? When we have healthy self eteem, some dudes naturally won't come to us because they have no substance (not referring to money or material stuffs)to add to us. We will start to attract men of value into our lives. When we mistakingly accept losers into our lives, we immediately discharge them We know we are not handbags to always be attached to a man and take our time before making a choice. We know we have no business with cheats and abusers because we deserve better and know our worth. Remember that dolls don't beg a man's love.

5. Dolls should stop trying to earn a man' love: This sounds funny but a man that doesn't love you will never do no matter what you do. Love can't be forced dolls. NEVER FORCE A MAN TO MARRY YOU ELSE YOU WILL ONLY SMILE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY AND LIVE ALL THROUGH YOUR MARRIAGE IN SORROW. Once a man loves you, he will do everything to please you. Here is the tricky part: NEVER take a man's love for granted. When he does things a conventional man wouldn't do because he loves you, don't take him for a fool else you will regret it. Don't turn him into a discussion topic with your friends. Appreciate him and look for ways to please him too. Yes, some of your 'friends' would laugh and say 'hey, you don't do bla bla for a man' but pay them no mind because they don't know what your man does for you. They don't see when he cooks for you but when you decide to cook a delicacy for him, you are 'spending' too much. They wouldn't tell you they are also looking for such opportunities. We should mind the advices we follow. Before you decide to 'deal' with your man the way all 'men' deserve, has done anything to deserve such treatment?

6. Dolls should strive to be women of influence: What are our goals? visions? dreams? Getting married? Giving birth? and after marriage waht happens? we stop impacting our world or living life because we are now MRS? Please look around you and see what you can change. Decide to do everything you are involved in differently. See people in need and extend a helping hand. Life is more than BB, Brazillian weaves, etc. What gives you joy? Discover it and do. Please note that money/material things do not give joy. What do we want to be written in our obituary? The woman with the best collection of prada bags? The woman who knew all the major hotels? Mrs so and so or the woman who touched lives? the woman who volunteered in church? The woman who gave her all to motherless babies? Who fought for ...? We should live our live according to what we want to be said about us in the end.

7. Dolls should add value to their relationships: Now you have a man or friend or someboby: what value are you bringing to the table? Food? S/ex? Cleaning? I tell you that if a man only want these, he wouldn't bother with a wife because marriage entails sacrifices and so much giving from both sides. A brother is looking for a companion he can fall back on. Someone that he can hold hands with through the journey of life. Do you encourage your man with words? How has his life improved since he met you? PLease don't tell he you cook or clean; you're not his maid. Can he count on you for advise, do you trust his judgement? can he trust yours? Are you a warm blanket or a cold one? Can he find comfort in your arms? Do you ridicule him? Can he really be himself without you jugding him? Do you pamper him? Take him for a treat? Treat him to the good things of life? Do you tell him you love him? Not after BB 10 or Gucci Bag! Do you tell him you are feel blessed you have him? (He must really be a blessing to you sha). Valentine is coming; show your man/friends and family love.

8. WE dolls should fear God: This is really the most important. Develop a personal relationship with him. It is not easy, I'm still trying but it's so important. He's the only one that can sustain us. He never fails; that loving dude can change tomorrow but GOd is ever faithful.

Sorry for all the looooooooooooong epistle.

TO ALL THE DOLLS; YOU ROCK! I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN LIFE!
TO ALL THE TEDDYS; ALL THE BEST DEVELOPING TO THE FAITHFUL MEN THAT DESERVE VIRTUOUS DOLLS!
TO CARMEDOLL; A STANDING SITTING OVATION!

Well said/written.You also rock,i as well wish all the best in life.Just gbaski! wink

Technology Market / Verizon Tab With 3g For Sale! by magnuga(f): 12:18am On Mar 06, 2013
Many people have different pads that are merely decoration, because they can't move documents around from between their laptops and their pads, and because they can't use the same applications on both devices. There is a big need for an effective pad, that has capacity to substitute your laptop, substitute your phone, give you access to your email and social media sites, and also be used for presentations, entertainment and more. This welcomes you to A2W's Verizon Tab.

Now imagine if you can have a tablet that will have USB so you can copy files in and out with flash drive and even connect external hard drive to it.

Imagine if you can work on the go e.g. create, edit and view Excel/Word/PowerPoint documents, view your AutoCAD drawing on the go and print wirelessly.

Imagine if you can insert GSM SIM card in the same tablet and make phone calls, send SMS, chat with Skype Video and browse anywhere.

Imagine you can connect it directly to your TV via HDMI cable that comes with it, imagine you can charge it with your blackberry charger and car charger. Imagine you can copy files directly from your laptop. Also imagine that it comes bundled with child educational applications and games, so your son or daughter can have a go at it as well.

What if you can even watch DSTV live, African magic, CNN, Super sport 3 and many more on the same device without paying for new subscription.

Imagine that you can use an Internet modem with the device as an additional internet source, and convert the internet asset into an internet hotspot for 5 other computers.

Imagine if the tablet is very affordable, and best of all, imagine that it comes with a Business Pack application that gives you a personalized website, a tracking centre, online marketing tools and an opportunity to earn extra income from building a business with the device.

Package Inclusions:

The Verizon Tab 2 (7.1inches, 8GB memory, Android Ice-Cream)
3G
Folder and Stylus
HDMI Cable
Ear Piece
USB Adaptor
Direct to Laptop connector
Children Education Materials and Games
Business pack: Business Tracking Centre, Personalized Website, Online marketing tools and access to other extra income opportunities.

Business / Re: Little Known Ways Nigeria's Richest Pastors Made And Are Making Their Money by magnuga(f): 3:54am On Apr 04, 2012
I went through this thread and saw all the exchange of words.
We do not need to be insulting one another.
There is freedom of expression, therefore everyone is entitled to his/her opinion.
Each person could always express him/herself without insulting the other person.
This issue about Men of GOD doing this or doing that is a very sensitive issue and we have to be extremely careful.
Leave the judgement to GOD for every hidden thing is NOT hidden to HIM.
Thank you and GOD BLESS.
